This. Releases take time but they started this in October 2021 and was being mixed in the Spring they’re not going to wait a full two years to release it. It will be out before a summer tour. Hella Mega is over. This will be an album they’ll actually tour on.

Hoping for something soon! I could wait until March. I can wait for the new era of Green Day. I have a feeling it will be really great. They starting teasing and leading to nothing too soon. I wish there had been more of a plan rather than randomness and then nothing. I’m sure the new album will be great. I want to love the new album.

What I think we can say is that mixing took place after February 2022, because in the video with CLA we already saw his Dolby Atmos setup

I'm a massive Taylor Hawkins fan and I'm surprised I've never noticed this. Fun fact, Billie and Taylor we're both born February 17th, 1972

And we also don’t know exactly when these sessions took place. When those teasers were posted on TikTok, those videos looked way too overproduced to simply be TikTok videos recorded on the spot. As I said before, I think we’re also getting a Making of 1972 documentary!!! Makes sense because of the TikTok video where Mike got Billie that classic car for his birthday

Yes but also keep in mind it doesn’t mean he didn’t produce those fall sessions we just don’t have photographic evidence that he was there then. It’s possible they recorded the six tracks first in October, then realized what they had and called Rob in and they reworked it together in the Spring.

Had a dream that I was about to go to bed when I got a message from someone claiming to be Billie saying something about the GD Christmas ornaments I made. I wrote it off as a joke and went to bed. When I woke up (in the dream), I had a bunch of notifications and messages from multiple people about this. I noticed two of the ornaments I had sent were on my nightstand and covered in flour, so I couldn't see which ones they were. I didn't have time to figure any of this out because a cord in the wall started sparking so I had to deal with that first before everything caught on fire.

Working on narrowing down pics for next year's calendar, and this pic popped up just as Blood, Sex, and Booze came on. That's all.

The American Eulogy line is controversial among fans due to the belief some people have that it isn't justified for a slur to be said by a person it hasn't been used against whatever the context. The same thing doesn't apply to Holiday. Billie Joe is openly bisexual and the f word is his to reclaim. So it's a different thing. In general it isn't considered a problem for members of an oppressed group to reclaim slurs that are used against them, including in song lyrics. If we're talking about people totally misinterpreting the song and not understanding that the line isn't literal then that's another thing. Shouldn't be a reason to censor it since half the lyrics could be misinterpreted if they were taken literally (eg "sieg heil!").

How has this thread been so quiet! Has nobody seen the new Oakland Coffee posts or am I the only one who thinks Billie looks amazing!? I know we aren’t seeing a lot of his hair but blimey he looks good!

They will then re-re-record it with Butch Vig and market this as a trilogy of albums
