  4. I received some demos from the band today. It is called Mother of All Dark Roasts. The demo is a light blend of songs. This is also the first potential GD release not to feature guitars on tracks. Billie Joe was marked as: Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Keytar, Synthesizers, Piano, Harmonica and Mandolin.

  5. Caw-fee? Okay, back to our regularly schedule speculation. The album will be out "when it's fucking ready!"

  6. Respect your point of view, for you it's the studio stuff first, and the new recordings to hear for the first time. And that's cool. For me, I love the variations you get from live shows. I suppose having seen the band live, it's not just the music, it's the atmosphere, the guys around you, the sounds, it's just GD and you, and you and GD. Nothing else matters, nothing else exists. So listening to them live at home takes you back there. So yes, looking forward to hearing new songs and demos from album, but also can't wait to hear the live tracks too. I'm just crazy I suppose. And no, I can't wait to get my physical copy, another GD album to treasure. Along with all the others CD's more valuable than all the crown Jewels in tower of London.

  7. I think Green Day live albums are great for 'lookout era' songs, so we can hear them with better quality recording mix and sound... Either with some songs like Minority or good riddance that are very different live

  9. Two problems for me with that sweater. I could have pushed it even with the price but it's 30% wool and I can't wear it. Just as well, I really didn't want to spend $180 on a sweater (I was hoping for cotton/acrylic closer to $120). I get that it's an artist's collab but damn.

  10. I get that excitement from video releases of live concerts. Watching something like BIAB or even AAF makes me feel more immersed than listening to a live recording. Still, it's always cool to have official live releases of older songs and deep cuts.

  11. I quite liked the b&w cover posted earlier, but don’t like this at all.

  21. Tré turns 50 on Friday. I have a strong feeling we’ll be getting some 1972 news, or at least another teaser, now that all 3 of them are 50!!!

  22. I truly feel the same about live albums, they don’t do much for me. I collect them cause I’m a collector but don’t find myself listening to them often. I’m mostly excited about Nimrod cause aside from being my favorite album, we get a lot of rareties and cool packaging.

  23. I really don't like live albums that much. Sure, there's some gems, but this "Nice Guys Finish Last" just meh. A fine performance and the sound is good, but it sounds almost exactly like the studio version. There's just not a lot to say about it. It exists. Has anyone else changed their mind about purchasing a physical version of this? I just want to hear the unreleased stuff and that's what's most important to me.

  24. That was the best era since 21CB. And even in my book RevRad was my best era from them.
