According to my very real and legitimate and not made up at all inside sources, every time @GDFan2019tries to make a prediction, Green Day pushes the release back little by little. Trust me, my source is that I made it up and that is as good a reason to believe as any other.7 points

It'll probably be released December 2nd because that's the 25th anniversary of Good Riddance single release. Or December 11th which would be the 22nd anniversary of the Warning single. Or October 19 because that's the 13th anniversary of East Jesus Nowhere's single. Or October 15th because that's the 10th anniversary of Stray Heart6 points

But maybe - MAYBE - a single could release November 2 because that's the anniversary of the day I made eye contact with Billie and he bolted across the street without looking both ways5 points

I seriously doubt Billie would ever like to celebrate something about those darker times. I clearly remember when ¡UNO! was released, Billie was in rehab. It was a weird time for releasing a record. Personally, I felt ¡UNO! (at its release) like it was a "posthomous GD/Billie's Work". Mixed feelings for the band, for Billie, and of course... the fans.5 points

It's not unrealistic, he does look nostalgic in that teaser. I get the feeling Billie's written a lot more songs about his dad than he's let on. I also have an inkling he was working on WMUWSE as far back as 17, from the line 'seven years have gone so fast'. What with mentioning his dad twice on Revolution Radio in two songs, Billie seems to be more comfortable referencing his dad. So if the album is about looking back I could see there being a song about the guy. The guy was a drummer, so he definitely had a huge influence on Billie learning music.4 points

I thought it was a weird request coming from them as well, but maybe it's to "take care" of their voices? idk On another note, Jason White posted they're on their way to catch the plane. They're coming!3 points

It was Rio, 2010, during JoS. Let's remember this moment:3 points

Wasn’t it in Rio Billie ripped his shirt off…. Too much to hope for a flash of skin this weekend?3 points

I love your ability to just pull this shit out of your ass Yeah I get it. This album is probably closer to the AI type of sound than FOAMF but how do you get "This song is about Billie's dad and turning back time" from "sad sounding song"2 points

I’m so conflicted about this because obviously I’m happy to see him shirtless, but it’s clear he wasn’t in a good place at the moment and probably otherwise wouldn’t do it2 points

G1 (Brazilian news website) interviewed the person responsible for the backstage of Rock in Rio and all the artists' requests. According to her, Green Day asked that no one smokes near the band or the crew. She also mentioned that Green Day and Coldplay bring their own chefs, so the festival prepared a kitchen for them. Here is the article, but it's in Portuguese.2 points

Green day is green day with it’s Own music, genre, no matter if they Play punk, pop, rock, garage or whatever genre they Play you always find this little thing that make you say « hey! This is their sound » so who cares about what genre they are at some point ?2 points

Judging by the somber sound and the way the top clip is playing in reverse, I feel like this song will be about Billie's dad and turning back time. And OMG I can't wait to hear it!!!!2 points

I wish everybody would stop referring to GD as a heritage act. No they are not. They are still making and recording new music. OK so FOAM might not be my personal favourite GD album, but I still think it has some good songs on it. Every band has highs and lows, and everyone has an opinion and a different take on the music output, but just to say GD are a heritage act because of the last record (or even because of 'The Triliolgy' is stupid). Maybe not everything has gone to plan with the release of the last few records, (BJ's rehab stint etc) and Covid disrupting record promotion and touring, but that doesn't mean that the band is not proud of it's music or doesn't care anymore. GD have always changed their sound or tried new things on records, they do not just regurgitate the same thing all the time. Sometimes things work better than others, but they try. Yes it would be nice if GD sometimes mixed up setlists a bit more and played a few more surprising songs, but they have to try to please a lot of people who make up a crowd, who might only know the most popular songs. They want everybody to have a good time at the shows, and I suppose they think by playing the hits, they are pleasing the majority. They will never be able to pick a setlist that will please everybody 100%. OK rant over!2 points

Maybe they’ve all stopped and can’t stand anyone round them smoking?1 point

Totally agree. It's just pure & vulnerable, the songs, his voice, everything. They all play to their absolute peak on Nimrod too, in my opinion. It's truly flawless.1 point

When you think about it, other than the Rev Rad period, was there ever really a good time for him when he was in a good place? Pre-Dookie was pretty happy, there were no pressures then. But from Dookie onward, there was drama after drama until 2012. 2013 was still hard for him, then the personal drama of the band taking a break. He talks about being depressed during the time he wrote FOAM, so really, I'd say he was in his best place from 2016-2018 and that was about it.1 point

Lucky fans. He obviously wasn’t using IEMs then either which is one of the reasons he couldn’t do that today. He’s all wired up through his shirt.1 point

Today is the 10th anniversary of the Let Yourself Go single!!! And the 25th will be the 10th anniversary of ¡UNO!, so if they don’t do anything special for it then, do you think we’ll get some 1972 news?1 point

I know this one is postponed but for another time it's probably cheaper to fly from Milan to London (or Dublin) and then fly on to Los Angeles. Takes a bit longer but worth it. Flights for this weekend were particularly bad because it's Labor Day Weekend in the US Sure hope it's not a bad case of covid and whoever it is gets well soon1 point
