  1. What was a joke for stupid people is now true.

  2. I wonder if any of our local radio stations will play this. Okay, so You Irritate Me is out now, and the new Nimrod anniversary set comes out on January 27th. Call me crazy, but 27 is 72 backwards, so, along with Nimrod, I think we may get the announcement for 1972 on that day as well!!!!!!!!

  3. Definitely PG — listen to Walking Catastrophe it’s almost the same song. I love the new outtake more each time I hear it. I just blasted it from my Bose speaker and then played Nimrod front to back. Nimrod and Warning have always been two of my favorites but I have to say Nimrod is my favorite GD album. It has everything I love about Green Day — it’s angry, punk, melodic, vulnerable, honest, heartfelt, funny, sad, full of wordplay, musically diverse (almost to the point of being show offs), and GR is some George Martin level production on Rob’s part to add just enough strings and the right balance to transform that diss track into an eternal prom song that will last forever. Eleanor Rigby level of genius. I can’t say enough about how great this album is. Yeah they went on to doing even bigger things but while those records stayed in one lane musically, Nimrod encapsulates everything Green Day is, was and can be.

  4. I think it gives the release more longevity, they can put out singles before Jan. and create hype for next album and tour. Instead of releasing everything in October and wait 3-4 months til we hear from GD again.

  5. I miss the 90's, back then everyone thought Rest was the worst Green Day song

  6. Can't wait for 2029 with the release of American Idiot 25th Anniversary Deluxe. C&V in his entirety will be revealed.

  7. Surprised they didn't do this for Dookie.

  8. You Irritate Me is pretty straightforward. I don't love it or hate it, but it made me remember how much I miss the simplicity and attitude of this GD era.

  9. I'm cool about the whole thing. Except one thing and one thing only. Why the hell didn't they do a box set for insomniac that was CD like they're doing for Nimrod. I would gladly given my money for that just like im giving for the nimrod set on CD. Not all of us like to deal with vinyl records. Just my two cents.

  10. Its definitely going to happen at some point. There were actually so many great songs written at the time too. Would love to hear a better version of Things I Heard Today. its a great time for them to open the vault, the significance of their new music is low. If songs from c&v and this nimrod demo thing end up having impact its a great way to refresh their setlist live. It definitely works too, we’ve seen them bring some unreleased songs into the setlist and have huge impact. When its time is an example. I remember that was a big thing when they added it

  13. Should be purchasing a headlight fixture for my car. Pre-ordered the vinyl instead 🤷‍♂️

  14. I think they just didn't have enough material (I'm just guessing). If you think about Outtakes that were not in Shenanigans, they just had the Original Version of Good Riddance, some radio mixes or radio edits. And there were some demos from Dookie Sessions (Don't wanna fall in Love, J.A.R.), etc. However, to be fair with what you said... THEY SHOULD RELEASED THE WHOLE PRAGUE SHOW, not just the Insomniac tracks on CD and/or DVD/BluRay.

  16. I was hoping for some tranny rock this time around. Against Me has some good songs. Haushinka's Inferno will be on 1972

  17. Just the pre-order up with release date 27/1/23. Only You Irritate Me available to stream/buy. Not impossible they may release other tracks in the lead up to the full release like they did with the BBC Sessions.

  22. I thought the rumours yesterday were mad, thought we’d get coloured vinyl and maybe a couple demos or early live performances but the reality is just amazing! Can’t wait to get my mitts on it all. Mike is right, their attic must be stuffed to the roof!

  23. CO-SIGN!!!! Yeah when you mention that, there isn't a lot for insomniac when it comes to demos. I have the singles set and that's evident. Even still, dag nabit I want a remastered of Insomniac on CD!!!!!

  24. I thought silver was a strange choice at first (yellow seemed the go-to) until I remembered that the traditional gift for a 25th anniversary is silver.

  27. 1972 better be good though. I don’t care if they’re older now. You don’t have to sacrifice your integrity because you’re old. A song like pollyana doesnt give me much hope though. Straight granny rock

  31. Old Nimrod era interview from Bikini magazine. Funny to read this now. There's some opinions in here that did not age well ("I don't think anyone wants to see big rock shows anymore. It's a passing phase.") https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1PNqX4aOIK6vhFCSHG4bUSfx6w1Q2RsYT?usp=sharing

  36. Anyone else having problems pre-ordering this from the official European Green Day store? I get to the last page, but when I hit "buy now", nothing happens. Neither PayPal nor credit card works. EDIT: It worked now, thank God. Pre-ordered the CD bundle, can't wait!
