  1. It's not GD related but Jake is back out on tour a year after his accident. Brilliant news

  4. I wish everybody would stop referring to GD as a heritage act. No they are not. They are still making and recording new music. OK so FOAM might not be my personal favourite GD album, but I still think it has some good songs on it. Every band has highs and lows, and everyone has an opinion and a different take on the music output, but just to say GD are a heritage act because of the last record (or even because of 'The Triliolgy' is stupid). Maybe not everything has gone to plan with the release of the last few records, (BJ's rehab stint etc) and Covid disrupting record promotion and touring, but that doesn't mean that the band is not proud of it's music or doesn't care anymore. GD have always changed their sound or tried new things on records, they do not just regurgitate the same thing all the time. Sometimes things work better than others, but they try. Yes it would be nice if GD sometimes mixed up setlists a bit more and played a few more surprising songs, but they have to try to please a lot of people who make up a crowd, who might only know the most popular songs. They want everybody to have a good time at the shows, and I suppose they think by playing the hits, they are pleasing the majority. They will never be able to pick a setlist that will please everybody 100%. OK rant over!

  5. Thank you! I was very lucky to see GD on the RevRad tour and so got to hear them play 'Scattered'. Just need them to start playing 'The Grouch' now!😉

  10. Hopefully one day you'll at least get to hear Scattered as they've been playing that a bit more often lately (notably on the RevRad Tour)

  11. I mean, what other songs are even worth playing?!

  12. What about Money Money 2020? You should make a Green Day cover band but only perform FOAM songs

  13. I think the only reason they did that was because of the tour. All 3 bands released their singles at the same time. Even Weezer, who weren't even planning on dropping their album until way later than the other bands.

  15. No past events should ever be a baseline for the future. We're speculating because we're bored and have nothing else to go on. There is nothing, other than Billie saying 2023 (which I can confirm), to base this speculation on. That could mean January, but it could also mean December. We have no idea and what the band did for FOAM, RevRad, or Dookie has no bearing on what is going to be done for this next album. Marketing music these days is very different when compared to late 2019/early 2020, 2016, 2012, and 1994. Green Day's popularity and the lens in which people view them through is also very different. They're now more of a legacy act than a heart-throbbing punk rock group that is blasted all over Top 40 radio and Hot Topic and Claire's stores. When they want us to know something, they will make it incredibly clear. Until then, I think we should all go outside.

  16. I'm so shocked that it wasn't about Green Day. GDFan has never been wrong about this stuff before. Ever

  17. Wow! I was waiting for "and then we made fake red wristbands that brought us backstage with the bands and got in a limo with lot of booze and woke up in the same bed as Billie in a unknown hotel room."

  19. It doesn’t surprise me they continue to play the hits. It’s expected of all bands/artists, especially from the casual fans who don’t go to every tour. But, like Miko noted, it’s the songs they continue to play that weren’t hits that’s unusual (St Jimmy, King for a Day, Waiting and to a lesser extent Brain Stew and Hitchin a Ride). These could be switched each night or at least each tour for other songs in their catalogue which would please the bigger fans and probably make no difference to the casual fans.

  20. I will never give up hope for TTMAC. I hope Billie at least plays it with one of his side projects some day. And bring back Bang Bang. Was really surprised they dropped that one. Would replace KYE quite nicely.
