  2. I think we can presume that will sound like AI Teasers is almost always referencing songs of AI... even the studio they was recording.

  3. From what we've heard so far is it safe to say 1972 is going to sound just like American idiot? I wonder how it'll deviate (besides modern BJA voice.)

  8. Maybe Green Day will satiate us with the Dirty Polka Christmas album so the fanbase doesn't freak out while waiting on 1972. Tis the season. Also, I bet Tre and Mike sang a lot on that one.

  9. Christmas ornaments count as fan art, right? I made these for GD friends (and kept a couple for myself ). One bonus bookmark too.

  11. How many songs fit in an attic? Okay, dude is on the case. I'll figure out the average attic size, the average Green Day song size and we'll finally have an exact number! I bet Coffee and Repent, Songs For A-Holes, Cigerettes and Valentines and even a Christmas Polka album or three are up right now, smoking a fatty and chillin'.

  13. I liked him on Haunted. I liked the character he was playing and the set definitely matched him. It was a perfect fit. Agreed. I never saw all of like sunday like rain but the trailer was enough to put me off. Ordinary World was definitely better. Itā€™s funny to see Billie working and living an ordinary life. He always seems a bit stumped when interviewers ask what he would have ended up doing if the band didnt make it

  14. Very interesting article about 21st Century Breakdown and the process of how Butch Vig and Green Day got together. Butch Vig even says that he heard about 70 songs before recording the album! https://www.mixonline.com/recording/music-green-day-366107

  15. To be fair in the main, itā€™s concern for his health and well-being but as @Sheenius said, there are correlations between weight and health and performance and I think itā€™s fair to say we want Billie Joe well and performing well for a long time, we also know Billie has had some issues in the past so we worry. Having said all that, he is 50 which I know is old to some of you but itā€™s not like heā€™s 70! More issues do appear as you get older but 50 is not old. Anyway, weā€™ll possibly get a row for talking about this so Iā€™ll stop.

  16. It seems this thread always has to have something to talk about, despite there being zero information for months. I can't take any more drug-fueled track lists.

  17. Why are we talking about someoneā€™s body and weight in 2022 pls itā€™s irrelevant

  18. He said at the Coverups show that he wasnā€™t drinking any beer. I think that contributes to his ups and downs to a large extent. On the wagon again.

  19. IN REMEMBRANCE 50 years ago today, November 16, 1972, Jason Andrew Relva was born. He became a childhood friend of Mike Dirnt. Sadly, he died following injuries he sustained in a car accident on April 18, 1992. He was 19 years old. Mike wrote the song entitled J. A. R. in remembrance of him. In the song, Mike is talking about his friend who is now gone and about what it makes him feel. Heā€™s saying that this death made him face the fact that heā€™s mortal and his life could end any second. Mike is saying that heā€™s living life just like his friend did, but now his friend is gone and maybe he didnā€™t give all that he could, but itā€™s too late now. My friend drove off the other day, now heā€™s gone and all they say Is ā€œyou got to live cause life goes onā€¦ā€ But now I see Iā€™m mortal too, I canā€™t live my life like you Got to live it up while life goes on And I think itā€™s all right That I do what I like ā€˜Cause thatā€™s the way I want to live Itā€™s how I give, and Iā€™m still givinā€™ā€¦ And now I wonder ā€˜bout my friend, if he gave all he could give ā€˜Cause he lived his life like I live mine If you could see inside my head, then youā€™d start to understand The things I value in my heart And I think itā€™s all right That I do what I like ā€˜Cause thatā€™s the way I want to live Itā€™s how I give, and Iā€™m still givinā€™ā€¦ You know that I know that Youā€™re watchinā€™ me! And I think itā€™s all right That I do what I like ā€˜Cause thatā€™s the way I want to live Itā€™s how I give, and Iā€™m still givinā€™ā€¦ Got to make a plan, got to do whatā€™s right Canā€™t run around in circles if you wanna build a life But I donā€™t want to make a plan for a day far away While Iā€™m young and while Iā€™m able, all I want to do isā€¦ R.I.P. It was first heard as an acoustic demo later that year. The song appeared again on the Dookie demos in 1993 at Art of Ears and Dancing Dog studios. It later featured on the soundtrack to the movie Angus in 1995 and released as 7ā€ single. It featured on the greatest hits collection International Superhits 2001, and the live album Awesome as Fuck 2011.

  21. Cool! I greatly enjoy watching Billie act whether it's good or bad . But I think the best acting he's done (besides the AI musical which was on stage + singing so more in his usual lane) was in Ordinary World. I thought the film itself wasn't great but the acting including Billie's was good. So hoping something comes from this.
