Impossible. Green Day management said to the FEQ they were touring for a new album. So it's a new album.15 points

I wanted to make thing clear so I asked my friend some clarification about the little details he told me and what he knows. I'm gonna use Google Translate for this conversation because it's faster. *Blue square is important* (the rest is him and me talking shit and taxes) ME: I need to know something because people are going crazy on the forum I frequent. The information you had was that they were really touring? Did you have a single or album date? Anything? HIM: No that's it, I don't have any dates apart from the July 16 show of course, but when they contacted us it was really for a tour of which consisted of a new album. So logically yes there should be at least one new song by July 16th. So that's it. You can have any questions you want, I don't have an answer lol. But I really believe an album will be out before July. That's just my guess. And my friend isn't a fan of Green Day either. I mean he and his team booked them but that's it. That's their job.10 points

@Little Boy Named Booze You're carrying a lot of resposibility for our mental health here my man10 points

Wisconsin / Québec is really fast in airplane but that's a good point maybe they start their tour in Canada on July 16th. I really don't know honestly. Don't wanna speculate anything. I'm the new sanity loan ladies and gentlemen. Well I was for a day.10 points

If they tour this year I'm very curious if they're gonna go through dynamic pricing route or try to keep prices affordable as The Cure did. Honestly, I'd be very disappointed if they opted into dynamic pricing. Less of a chance of me seeing them.8 points

Please now say Green Day will be the focus of the summer and you just seal the deal! Honestly, thank you for giving us something to be excited about in a while8 points

I have no knowledge of a date. It's a speculation. But logically that's what going to happen. If they are touring for a new album then they need to have at least a new song by the festival in July lol Between now and July isn't a date.7 points

I hate being the one having the info. I prefer being the one receiving it and getting excited. But it's kind of cool to have some scoop on my favourite band for the first time in my life.7 points

Personally can’t wait for all the “announcement coming on X day” posts to turn into “hope the tour comes to X city” posts. They grow up so fast.5 points

This thread has me way too excited. My main hope is the cryptic emoji message in Green Day’s tiktok hinting to A potential Easter timed announcement.4 points

april/may single june/july north america tour (playing hellamega setlist + the single) later in 2023: album release 2024 world tour 🤔4 points
-
When you think about this it's not that much. We wanted a release date for an album or a single and we still have nothing. All we know is the single will drop between now and June/July and that when the single drop, everything will be really fast (album announcement, tickets sale, etc...) Yes it's nice to have this info but we kind of knew 1972 (if it's still the name) was coming soon.4 points

@Little Boy Named Booze is the new top insider and has won Insider Wars so far. Sorry @Sanity Loan.4 points

Ticket prices will be higher than they were a few years ago, but dynamic pricing makes it 1000x worse. Turns a 75$ tickets into 300$ if the demand is high enough.4 points

If they announce it on Easter Monday the 10th and start selling merch bundles and presale codes, is it likely the presales would begin the next day or would it be the following week? Does anyone remember with Hella Mega how they did it? They had a new TikTok I posted of Tre burning his drums and now it’s been deleted. But the previous one captioned “Are We the Waiting” has some emojis referencing juggling 🤹♀️ the calendar 🗓️ and easter 🐣 as well as bus and other tour emojis. Sorry, forgot where I saw this, but this is what I meant4 points

Nice idea, let's provoke him... so he will be angry and will give us more info to win this competition.3 points

I anticipate a single by the summer. Album drops in the fall. As long as it has at least 14 tracks, regardless of the length, i'm good. Musically im not too worried about it. More then likely they are not going to reinvent the wheel and the album will be mostly punk rock. At this point they should just pump out albums when they are ready and have a good time playing it live. With them touring and eventually doing a tour in vegas with blink it wouldn't make sense to not at least start promoting the new album and possibly a few tracks live.3 points

They've been teasing us for a year and a half. Of course they would wait all this long to start any kind of negotiation... Nah, dude, they are already under a new record deal with Warner and they are already booking shows for summer. We don't know the release date yet, but thing are moving forward for a while3 points

I’m watching this info take on a life of its own on other sites. You wouldn’t believe how much you know now 😄3 points

There are many, but I think the pinnacle of my embarrassing Green Day moments is when I got onstage, went the wrong way, fell over and looked like a zombie crawling out of a grave when I got up. But it was also my best Green Day moment so it's a happily embarrassing one I thought a dookie was a hoodie for some reason... and I did have internet access then. I also thought Minnesota was some kind of twirling technique (we weren't taught anything about the modern US in British schools then) and "Minnesota Girl" meant Adrienne was really into twirling. I can at least blame that on lack of internet access. We won't talk about what a lot of fans thought "holds my malachite so tight" meant.3 points

Oh feel free to laugh. You can hear people laughing on the videos Billie was either too nice or too confused to laugh. Probably confused tbh.2 points

One time back in the day I killed my parents chopped them Up and gave the bones to the pit bull next door. I made it all the way to the show just to be arrested back stage before the band went on.2 points

What if they announce a tour but don't announce an album or any new music...2 points
-
You don’t usually go through this kind of channels to book such a concert, at least in Europe it does not work like that. That seems more like a broker for organizing private events.2 points
-
It’s a tourable amount. One festival they’re on I can tell you is a 250 mile radius clause which isn’t crazy but made me realize they’re not coming here 😅2 points
-
It depends. Last year in Germany and France they played festivals and their own shows as well.2 points
-
Well I don't want to be the killjoy but don't festivals usually have something like an area protection, so that bands can't tour in the same area in the same time with their own shows?2 points

Wow $1.5-2 million or don’t even bother submitting an offer for an event. They’re pricier than I thought2 points

Was googling Green Day tour dates and found where you can hire them. https://www.celebritytalent.net/sampletalent/690/green-day/ That one has 2500 and up while other sources have them listed at 1.5 million to 2 million.2 points

That's what I'm saying! I understand if items aren't ready or if there are shipping delays, but tell me that up front. Don't keep me in the dark wondering what happened especially when other people start saying they got their orders. I know lots of people want to support bands and buy from their own stores, but issues like this is what drives people away. This isn't the first time they've done this. Last time I ordered something, didn't hear anything, threaten to cancel, whoop my package suddenly has an update. It shouldn't take me saying please cancel my order to actually get some movement on the package. The only good experiences I've had with band store is PUP (they had awesome customer service!) and Turnstile. Green Day has a terrible store. Creeper has an awful store. And AFI has a pretty crappy/overpriced store too.2 points

Three months. It's been three freaking months. That's how long the Green Day store has been giving me the run around. After firing off a FIFTH message this time asking to cancel my order, I suddenly get a message that says my order has shipped. Unbelievable. I really hope to never deal with their store again because it fucking sucks. Shipping delays, that are never stated up front, high shipping fees, high prices in general, and poor communication. Screw that.2 points

Probably like hella mega and RevRad. You pre-ordered and got the code after the announcement weeks later 1-2 days before when tickets go on sale before public sale.1 point

No I don‘t speak french but interesting fact. If it‘s true they should announce it at least in april because of the short time to sell their tickets if they start touring 2 months later 😕1 point
