230 pages of the same thing over and over again. I mean how can you almost have 1000 post and still don't bring anything interesting 😂7 points

Sugar Youth would sound so good live and it's barely two minutes. Surely they can manage that?7 points

I've always said the exact same thing. Just GD shows have longer setlist's. People did then point out to me that GD are getting older and are 'slowing down', so I guess we'll have to wait and see. (I personally don't like to hear this and stick my fingers in my ears and go 'la la la')! 🤣🙉5 points

*Forever Now plays faintly in the distance* I don’t know man, I don’t know.4 points

Yeah realistically I don't think they would bother when they believe the audience wouldn't know it or love it. They want to promote new songs or play crowd pleasers.4 points

Few more pics from Green Day on Facebook and Twitter and a couple from NME Asia https://www.instagram.com/p/CjP7gUEtdta/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=3 points

I'm definitely expecting a change for the 1972 tour. For all of their previous albums besides FOAMF, they played a majority of songs from their album for the following tour and FOAMF was only excluded because it didn't have its own tour. The Hella Mega Tour wasn't a "Father of All tour". I'm very confident that they will play 1972 songs live for their next tour. And I'm still confident that FOAMF will make an appearance on the tour in some way. Whether that be them just playing one song once or twice, having one song be played regularly on the tour, having multiple songs show up etc.2 points

You are correct. They always play their Top Ten on Spotify. I'm surprised Longview has kind of fallen out of their top 10, but it's still in their top 20 for sure.1 point

I hate to he that person but most likely they won’t bother to relearn anything from FOAM even though I want them to1 point
-
I noticed the FOAM title track actually sounded better live when they performed it at the 2019 Game Awards1 point
-
I just saw them last week and it was just them. They played the same setlist1 point

I could't get it at the time, even emailed their customer services and they told me there was no expectation of making it available outside the US. Got it from @Beyza I think.1 point

It really surprised me at the time how limited some of these things are and I was really only thinking about getting hold of it in English at the time! Surely a company like Amazon should be better at getting transcriptions and translations of this stuff down by now. Did you find a transcription?1 point

If it’s just them on the 1972 tour, their setlist can be longer, since they won’t need room for Weezer and Fall Out Boy. Before Hella Mega, weren’t their sets like closer to 2 hours long?1 point

No problem Listening to Billie's audible book was difficult for me, so I just remembered finding it while looking for articles that quoted the content 😅 I wish they would release the text version worldwide, even without the songs...1 point

I would be surprised to hear any FOAM songs. The trilogy was dropped from the RevRad tour onwards so I expect that to be the same with FOAM. They don't seem to want to make many adjustments to their standard set, so at most I would expect 3 - 5 new songs, maybe 1 or 2 from RevRad and the rest the Hella Mega setlist.1 point

Oh so it’s just an interview from last April back when the Audible Original came out? Damn, old news. I thought he did a new podcast. Thanks for finding this, it’s a decent interview overall1 point

I wonder? I wonder if they want everyone to come for the race then just wait for the show bc now I'm nervous about my ticket lol and don't wanna not be let back in ok so mine are different in Ticket Master too vs my phone wallet. On TM mine say "standing room only concert upgrade"1 point

Stab You in the Heart too. I’m surprised they didn’t at least add Graffitia to the setlist. After all, Billie performed it live on TV for that virtual pandemic live from home thing. Also, did Weezer play any Van Weezer songs on the tour, or just their greatest hits as well?1 point
-
Yeah I pointed out recently that they probably knew they weren't going to get to play a lot of these songs live because of Hella Mega tour so they just decided to make whatever they wanted, regardless of whether it would work live or not1 point
-
When they go on tour for 1972, I hope it’s a huge 1972 Tour and not Hella Mega 21 point
-
For half of the tour, they didn’t even include songs from Rev Rad as well. I know Still Breathing was played for the first leg, but part of me believes that was added given the pandemic and all. I’ve never looked, but I’m almost positive that all the songs in their set list right now are all the top played songs on Spotify1 point

I was lead to believe there was a whole other album ready to go by the time FOAM released. This could have been The Network as @pacejunkie punk pointed out.1 point

I've not listened to that album but it seems to have been received well by critics and fans according to metacritic https://www.metacritic.com/music/the-end-so-far/slipknot (at least compared to FOAMF) And how do you determine that they put low effort into the album Regardless, I'd lose respect for any band who puts less effort into an album or just deliberately makes your album bad just to piss off their label. When fans are waiting years between albums, it just suggests that you don't care about your fans. I don't think Green Day did that with FOAMF. I think they just wanted to make an album like that and that they liked it. There isn't any reason to claim that's what they did either. Everyone's just said that because they don't like FOAMF and want to believe that Green Day wouldn't make an album they don't like unless they were trying to make a bad album1 point

@Sanity Loan has basically said that we're not getting the album or a single until 2023. Just read his last few posts on this thread and that's what you should get out of them At most, we might get an announcement in December and the single in January. There's no reason to expect anything sooner than that I don't want there to be a long gap between first single and album like there was for FOAM anyway. So if a single release in 2023 means that the gap is less than 3 months, then good1 point

I don’t think it’s for any deep reason other than the fact that they like the band, like the song and it’s a big stadium rock anthem that’s easy and fun to play and sing along to.1 point

Had a dream that I saw a commercial for some reality show Tre and Sara were doing. It was their summer vacation, their time on a boat, something like that. I was thinking, "Yeah, I'm probably not going to watch tha... Wait, there's Kevin. Fine, I'll watch. But there's no way Billie will be on... Okay, he's on it too. Yeah, I'm in."1 point
