  1. Their new TikTok mentions how busy they have been with recording shows, we just need to be patient.

  3. This thread is going absolutely nowhere. Green Day haven't posted anything about 1972 in like 2 months and yet this thread is still alive.

  4. It's funny you mention this, I recently got an email at greenday.fm from an old man that said "I was looking at the attached photo, which I took aboard the train from Melbourne to Sydney, in the 90s. The dude in the attached photo, sat next to me and asked if I had heard of 'Green Day' and I said yes and then he said he was part of that band. How cool. I can only say that you, Mike, have become even more cool as the years have gone by." The attached photo of "Mike Dirnt"

  7. I think this might be the first time they addressed the new album directly instead of a cryptic studio teaser. Not sure why they didn't put the #1972 hashtag in this latest Tiktok though

  9. What if Billie is replaced with former Smash Mouth singer, Steve Harwell? Oh and over time Tre and Mike leave as well. Travis Barker takes over drums AND bass for a time before getting Lil Wayne's bass player. Green Day will become a combination of Rap, Smash Mouth and +44. I'd give it a chance.

  14. Had a dream that GD was performing at the church near where I grew up. It was weird in that people could come and go whenever they wanted and walk up to the front whenever, no problem. Kevin was hugging Billie from behind at one point. After the show ended, I was waiting by one of the doors, and Jason, Jason F, Bill, and Chris walked past me (with Chris saying something about tying my shoelaces). I went to the other door, and Tre and Mike exited. I said something to Mike about wishing they'd come to Chicago more often, but that they probably wouldn't be back for awhile, to which he responded "hell yeah!" (Odd reaction). I waited across the street since the only two to not have come out were Billie and Kevin, but got bored and left. Exciting ending, I know.

  16. Just finished the writing stage of my deep dive on Jason White video, and learned a lot during researching. On his podcast interview, he was asked if he had any say on his level of involvement with Green Day, because the interviewer had been a touring guitarist for his friends Portugal The Man, and they were hesitant to hire friends full time because so many friends hadn't worked out. I loved Jason's response to this. He said he's not the best guitar player Green Day could get. He was asked to do it because he WAS such good friends with Billie, and that he has grown closer with the other guys over the years. And as for being "the fourth", he said he never really was an official member. It's always gonna be Billie, Mike, Tre. That the trilogy simply required more of a live recording style than the other records, and he allowed the recording to go faster. What a cool cat. Possibly smoother than Dirnty himself.

  17. The cover is going to be an anime picture of the Kerplunk girl flying through the air with a molotov cocktail in hand and a heart-grenade falling from her pocket. I think.
