Even if it not a total surprise, but announcement with single, album next month. Just hoping they dont do another Foam strategy.6 points

They're not gonna move units anyways, it's 2023. That doesn't happen anymore. It's better to make a big splash and get people talking.5 points

It's already 7 February here in the UK which means FOAM is three years old today!!3 points

Nah, I actually think a surprise drop might actually get people more excited than a regular release strategy. They absolutely are big enough to do that with success. You don't have to be Taylor Swift or Beyonce.3 points

Dos and Tre got really screwed. Their releasing were pushed forward and then absolutely no promotion whatsoever. With the right set of singles, I honestly believe the Trilogy would have been a massive season of growth for the bands popularity. Before "THE INCIDENT" they were all over tv. all over the radio. all over the internet. playing everywhere, all the time. TRILOGY RULES!!!!!!!3 points

Well, the music has to be good to even have a chance. Unless you're Taylor Swift or other artists who could put out literally anything and it'll be cherished as the greatest thing in music history.3 points

Green Day store told me to contact UPS. UPS told me to contact Green Day store. I'm never getting my package I guess.2 points

Can't wait for the 25th Anniversary of FOAM. I can retire a few years after. 😄2 points

Limp Bizkit dropped their album out of nowhere affer 10 years. It performed very well in some streaming charts (they‘re not as big as Green Day). But I think they see their new album as a bigger project than FOAM. And the announcement/promo for Fall Out Boy wasn‘t very big or long-time2 points

@Sanity Loan said they won’t. He believes they got the single out early to coincide with the Hella Mega Tour announcement2 points
-
We need a pre-Trilogy strategy for sure this time around. If everything could go smoothly for the band, it would make all the difference in the world.2 points
-
I doubt we’ll have that. I assume the FOAM single was out early intentionally to coincide with the Hella Mega Tour announcement.2 points

Typical, what the fuck, no one wants to take responsibility these days. You've raised an order in good faith. Paid the price, including shipping, and no doubt they've banked your cash, so why should they give a shit. You shouldn't have to do the chasing; they should sort it out. If they can't do the job, then thy should have paid Amazon to do it like the album. At least you would have had tracking. There's a time limit for delivery, if it's not arrived you get your money back. I bet if the band knew what was going on they would kick arse.1 point

Holy crap I haven't been here in forever but I had a dream the other night that I'd like to share. I was at a concert and Tre Cool came out and told everyone that they’re not going to play the concert anymore. Then, he sat down next to me and then Billie Joe sat on the other side of The. I asked Tre for a selfie and he said yes, I asked Billie if he wants to be in the selfie too and he said no. So Tre and I took a selfie and I also should mention for some reason that he looks like he did in the revrad era. And that’s about where the dream cut off1 point

Trilogy would have sold 8 Billion copies if Billie had been able to promote. It's so awesome. I personally loved the Stray Heart video, so while it would have been weird they could have promoted and toured without Billie Joe.1 point

Worst case, the following Friday. I mean, eventually we will be right.1 point

Green Day isn't big enough to be successful with an out-of-nowhere album. They could have done it after American Idiot but not now. It would be fun though! I keep telling myself I shouldn't listen to pre-release singles and just hear the album when it all comes out but that's so hard to do. A surprise release would certainly make that possible.1 point

Can surprise album drops be commercially succesful (if you're not Taylor Swift)? I don't want the next GD album to be ignored and hope it gets as much attention as possible 🤔1 point

Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump praises Green Day's genuine friendship: "They hang out with each other" https://www.radiox.co.uk/artists/green-day/stillf-hang-out-together-say-fall-out-boy/?fbclid=IwAR1IoFeUzAYXn7EvmTo5e0RV_QGmnhdQGgESBQ7G5IC-6wvAtZRtcxmG4MU1 point

I just scheduled surgery on the 17th. Billie's birthday and a surprise album drop sure would bring me good vibes and help me feel better ❤️1 point

Or is he really the cutie feigning the bad boy… actually I think we know the answer to that 😂😂1 point
-
Billie does the bad boy trying to feign innocence so well and it drives me crazy. It's so cute. Like he's the boy next door but behind closed doors1 point

You’re obsession with this is unsettling. Go out and get some fresh air. It’s none of our business.1 point

Green Day store is a joke. I pre ordered the limited edition of FOAM with no censoring over the motherfuckers part on vinyl. It got lost between the store and UPS and were never seen again 🙃1 point
