Oh lord that reminds me of the first time the FOAM cover leaked on this forum and at first we thought it was a 5 year-old messing around with Paint and we were like "nah, this can't be the real cover, must be a joke"🥲 Whatever comes next, I'm all in. The live shows last year were amazing but the FOAM era in general never grew on me and I'm so excited now that we're entering a new era (hopefully!) Hallelujah!

Are hidden tracks still a thing? I mean a few years ago it made sense when you played the vinyl and suddenly it wasn't over, but since everyone can easily see how long each track is, it's not that "hidden" anymore 😄

I'm not quite sure I agree with that. Green Day is at the fortunate point in their career where they don't need the promise of playing new music to draw a crowd and any smart group of folks organizing and running a music festival should know this.

Yes. It was an old 90's clip of Tre burning his drums onstage with a roasted marshmallow emoji. I don't know why they deleted it but now that we've noticed and started dissecting the potentially meaningful emojis of the previous TikTok, maybe they thought we missed the clue and wanted to draw our attention back to it. Makes it even more likely that its an intentional clue to the announcement of the tour and the album.

I'm really surprised. Not allowed to speculate, that smacks at free speech. A few pages back on here it was suggested that posts to this topic be edited and deleted if not relevant or reckless. As long as we comply with rules of forum and are respectful to all members and are truthful as @Little Boy Named Booze has totally been, what's the problem, even the occasional, "it's out this Friday". This is the most popular topic going, which says a lot. I can't keep away. Goes to show what I've always believed, out of all the GD forums, if you want to be in the know about GD both serious and to have a laugh, imho GDC is the best.

The way the emotions are distributed do look like an album tracklist, with a similar mix to their albums in the past: Tracks 1-5: High energy bangers 6-8: Fun and joyful 9-10: sweet and sentimental 11: sad 12: Fun and joyful again 13: love song 14: Angry ("I hate you" song?) 15: Funny or silly song (could be a short one for a final track, like a Tre song)

Yes, true. But I feel like some producers are glorified"yes-men". The best producers push an artist to be their best, or at least better. A good producer challenges and stretches the artist. Greenday at their best are brilliant, but at their worst, they can be mediocre. They are capable of both, and Billie, as we know, doesn't always take constructive criticism well, and if he is surrounded by people who are protecting his feelings, things can go haywire. I feel like Cavallo and CLA are better able to shape the genius and draw out the best in Billie's songwriting capabilities. Knowing when to leave a creative process alone to flourish and when to step in and offer suggestions is an art from in and of itself. So in that sense, I do think the producer matters.

Anyone else feel like we are about to get more silence from the band, and that this could go on for some time? I want fictional track lists on reddit. Or weirdly named accounts being only followed by Tre Cool and Snoo. Or a short description of a song. Heck, at this point I would take a "maximum Green Day firing on all cylinders" quote from Dirnty Dirnt. I feel like Green Day are going to lean into their most popular styles, and make an album like Dookie, but with some American Idiot depth and concept sprinkled in. I can hear Billie saying "it's not a concept, but you can kind of piece together the story if you're like That Dude or something". And really quick, I know you guys hate it....but speculative title #11,593 - Pink Dress. And Ruse of thr Rubes should be revamped for this one.

Yeah whilst I'm happy if this is true back in 2009 I had a friend who worked for one of the ticketing companies who told me Green Day had other dates pencilled in in the UK/Europe (including my city) but they never happened
