I hope we get a Dookie 30th anniversary edition. The anniversary is only a year and 2 months away!!!! And then that September marks American Idiot's 20th!!! Hopefully we'll get to hear the Cigarettes and Valentines sessions as well!!! And with 1972 coming out some time in 2023, this may be shaping up to be the biggest 2 years in Green Day's history!!!!

Safe to say that the marketing strategy just continues down the road for each passing year. As I said before FOAM, the marketing strategy is shit. There is no other way of saying it. A live version of songs we've heard so many times already, there is nothing exciting about this at all, we just get dissapointed every time there seems to be someting exciting about to happen. Same goes to teasing new music and how they promote it. Sure, it is fun getting unreleased music from the old times, but the strategy just seems so odd, there is no continuity in what they're doing and promoting. The 1972 teasers that randomly appear and goes silent for another 6 months seems so strange. Releasing live music of songs there are already 100+ versions of isn't exciting, releasing live music from newer tours of songs and shows we haven't heard before or we haven't had so much of must be a better way to promote and make their music known to fans (or upcoming fans as well) i.e. Give me a full show video from the RR, 99R or 21cb tour with songs that's not Basket Case, She, American Idiot or KYE and that would be so much more exciting than a live version of those that we've already seen so many times. With that being said, Green Day do whatever the fuck they wanna do, and that is alright. That is what I like so much about them. The music (even though we've heard a thousand times) is awesome, but please, be a bit more creative.
