  2. He was in London with them at one point, but I believe it was just the second round of RAK studio sessions

  4. Absolutely possible, BUT by the context clues he was involved post Billie’s birthday, and completely possible they reworked or re recorded

  5. Yes but also keep in mind it doesn’t mean he didn’t produce those fall sessions we just don’t have photographic evidence that he was there then. It’s possible they recorded the six tracks first in October, then realized what they had and called Rob in and they reworked it together in the Spring.

  6. That isn't on topic, but I guess neither is saying that it isn't, haha 😆 I really think there should be one featured artist on 1972. The B-52s could do a fun song with Tre Cool. And a diss track aimed at the Network would be good fit as well. But I think our ideas on here are what is holding the band back from releasing it. Billie keeps seeing these A+ ideas and adding them to the album. He thought we would run out of ideas by January, but oh boy is he wrong. We could keep this thread going until 2030.

  8. google "cliff richard silver album " and you will see an album cover where he looks like Mike Dirnt. I expect no pay for this service. I am merely a messenger. Goodbye.

  9. I don't think we will get any news today. They're probably all busy getting in on the Black Friday sales. Not me though. I'm more of a Cyber Monday guy. I shop online so I can vooo-ooote, at the speed of life.

  10. And we also don’t know exactly when these sessions took place. When those teasers were posted on TikTok, those videos looked way too overproduced to simply be TikTok videos recorded on the spot. As I said before, I think we’re also getting a Making of 1972 documentary!!! Makes sense because of the TikTok video where Mike got Billie that classic car for his birthday

  11. Had a dream that I was about to go to bed when I got a message from someone claiming to be Billie saying something about the GD Christmas ornaments I made. I wrote it off as a joke and went to bed. When I woke up (in the dream), I had a bunch of notifications and messages from multiple people about this. I noticed two of the ornaments I had sent were on my nightstand and covered in flour, so I couldn't see which ones they were. I didn't have time to figure any of this out because a cord in the wall started sparking so I had to deal with that first before everything caught on fire.

  17. I strongly believe that song lyrics should never be changed. They are just words and only hold as much power as people are willing to give them. Some songs should be lost to history and probably forgotten, sure... but only ones that come from a place of hatred or actual malicious intent. No Green Day song even comes remotely close to this, in fact any of the songs with "controversial lines" that the band has written have only come from a place of positivity and desire for betterment. In short, don't make a big deal out of words, especially those that come from a place of positive intent. If people are too ignorant to be able to tell what the lines actually mean, then it's no ones fault but their own and no band should ever have to change anything about them to cater to those people.
