It seems this thread always has to have something to talk about, despite there being zero information for months. I can't take any more drug-fueled track lists.7 points

Why are we talking about someoneās body and weight in 2022 pls itās irrelevant2 points

He also got reeeeally skinny for FOA - donāt think thereās a correlation between weight loss and good music other than wanting to look good for promo stuff2 points

Iām really interested to see if Green Day go into a new direction with 1972, though I hope they take some inspiration from this masterpiece2 points

Ranking every song is a challenge I might accept while procrastinating (and it's a fun idea so you should make a thread for it!), but for now: Homecoming Letterbomb (the only reason this isn't #1 is because I've overplayed it) Whatsername Jesus of Suburbia She's a Rebel Are We the Waiting Give Me Novacaine Wake Me Up When September Ends American Idiot St. Jimmy Boulevard of Broken Dreams (would be higher if I hadn't heard it 3243490090435845 times) Holiday (would also be much higher if I hadn't heard it 3243490090435845 times) Extraordinary Girl2 points

Wow, really fancy getting one of the bundles but sheesh, shipping is as much as the bundle! Maybe I should offer to take on Uk distribution š2 points

Well just saying...but...Last June, in an episode of ''Office Ladies: The Podcast'' with Angler Kinsley and Jenna Fischer, Lee Kirk was hosted, and he revealed that he was working on a new project with Armstrong, but did not provide further details. Surely that project has something to do with these photos2 points

Listening to American Idiot today and noticed something for the first time. In Nobody Likes You, the word "go" is echoed. and then in Whatshername, the word "go" is also echoed. Have I just made the coolest discovery of all time or what? Should this be turned into a 90 minute YouTube video? November 20th. I'll sit here until then. And I want the fictional songs in there as well. Every fake tracklisting, every joke-song Tre cool has muttered to himself while buying ugli fruit at Trader Joes. That song Mike is humming in the shower right now. I actually do plan on trying it, but they do have an excessive amount of music, lol. Maybe studio albums, but gosh darn Shenanigans is better than most of their discography. and some of the live cuts are better than the studio versions. Green Day really make everything difficult.1 point

You're probably right. GD wrote about 45 songs for 21cb. I think they had about the same amount during the AI era. It may be something we never ever hear. if so we all just got played for an entire year @GDFan2019 care to comment?1 point

A biased view with the '90 Green Day being so special to me, maybe a retro album with updated '90 GD sound. A single video with these kids playing as you say earlier version of band, song overdubbed by GD?1 point

Oh that's interesting! Yeah, probably a big part of his shape. But anyway, the most important thing is that he feels well and healthy. And btw: I love this hair style, hopefully that's his look for the 1972 promo š1 point

He said at the Coverups show that he wasnāt drinking any beer. I think that contributes to his ups and downs to a large extent. On the wagon again.1 point

Wow, did Billie just lose so much weight in a few weeks? Maybe they're getting ready for shooting promotion pics now1 point
-
if Green Day releases anything near or even on my bday (April 10th), I will be so annoying and will never shut up about it. EDIT: HOLY SHIT JUST SAW THOSE PHOTOS. all of the kids look a little like Billie and Tre (sorry Mike) when they were younger. I'm guessing it's for a music video and not an actual movie or tv series. I'm hyped either way.1 point

It would be cool to have a long music video like JoS for 1972 reminiscing their life.1 point
-
Wait is it?? At first I assumed it was just a music video but Lee Kirk wrote/directed Ordinary World1 point

It could be, but itās been in the works for a long time so maybe an extended or elaborate one1 point

It should pick up right where Meet Me On The Roof left off. Father of All era, REACTIVATE!!!1 point

Just by looking at the three of them I was hoping the same thing considering they donāt bear any resemblance. Maybe they play a fictional band and Green Day are writing original music for them and play cameos? Like their own Monkees? Billie did something similar for These Paper Bullets thatād be cool1 point

That was before The Network album came out and I assumed thatās what he was secretly referring to1 point

1972 should reveal that St. Jimmy was catfished by Amanda, putting a different spin on the whole Idiot story. She wasn't as authentic as he thought. Maybe he was the authentic one after all. Now he's traveled through time with the help of The Network and he's landed in 1972 South Carolina where he plans on tearing up the town with positivity. But a stranger in the shadows might just ruin all of space and time forever now.1 point

I wouldn't read too much into it. These are all investments so at some point you've milked enough out of it that you move on to something else or choose that the hassle is no longer worth it. I can imagine Rudy's Cant Fail was a hassle to handle during all the covid shut downs. I'm a bit more surprised at Billie departing from Broken Guitars but who knows what kind of challenges are faced there. When you're in their position and things start to feel like a job they have the ability to be able to escape it. Financial freedom is awesome. Also they run Oakland Coffee currently. Like Elvis movies! I think OW was such a treat for fangirls and if he wants to do that again, Iām not complaining1 point

How about a Trilogy movie, complete with bmw's and a tattoo of a pig sniffing glue?! DJ's getting attacked, Billie meeting a girl named Lady Cobra as he rides through his old haunts. and perhaps the most interesting part of the trilogy, that loud, loud dress. WOW.1 point

Billie in that movie was adorable and great in every moment š I think with a good script and a good director he would have had a chance to succeed as an actor.1 point
