x2!! Please guys, let's keep the discussion about real 1972 stuff. It's really annoying to read tons of non-sense information.7 points

I’d love to see The Struts do it. Their guitar player Adam is a huge Green Day fan and was at the last Coverups show3 points

His haunted appearance is still my favorite. My friend and I would watch it every day at school. The Ponies.... they'll kill ya2 points

Yes! And they could do something to reference the writing credit thing to show there is no bad blood. Either perform together on the respective songs that sound alike, or both of them cover the other bands song. I was blown away by those guys with the Foo Fighters in 2017. On topic of 1972, this promotion stinks. Teasing is great, but after this long It's just annoying. It hasn't been that long since FOAM so they didn't need to start teasing so early. And now that I think of it, this makes it all seem like another jab at FOAM. Like they are pretending their last album was in 2016 so we needed teasers in 2021, 2022 and 2023. If Rev Rad was the last thing we got, dang. That would mean an 8 year gap between albums.2 points

Can't wait for new demo version on Nimrod 25th, along with all others on Jan 27. Only 67 days to go. 🙄2 points

But don't forget what they posted on TIkTok last week "WTF WHAT a year ⚡️❤️🔥🥰 seeing you all at festivals, in between working recording our record in London & LA, doing a HELLA MEGA European tour playing the US East Coast, Chicago and Florida, San Francisco, shows in Brazil and Argentina. Playing Singapore to Austin Texas to Los Angeles charity show with Billy Idol, Jon Fogerty and The Who." I really think a formal 1972 announcement is coming soon, but how much time will they need to promote the Nimrod re-release?2 points

Guys, can we please stick to the discussion? Any other made-up BS should be posted somewhere else in this forum. (As I asked before).2 points

Had a dream that GD was performing at the church near where I grew up. It was weird in that people could come and go whenever they wanted and walk up to the front whenever, no problem. Kevin was hugging Billie from behind at one point. After the show ended, I was waiting by one of the doors, and Jason, Jason F, Bill, and Chris walked past me (with Chris saying something about tying my shoelaces). I went to the other door, and Tre and Mike exited. I said something to Mike about wishing they'd come to Chicago more often, but that they probably wouldn't be back for awhile, to which he responded "hell yeah!" (Odd reaction). I waited across the street since the only two to not have come out were Billie and Kevin, but got bored and left. Exciting ending, I know.2 points

I don't know who will, but these would be my choices: Viagra Boys Highly Suspect Alex Cameron (kind of an odd fit, but it could work) Unwritten Law are a fellow California band that probably have tons of Green Day fans in their crowd. and that new album is a banger with a freaking well done Fleetwood Mac cover. I'd love for them to use Against Me! again but I guess it depends a little tiny bit on what kind of show Green Day is putting on, but I think we know pretty much what they will play. I'm trying to be realistic (despite myself) and say that Green Day could play 4 or 5 new songs. I'm looking at the stats for the Rev Rad tour, and they played four songs a good bit. The 3 singles and "Ordinary World" That would be fine for the next record. Certainly better than FOAM got.1 point

An old man telling the story of his wild youth in Suburbia perhaps? Man, I wish there was an American Idiot movie.1 point

Mike does look out of place but I'm all for these unexpected crossovers1 point

For purely selfish reasons I would love it if they did a tour with Creeper.1 point

Maybe the band could actually do something interesting and this thread wouldn’t be so full of nonsense. The past year has been shit and promoting coffee but not much else. Don’t bother teasing new music if it leads to nothing for this long. The fan base has been leaving for many reasons and the bands and managements lack of engagement is not helping.1 point

Ah, the real 1972 stuff. This thread could be cut down to 4 pages. I'm thinking 1972 won't be a smash hit, but everyone that hears it will recognize that it's a strong effort and has good songs. They'll hopefully represent the album with a few songs in the concert mix. 4 singles and then onto that glorious Album 15 thread.1 point

I third this. Once in a while is funny but nearly every post on this thread the past couple weeks is non-sense.1 point

We've had this posted here before, I was hoping you had the complete song. All that's out there is this fragment.1 point

I agree, Tre was a big fan of late 80s/early 90s gangsta rap (he's mentioned it plus all the lyrics of Like a Rat Does Cheese are taken from gangsta rap songs lol), it's overdue!1 point

Maybe this is why he's let his hair go gray. 🧐1 point

I hope it’s more acting. I guess it’s possible it could be movie music or script writing but I really want to see him act some more. He seemed really into it for a while and then it just stopped. I was hoping for that Young and the Restless cameo 😄 Wish it wasn’t with Lee Kirk though. Billie was great but the film was just meh.1 point
