Guys, it's definitely not gonna be a double or triple album. They're never going to do that again. I'd honestly be shocked if we got an album that surpasses 1 hour of length ever again3 points

I think the ‘teases’ should never be assumed to be teases in the first place, but more of a ‘we’re doing stuff and it’s fun and exciting’ kind of thing, plans change and things develop differently all the time, so it’s not like they (probably) planned to be teasing for this long, it’s just ended up this way. It’s cool to get an insight into what they’re up to cause the alternative would be nothing at all and that’s boring too. i feel like this we might get some rumblings of something soon though.3 points

Hello, so I was looking to get a Green Day sleeve, but I don’t want “normal” “popular” art. I want the deep cuts. Kind of like the monkey on the ball with the one star for example. I want something that only us DEEP fans know. So I’m looking for some ideas and I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much in advanced guys!! The more images I have the more I have to work with.2 points

Yes. 16, One of my lies, Basketcase, 86, Worry Rock, Deadbeat Holiday, Give Me Novacaine, Last Night on Earth, Loss of Control, Stray Heart, Little Boy Named Train, Still Breathing and Sugar Youth are all total ballads. that is a really strong mix right there though. Not the greatest, but really strong.2 points

Prior to the release of Warning, in an interview with the band members, Billie Joe said he was too close to it to comment. However, Tre and Mike gave a very informative guide as to what to expect listening to the album. Apologies for any offence caused. First Tre: "The listener can definitely expect multiple audio orgasms and to cum out of their ear-holes, " enthused Tre. "You won't need Viagra when Warning hits the stands, man." "What we need to do is work out what this record smells like, what it's scent is," Mike helpfully suggested. "Then we can put it out in a scratch 'n' sniff sleeve. So what type of funk does this record portray?" "A wet dog?" asked Tre expectantly. "Yeah," said Mike. "A wet dog. It's funky but it's kinda cuddly. And it's got a puppy breath thing going on." "But not a dog that's just licked it's nuts, right?" says Tre. "Right. That's exactly it." answers Mike. And there yer go. Warning to a tee?2 points

Who knows, maybe a 1972 song would be part of the Mario soundtrack, the movie is set to be released on April 7, 2023, and I could see a single at least being out by then1 point

I smashed my head on a block so I can't really figure it out I fly alone with these turtle shells screaming "woo-hoo" at these shy guys like they were never there EVERYBODY GO CRAZY....I mean, help me finish this Forever Mario song, because I give up now.1 point

Okay, hear me out. I just watched The Super Marios Bros. movie trailer, and I think this would be a much better fit for Green Day's audience than Hockey. Green Day's 1972 should be the soundtrack to the mario movie. Billie will play mario within the album concept. Mike will play princess peach and Tre will play King Bowser Koopa. Jason White will play Donkey Kong. Chris Dugan's going to play St. Jimmy who is playing himself playing another Mario character. It's going to be very whacky. and filthy. Green Day's going to make Mario rated R and stupid good.1 point

12-14 tracks, and they even managed to fit 18 tracks into 49 minutes on Nimrod1 point

This. I expect a high quality album of average run time (40-50 minutes at most)1 point

I hope it’s not just marketing. This is the worst marketing if that’s the case. This is actually frustrating as a fan. It feels really lazy and disconnected which is not how it used to be with this band and the fan base. They have been teasing since at least December 2021. The teases weren’t even that detailed or much of anything. Two years of teases that lead nowhere is really frustrating. If this is released as a well done long (maybe even a double or triple) album with an actual behind the scenes making of the record documentary like if this is as interesting and exciting as the songs and the process of the Trilogy all will feel like it was worth the speculation and the long wait. I hope it’s as great as the process of the Trilogy and as much of a shakeup for the band as American Idiot. New and exciting but not a rushed sloppy caricature of what the band thinks is new and exciting (like FOAM). Maybe some elements of what made the Longshot so great injected back into Green Day.1 point

In that one magazine interview, Billie said it's coming out in 2023, and I found it odd that they started teasing as soon as December 2021, and by doing that, they implied that release is much much sooner than that. I mean, we didn't even officially know about FOAM until the day before the single came out. We only knew for months that they were in the studio because of Butch Walker's video. I really think they're putting a lot of work into 1972, whether it be grandiose production, a double album, or maybe even a triple album done right!!! We already saw CLA in that one teaser in the summer, so obviously they were already in the mixing stage by then. So if everything is finished, why would they put it off until next year?1 point

Is there any place that has old magazines scans like GDA used to have? Specifically looking for trilogy era Visions Magazine, but generally I just hope scan archives aren’t lost forever1 point
-
I know, right? The last one was back on August 15th and we got none in September, I'm guessing because of all those festivals they played throughout the month. They have a little break now before the F1 show in Austin, Texas on the 21st and that's also their last show of the year.1 point

Billie and Serj have both inadvertently written songs that will haunt them forever. If I ever run into Serj, I'm going to stand out by screaming about banana banana banana Terra cotta pie. Terra cotta pie. Is there a perfect way to hold your baby? https://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.revolvermag.com%2Fmusic%2Fsystem-down-fans-wont-stop-scaring-serj-tankian-yelling-wake&h=AT1Z1ZIrvj6gbD4eDpTxEsBnMuHKsGIJuhguagfRbvrdLOM0KYmL6FwVxhgVcAzpRHUfHRc01NRGXF2jmcsK4apDirbRuPgRZUduX8iXTNIPkP5FVDp3XV8d1_rsanmnFWgj1 point

Can't be bothered to search for the old post, but I wrote something silly like this about 100 pages ago. Back when we were talking about them being at RAK: 1 - A 9 - I 7 - G 2 - B American Idiot: Great Britain1 point

You guys think Billie's still on his "I hate long songs" phase for 1972?1 point

Well I’m sure everyone had a great time, but that was a long way to for a very short concert after it was cut!1 point
