They're going to release the double album cause they found the master tapes for the second half It was supposed to be called Nimrods and Valentines

Hoping we get Allison along with this. We know the song is out there, they just need to release it!

Well after going back to read Todd’s piece I want all the tracks! Could Billie have redone the vocals on 19th Nervous Breakdown, I bet that would be a great cover and I can just imagine them doing a version of the Tony The Tiger song 😂😂. Maybe the real 1972 was the Nimrod Deluxe Edition we got along the way.

I’m really curious about this one. We have three versions by GD so far - the early 92 live version with all the beautiful harmonies, the 2004 acoustic version from HLAHG, and the full band heavily produced album version from the AI musical soundtrack. Is this demo going to sound like any of those or something different altogether? I love this song so much.

Looks like some sort of announcement is coming Friday. Yesterday they posted this on Instagram Then someone on Reddit then posted this suggesting we might get the Demo of You Irritate Me tomorrow (also Friday) as a single. I’m certainly intrigued. The Insomniac 25th was great but I wanna hear more stuff from the vaults that we haven’t heard yet.

Seriously dude, what's your issue with Haushinka? Like, it's not my favourite GD song ever but it seems like such a random Green Day song to hate on when it's pretty well written and well performed, at least compared to other Green Day songs. There isn't really anything hateable about the song

At least DUI has been leaked in high quality, so at least we have that already out there

My guess is they will drop the single song digitally and announce the release date of the re-issue and begin taking pre-orders with a huge merch drop. Expect special vinyls, CDs, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. to be available tomorrow with a Janury ship date.

Looks like I know what I'll be spending my money on. Nimrod might be my second favorite GD album. I didn't expect them to do much for the anniversary but it seems like they are going above and beyond my expectations.

Considering 1972 is a metalcore album, let's just say he's been practicing.

Would there be any reason for the band to be working on stuff in studio for anything related to Nimrod anniversary edition? Cause if they were, that might explain why they seem to have been in the studio for a longer time for 1972. Like, are these demo(s) likely to be untouched from 1997 or would they have had to change anything to actually make it/them listenable

If we get the double album version of nimrod. (or even just the tracks and maybe a proposed tracklist), I can die happy. These are some of my most wanted 'lost tracks' of any band
