  1. Breaking news: the Master tapes were stolen.

  2. Hadn't heard Still Breathing in a while and I don't care what anyone else says, it's one of Green Day's best, most genuine and emotional songs, and it was great live. I remember thinking that Still Breathing and Forever Now at Hyde Park were some of the best performances of Billie's I'd seen. RevRad was a great record. Tempted to finally get a Still Breathing tattoo if I've got any money left over at the end of my next holiday 👀

  3. Hopefully not, but plz let him be the band will let us know things when they’re ready to

  4. I understand that, but they ended a world tour a bunch of months ago, they are in between album releases, and a normal world tour will most likely happen after the album release. Also in terms of planning and organization I guess joining a festival is much easier than booking and organizing individual dates. I mean, to me here the alternative is nothing or festivals. What we usually get between album releases is nothing. As a European I get nothing, and it’s kinda funny to see Americans complaining cause they get something 🙃

  5. We get greedy in this thread. Green Day have gone longer without records or teasers. I’m also eager for new music, but I’d rather it be good and ready rather than rushed. I think their marketing strategy is whack but, in the end, it’s their choice not ours.

  6. I can understand your point but in a fandom people are gonna complain. We're not always gonna like what the band does which includes a full year of festivals. Some people are gonna love it and that's fine but I don't think there's anything wrong with expressing disappointment over these announcements. And I think the complaining happens both ways maybe not with festivals but I've seen plenty people overseas complain about not getting something that Americans got, which is understandable when it comes to your favorite band. Of course you're gonna be bummed out! I think the disappointment is normal, especially when it feels like we've been waiting 1972 years for at least another teaser. Can it get tiring to read? Yeah of course especially if you're someone who would love a festival announcement or what have you.

  7. Is there a spam shield we can place in this thread? 😒 Or a filter to block irrelevant bullshit? A Spamblocker. That would probably reduce the thread to 10 pages in total though..

  8. Dookie….AI….21st Century Breakdown…every song from those albums have at least been played live once….whenever they release a new album and a proper tour I don’t see why they can’t rotate at LEAST 2-3 songs with album tracks they never played live….like Babs ulva who?? That would be wild live…Panic Song at least once..WESTBOUND SIGN MY PERSONAL FAVORITE SHOULD HAVE BEEB A SINGLE…up until AI Insomniac was their 2nd biggest selling album yet it gets completely ignored…Nimrod..Uptight..Haushinka..yes I love that song…Walking Aline…Jinx..from Warning Misery, Hold On..Deadbeat Holiday…also Bang Bang should be a live staple..they are selling themselves short by never ever playing some of their great album tracks live…cut out King For A Day and you can add 2-3 songs their easily..drop Knowledge and Rick in Roll All Nite then there’s 2 songs…that could give us (Westbound Sign/Bab’s Ulva Who?/Uptight/Deadbeat Holiday right there)…still my favorite band and I’d see em every night but they have such a deep catalog and the die hards would love to hear these…even give Walking Contradiction JAR and stuck with me more love…drop St. Jimmy and bring back 21st Century Breakdown or Maria or Warning..also Redundant should be played much more

  9. "Choreographed and lack of passion... Prototypes of what we were" Wow. redundant Lyrics makes totally sense about GD Shows setlists... sadly!!

  10. "Oh Yeah", your right, I'm sure I'm not in the "Minority" that sadly this topic is deemed a little "Redundant". I'm tired of "Waiting" for some news. I'm a "Misery", "I Want To Be Alone". My mates are calling me "The Grouch" I'm so "Uptight". I'm desperate to gain some "Knowledge" of some progress, but "No One Knows". But "Hold On" stop being an "American Idiot" be positive and look to "See The Light". Take the "Longview" and maybe go on "Holiday" before I become a "Basket Case". They say a prayer sometimes helps, I'll try "Church on Sunday". "In The End" though I really need a rest before I "Suffocate". Perhaps go to bed for a long sleep. But, If by some miracle of biblical proportions, the album is released in October, maybe some kind soul on here will remember to " Wake Me Up When September Ends."

  12. After they’ve spent a year and a half teasing a new album? You tell me you don’t feel a burst of excitement when you see an Instagram notification from Green Day and then a crushing disappointment when you find it’s just another festival announcement with what we know will be the same setlist they’ve been playing for two years.
    3 points
  13. While I agree that the prospect of another year of generic setlists is disheartening, at least they’re still getting out there and playing shows, giving fans the chance to see them in places that they play less often than others - Louisville and Quebec City for example. They could just as easily have packed it up after the two year Hella Mega run and rested on their laurels until the next record is released. In all likelihood, in a decade or two Green Day won’t be playing nearly as many shows as they are now. Don’t take them for granted, even if they’re “just” festivals - let’s appreciate them while they’re still going strong, still near the top of their game after some 35 years.

