I don’t want Green Day on my Oakland Coffee merch.4 points

Hey Sheen, can I interest you in buying Oakland Coffee? @Sheenius3 points

This is going very off the rails. Can we stop the extremely off topic discussion (or whatever this is)? Live look at @Sheenius:3 points

This bundle is fucking amazing but holy shit it's expensive https://oaklandcoffee.com/products/the-kerplunk-collection-complete-bundle?_pos=2&_sid=8d3dc55bd&_ss=r2 points

I was on YouTube last night looking for 1972 teasers. I haven't been so up to date on all updates so I just wanted to see some clips that I may have missed. I hit this YouTube video in the search results and who pops up? That Dude! All I can say is That Dude is the equivalent of being rick rolled 1000X2 points

I’ll take it but that and Scattered are the two they pull out pretty regularly, and NGFL was a single so it’s hardly even a deep track. What I wouldn’t give for a real surprise, like The Grouch or Worry Rock2 points

I don’t think so. You can see the recording software in the reflection on the window here when it cuts to Billie talking about the arrangement2 points

Don't remember seeing this pic of Mike before https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj5WsNaOWkf/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=2 points

I guess I’m in the minority- this is my favorite bundle yet 💕1 point

They probably just assigned that song with the name Do Da Da quickly before they released it as a B-side to Brain Stew/Jaded and couldn't think of anything else to call it. If you look at the lyrics, there isn't really any other name you could really assign to the song other than Stuck With Me that would sound like it fits with the song1 point

Since tomorrow is the last show of the year, I could see Billie ending the show with a major hint about 1972, in the same way he ended the Asbury Park, NJ show when he said, "It's going to be a long time until next summer!!!"1 point

These prices are ridiculous for what is essentially free brand advertisement. $70 for a grey pullover hoodie? That’s more than the Nimrod merch was.1 point

One of those tracks is called Swordfish and the video features a cameo from Halle Berry's b00bs.1 point

Article about good riddance being written for dookie and not used til ni.rod but no mention of it appearing on an insomniac single. Wtf1 point
-
I think we’re more likely to get an extra Nimrod song that’s about all I’m expecting. Now that they have something else to promote, they won’t mention 19721 point

I have a hard time figuring how they’d forbid that. The email from the event I got earlier today had instructions on how to find the concert venue within the complex so I’m sure they’re expecting it to some degree1 point

Not exactly Green Day related but Aston Martin have arrived for the race and posted some nice pics of the city https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj5lXr_rjzn/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= You can see the Circuit of the Americas from this video in their Instagram story (and the stage area towards the middle)1 point

They changed the name I guess. Kinda sucks that they did that. Should have remained as DUI.1 point

I don't like the modern (Broadway) versión of when it's time, but i love that 1992 live one with Mike harmonies... Hope this nimrod demo it's Closer to the second one. Lot of expectation with that and knowledge live with horns You lied, do da da and rotting are from insomniac sessions Tre polka and DUI Will be the same song1 point

On my copy of the CD single they wrongly spell it as Cristy Road. And instead of live at Jannus landing, it's spelt Jannuf. Hay what if it's just my copy, it could be worth millions 🤪1 point

I didn’t realize how soon this was, I hope everyone here going has fun I wonder if they’ll play you irritate me?1 point

I've always said Insomniac is my favorite GD record and possibly my favorite record of all time. It's miles better than Dookie imo.1 point

It also doesn’t really matter. Whether places give credit or not doesn’t mean much legally. Either accounts have permission to post the photos or they don’t. that said, the problem I have with it is that all fandoms on the Internet thrive on sharing everything they can about a musician or celebrity. That’s been the culture online since the internet was founded. the way I see it, Green Day (or any musician/celebrity) hire photographers to take thier photo for publicity. Magazines hire photographers to take photos of these musicians for publicity of their publication. Photographers deserve to be paid for their work. And their wishes should be respected. But for overzealous law firms to go after fan bases for money just because they can is really shitty and it hurts the very people these fan accounts are promoting. There needs to be some nuance and understanding. The fact that people can go after and delete small communities is harmful. Copyright law hasn’t kept up with the speed and changes to the way people use the internet and it should be more fair for everyone. Not just the companies who have found a way to monetize what I’d consider legal harassment.1 point

When I think of Green Day, I think of this album. The energy and attitude of Insomniac sums up in essence what the band represents to me. It just kicks ass!1 point
