Look at both of @Sanity Loan posts from page 223 and your conclusion should be that we're not getting a single until 2023. Like this is getting a bit ridiculous tbh. Everyone, including the band, says "2023" and you're stuck on "Guys, I think something should be coming any day now". Just don't expect anything until 2023. If we do get a single or announcement before then, then that's a bonus. But it's not going to happen. Let the band release it when they're ready. FOAMF was a commercial and critical failure. I think the band wants 1972 to be remembered more fondly so I honestly don't mind if we don't get anything for another 6 months if that's what they need or want

Very likely. These things have to be planned out very far in advance. With Billie saying “Can’t do this again until next summer” or whatever it was at that show, planning is 100% already happening. But again… 2023.

What really pissed me off at the time, was the critics who think they know everything about music, when in fact they know fuck all. They all jumped on the bandwagon, shaking their heads, spewing out the usual shit about Green Day's continue decline. It they had opened their ears, sat down and actually listened to the music, they would have realised this was the next step, a progression, and enjoyed one awesome fuckin album. And we all know what studio album followed Warning.

Okay, yes, it's just wishful thinking on my part. Realistically, I could see a single in February, the album in April, and the tour starting in May.

I hope so!!! But the question is, how long will this silence last? I know Billie said, and @Sanity Loan reiterated that the album will be out in 2023. But who's to say we won't get a single before then? I could easily see them performing the single at the Game Awards or New Year's Eve!

Yes, but I dont think any announcement and single will happen this year. If an announcement is in January and a single that same day, I think a Feb release would be too soon. I'm think an April/May release at the earliest

Okay guys, now we have 1 show left, the F1 show in Texas on the 21st and that's it for this year!!! I think between now and then, we'll get maybe 1 or 2 more teasers, then an announcement on November 1st, a single on November 10th, and the album in February 2023!!
