Sorry for your loss ❤️ As others have said I don't think you took the wrong approach. It's okay to see this person you're a major fan of and not being sure what to do. I'm sure you'll get another chance but I'm the meantime try to put a positive spin on it. You saw Billie walking through the airport. That's pretty awesome! Something that most fans don't get to experience and that in itself is a moment to cherish even if you didn't go up to him.5 points

There are just too many coincidences for both of these things to be untrue!4 points

Omg is that eyeliner I see??? 😱 I think it's safe to say our eyeliner initiative worked from afar! Good job everyone 👏4 points

I'm thinking it'll be a 1972 tour. I'm sure they enjoyed Hella Mega, but they might be itching to do a good ol classic Green Day show soon.3 points

There will be 91 more pages of this nonsense before the album drops. Dudemath strikes again! Fine print: This is only accurate if the new album drops in early May, prices and participation may vary. See Mike Dirnt for details. Dude not responsible for anything that occurs anywhere ever.3 points

Ever used an SSL? This reminds me there was an old Gearspace thread on the engineering and production of 21CB where Chris Dugan answered a bunch of questions about mics, preamps etc. I think it might be time to revive that when we finally get this record. Still so excited to hear Green Day with proper production again. It's not a good idea to get hopes up after the last record but I'm genuinely thinking we're getting something close to 21CB in quality here; the longer they make me wait the higher my expectations get, let's hope it doesn't all come crashing down again3 points

I feel like the previous 2 were rushed. Rev Rad imo wasn't cohesive. The middle of the album is a bit weak for me personally. They just self produced and went in with all their ideas, recorded them and then got it mixed and mastered. With Billie's issues at the time it seems like they went into creating the album in an environment where they handled Billie with kid gloves. On previous records they really analyzed the songs, made different versions and demos and really put some thought into how it would be presented on the record. They had real discussions about where it was going musically. Foamf is probably their most rushed record. The duration shows it. Ok guys here's your 10 songs get out of our faces now and buy your HM tickets!!!2 points

Also I don't think we're getting any info on 1972 any time soon. Probably nothing except maybe a small teaser until after Nimrod anniversary edition2 points

Okay guys, now that they played their last show of the year, how long before we get any new 1972 information, teasers, etc.? We're just weeks away from the holiday season, and they'll most definitely be taking a much needed break for that.2 points

This thread is for discussion of Warning, both the album as a whole and all the individual songs as well. Green Day's best album, in my humble opinion.1 point

It might feel like a bit of a letdown now but let's give them time to actually work on this. I don't want the rushed albums we got over the last decade or so. This will be unpopular but I don't even care if they keep working on this, get the best songs out and release everything in 2024. I just want it to be good and something they can be proud of and we can be proud of. Why not compromise and just have amphitheaters?1 point

It’ll need the discounted car insurance when it can’t be on Billie’s health insurance anymore next year.1 point
-
Nah it'll be similar to RevRad tour except maybe less new songs. I still think they will play new songs though1 point

They will release the new album after they play the Hella Mega setlist 1972 times.1 point

Cool to see Ed get a pic with Tre when he's such a big GD fan 😊1 point

To avoid any further confusion, Stuck With Me will now be called Castaway and Castaway will be called American Idiot. Nimrod's car insurance goes down because it turned 25? WOW, that's cringe.1 point

Idk where you got your information. I know him personally and he told me his solo thing will be called „dirntl“ and promoshoot took place at the Münchener Oktoberfest with mike in a „dirndl“ thats why he thought it‘s a good idea to call it „dirntl“1 point

Maybe he’s leaving the grey more but I think it must be the light in the ones above, looks a lot darker in some other pics. https://www.instagram.com/p/CkCOp0TtQUT/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Looks darker in all the ones @Rumpelstiltskin2000 posted on the thread for the show.1 point

the most horrifying thing Green Day has ever done with their career is allow those uncanny valley early 2000s CGI balloons in their 'Minority' music video. Mike's and Billie's don't even look like them.1 point

I can wait for 1972, Billie already said probably next year, let’s not rush them, we can enjoy the Nimrod goodies in the meantime.1 point

God Billie looked good last night, I like the short hair on him, always have ❤️❤️1 point

Watching this video (again) tonight and wishing Billie would play some Trilogy songs...Brutal Love is one of my favorites from the Trilogy...especially this version. The emotion here is palpable especially from Billie but also from Mike and Tre. 🥺 Anyone else agree? ❤️1 point

I think when everybody is complaining about it being underrated, they talk about the general public, not us Green Day fans, cuz we know how brilliant it is! Blood, Sex and Booze and Jackass are my favorites at the moment. But lately Castaway has started to really get on my nerves... idk, maybe I just listened to it too much. And yeah, that 'glitch' in Church on Sunday used to annoy the hell out of me.1 point
-
I never thought that was a glitch either, it's just how the song goes. for contrast or something, idk. It's funny how everyone always says this album is underrated, yet it's the one that gets the least "I don't like this album very much"-'s out of all of them. (or at the vast majority of the people say "this is underrated, but I love it!")1 point

This is my favorite Green Day album, if not my favorite album ever. It's the only one where I can listen to it front to back and love every single song. Fashion Victim, Waiting, and Minority are my personal favorites1 point
