  1. I miss the American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown days when we'd get the band talking to Rolling Stone and all these different media outlets talking about the sound of the songs and production stuff before the album was released. That stuff was 1972 times more cool than these tik-tok-teasers we get now. Billie Joe talking about his lyrical inspirations. Mike Dirnt talking about cylinders and fire, ready aiming or whatever he says. How did they start discussion about the albums before American Idiot? I don't remember anything before that. Now I wonder how Whatshername has been.

  4. Def not true they had their voicemails for a couple years and the official greendaymusic.com forum that we(probably no one else here) used to use before this one also their website was pretty updated and Brian Dr Ron greenday.net became part of official news and fan shit also between 1995 and nimrod era there was a lot of updates on official site. Also there was this awesome site called rockontv.com that would tell you any tv appearance even an interview that wascoming up for any band it was pretty cool

  5. Just stumbled upon this Clearly it is bullshit but why ??? It looks like it's written by AI or something. https://www.boysetsfire.net/jason-white-leaves-green-day-after-20-years/ P.S the (AI bot?) Rambles on about some mystery whether Jason White ever recorded with GD which is just silly they could at least read his wiki PPS don't visit the site it's clearly shit there are no links to any resources to back it up. Plus Jason has been playing with them recently Oh and lol at this one "band from the late 1980s has had a tumultuous history. Several scandals and problems with the band have caused a number of members to leave Green Day."

  6. The anecdote from the gal on Jeopardy tonight was about how she met Green Day when she was a baby. Apparently all she did was stare at Tre’s green hair, hah.

  7. Since the album is all but confirmed to be done, there is a percent chance higher than 0 that they surprise release the album

  8. This is your craziest post so far, it is obvious they are different people. They do not even share the same name, how could they be the same person? They don't even have the same bone structure, this is truly an insane post

  9. 21st Century Breakdown is the most depressing album and I love it for that lol. With the exception of See the Light, every song is just really dark in one way or another I'd agree with you that Warning is the happiest album. It's their most optimistic album for sure

  11. I’ve wondered the same. But I think Billie was just excited and got ahead of it wanting to share a little of what they thought was gonna be an EP. Then more people got involved, more songs, Cavallo and they held them back from sharing too much (which might be a good sign). I think the wait for an announcement is sooner than later.

  12. I would like to know ChatGpts summary / prediction of the next Green Day album sound based on the previous album descriptions AND so I have! here is CHATGPTS prediction of possible album sounds Describe a 3 different album styles based on Green Day’s history of evolving and experimenting with different sounds Green Day has a history of evolving and experimenting with different sounds over the course of their career. Here are three potential album styles that the band could explore based on their past work: Punk-influenced: Green Day's early albums like "Dookie" and "Insomniac" featured a raw, punk-influenced sound with fast tempos, distorted guitar riffs, and socially conscious lyrics. A new album in this style could feature a stripped-down, aggressive sound with a focus on fast-paced songs and politically charged lyrics. Pop-influenced: Green Day's later releases like "American Idiot" and "Revolution Radio" incorporated elements of pop and arena rock into their sound, resulting in a more polished and commercially successful sound. A new album in this style could feature more radio-friendly, catchy songs with an emphasis on catchy melodies and upbeat tempos. Experimental: Green Day has a history of experimenting with different musical styles and approaches, and a new album in this style could feature a diverse range of influences and sounds. This could include elements of genres such as folk, electronic, or funk, as well as more unconventional song structures and instrumentation.

  13. This time, I’m sure they’ll announce a single a few weeks in advance, and I doubt they’ll make us wait for the album as long as we did for FOAM (September-February). If I had to guess, maybe March-April (Or May)

  15. Awesome indeed. Green Day live are something else. Can't wait to hear all those live tracks on Nimrod 25th from Electric Factory Philadelphia. The amazing music, the banter between songs, and the sound and roar of the crowd. Just close your eyes and feel you are there with them. Heavan.

  20. They did not. Only a few updates may pop up on greenday.net but the internet was a very different place back then...

  21. And I think I remember hearing the first RAK sessions were done without Mike, who recorded his parts remotely. Maybe after that, they wanted to do a proper session with the band all together and maybe that’s what inspired them to just keep going to record a whole album!!! This should explain the move to Ocean Way!!! EDIT: I think they went back to RAK first if I’m not mistaken

  27. Definitely listen to it! I heard it long before I ever knew it was a cover. When I first heard the Wham version, I was like what the... Who the hell would do this to the Jimmy Eat World song!