  15. While you replying “You hate fun, don't you?” to a post that was not directed to you is not aggressive at all right? You asked me a question, I replied. My first text post in this thread was my perspective after a few posts started another extremely negative debate over the band in this forum. A sport that is getting very common and boring to my eyes. Which especially in this case from my perspective had no reason to exist, since it was spawned by a post of yours, where you tried to start a negative speculation based on nothing. As time already proved. Which is exactly what happened, with people including you arguing about how much this band is or has been out of touch for years. I am tired of this constant negativity around the band on the forum and I will point that out when I want to.

  18. Of course it's exciting that GD are announcing new shows, but for me at least, that excitement wans when it's festivals. The older I get, the more unpleasant festivals become. I get some people really like the idea of seeing multiple bands in a weekend or day, but they're just overwhelming and tiring. Give me a good ol fashioned tour! And at the rate they're going, it makes me sus that they might headline Riot Fest this year since they did Lolla last year...

  19. A release in the fall is increasingly inevitable

  20. I really think we're in for something big! Judging by the teasers and the fact they have Rob Cavallo and CLA back on board, they seem to be putting a lot of love into this one!!! If it were just another throwaway fun celebration of rock album like FOAM, they would've released it already.

  24. Another garage sale this summer? Last time it was before the whole Hella Mega era so maybe that gives us a clue to the timing of the release again if they’re busy unloading stuff for another big infusion of cash and housecleaning in time for fall.

  25. I bet your a secret believer. 😉

  26. Yeah, but this time it still feels the same and they going ahead with the release. The delay is because they are spending all efforts destroying the Network. Physically and legally destroying them.

  27. What criteria would you use to determine irrelevant bullshit though? I mean what's shit to one guy, could smell like roses to another. You would probably need a clear and full description of what type of shit is not acceptable, ensuring there's no confusion. Otherwise you would get guys posting shit that they think is acceptable shit, when they inadvertently posted unacceptable shit. Would you consider this post to be acceptable shit or unacceptable shit. 🤪

  28. I never quoted you in this thread and you keep picking up my posts, I get you are bored but you can also move on 🙃 What is actually fun is that you are saying I am being negative when you are the one playing with the ongoing negativity in the forum trying to build speculation around a hated song being in the next record when there is no reason on earth to believe so. But keep having fun with that if it brings you joy, never said you are not allowed to

GDA's down now I've wasted, fake it, ate it now i hate it cause I cannot post. I've lost my voice. Theories are redundant cause we all want something new. I'm lost for words.

  33. Chances are it's gonna be the same setlist. But not 100% sure. We don't know what's going to happen until their first festival on July 14th in Milwaukee. 4 months from now. I still believe for some new songs 😇

  36. Exciting to see the new signature line finally released, they look great! Looking forward to hearing how they sound. While we’re on the topic, something I’ve been wondering about for a couple of years now that I hope @foxborohottub could lend some insight - what’s the likelihood of another Reverb x Green Day garage sale in the future?

  37. Taking the setlist of the Innings Festival 23 as a standing point, I tried to create a realistic setlist which may be performed with the release of the new album. I took some songs out, included unnamed new songs instead and changed a few ones. (I had shared my dream setlist previously which wasn't realistic) This is for fun. So without a definite song order the new realistic and fun setlist can be as: -Bohemian Rhapsody/Blitzkrieg Bop -lntro Theme 1- New Song xx 2- Welcome To Patadise 3- American Idiot 4- Holiday 5- New Song xx 6- Boulevard of Broken Dreams 7- Longview 8- New Song xx 9- All By Myself/Dominated Love Slave 10- Bang Bang (changable with Nice Guys Finish Last at some dates) 11- Hitchin' a Ride 12- Viva La Gloria 13- New Song xx 14- When I Come Around 15- Give Me Novacane/St. Jimmy 16- 21 Guns 17- Going To Pasalacqua (changeable with Paper Lanterns or Armatage Shanks or Stuck With Me at some dates) 18- Minority 19- Knowledge 20- Basket Case 21- She (changable with 2000 Light Years or Burnout or I Was There or Scattered at some dates) 22- Wake Me Up When September Ends 23- Jesus of Suburbia 24- Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) So no Know Your Enemy, King For A Day, Brain Stew, Geek Stink Breath or Rock and Roll All Nite but adding 4 new songs and including some old ones by changing them from date to date so the setlist won't be exactly the same for each date. I just had fun thinking on it and wanted to share.
