I quit dyeing mine when I was in my mid forties and I never looked back. I always did it myself but it was a pleasure to be rid of the chore, the cost and the chemicals. It felt punk to quit, like I was giving the middle finger to the societal pressure and just being more myself. I’m lucky that I have dark curls like Billie’s and my hair is also a nice salt and pepper blend. I was surprised to find that after I went natural I started getting loads of compliments and people asking me if I color it that way. I support his decision to stop with the coloring. It feels like freedom.

Well she is part of the expanded Green Day family cause she‘s married to a band member and is closer to the band. But yeah, I don‘t agree with her and it‘s sad because they all seemed like a big family a few years ago. Hopefully for the upcoming tour we get the chance for a coverup show or something in europe

I wondered about that too. I hope not, I think the black is too harsh and is what brought out the complaints about how he looked last promo, if he’s not going his iconic black why not just leave it natural, it will look far better to me. More to speculate about!

It’s the worst. Not that other drugs are a breeze to get off of, but benzos have long lasting withdrawal and often cause permanent damage.

I support his decision also. It's more a reflection on myself I guess. You're lucky you're hair is salt and pepper and looks natural. Mine is blonde/light brown and with the grey coming in heavier these days, it makes me look so washed out. Fortunately, my stylist is a genius and with the technique she uses to color my hair, I only have to do it every 6 months or so.

I thought the same thing! I read a review of the book, it was horrifying but explained a lot. Addiction follows very predictable patterns, even with the people around you. It said everyone just left him to it until it got to the point where it was threatening others’ livelihoods, then they stepped in. That’s a lot like how iHeart went down. It also made me realize that the only time Billie really did maintain a healthy weight was during those five years he was clean and sober.

Fan girl confession...I'm having a hard time with the hair. I mean I think he looks gorgeous either way 😍 but the grey hair is just not sitting well with me right now. I'm sure I'll get used to it should he decide to keep it but I prefer his hair darker. Perhaps it's because I recently let mine grow out quite a bit and needless to say, I am going back to the hairdresser stat! 😂 I am in denial I guess!

I'm kinda thinking we won't receive any teasers until we get closer to a release, so probably nothing until next year.

I can’t imagine how much money these people had to donate to get to see all these acts in someone’s backyard. 🤑🤑🤑 Remember when Billie said they wanted to play in someone’s backyard a few years back? Turns out you need to be ultra rich. It’s for a teen cancer charity so I’m not going to rip on it too hard but it sure is a different life for the 1%. And Green Day plays very different backyards these days. But I hope they raised lots of money. Kevin posted photos of himself with Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey. I wonder if Billie got to ask Roger if he remembers meeting him naked in a steam room? 😂

One benefit of pure grey, when he gets there is he can easily add a little color here and there like green, blue, purple, pink. I think he looks fabulous. I told pacejunkie punk, I have a thing for good looking men with a full head of grey hair.

I would love to hear them cover a Queen song like Crazy Little Thing Called Love. I think that would be a fun one for them to do. its shocking to me that they haven’t done a Queen cover given that Green Day opens with Bo Rhap and covered We are the champions back in the day.
