Hey guys what's up? I don't know if you already heard of Hella Tiny Tour. It a project we started to let Green Day knows we'd LOVE to have some European deep cut/club shows. We started a petition that you can sign here: https://tinyurl.com/5y5wwtmm Since we appeared on BJ's stories twice we wanna take this to another level, and for that we need your help with the Hella Tiny Tour Video Project: What you need to do: - Make a sign with your favorite deep cut song written on it. - Take a picture or video (5 sec max) of yourself while holding the sign. - Be sure it is in portrait and not landscape (vertically!) - Shoot in front of your country’s flag, a well known monument, building or local venue or anything you want. Be creative! - Send your picture/video on Instagram DM or send it to hellatinytour@gmail.com - Deadline: When we are getting close to receiving enough photo’s and video’s we’ll give you guys a heads up on this page and let you know how many days there are left to participate! We will collect all the photo’s and video’s, make a video out of it and share it on our social media accounts. Let’s go!! *If don't wanna show your face it's ok to show just the paper sign; ** If you can't go in some landscape or famous buildings it's ok your home or where you prefer We'd be happy if you would take part in the project!6 points

Did you ask about new music in a general sense, or new GREEN DAY music? if you asked the former, then there’s a 0% chance its about anything Green Day.6 points

Tell me when it's time to release more teasers All we want is GDC to understand that when we show clips of the band it's cause we want to4 points
-
https://www.greendayauthority.com/news/5278/ When radio stations don't give details and tease it as "huge, huge announcement," I don't even pay attention because it is likely overhype to get people to listen during their advertising prime time.3 points

I wonder if that's because streaming wasn't such a "thing" when 21CB was released?3 points

How does this convince you? They've been posting nothing but old interviews recently, so this is just a continuation of that. I'm pretty sure this is from Turn It Around. I can't remember if it made the final cut, so it could be some extra footage.3 points

I'm so shocked that it wasn't about Green Day. GDFan has never been wrong about this stuff before. Ever2 points

Were we suppose to be excited over what GDFan told us this afternoon?2 points

They announced it was the Smashing Pumpkins.....someone please get @GDFan2019 a 6 pick of apathy.2 points

We are all born in a world of doubt, and there’s no doubt that 1972 will be huge!!!2 points

I wish they do a Coverups or Longshot shows in Europe2 points

I think that‘s because 21CB was released before streaming got to powerful, and I mean this album is more than 10 years old. Compare the sold units of these two album and you will see a massive difference2 points

The WMUWSE jokes are coming. Please remember it's only jokes. We know it's about his father. And no he didn't locked himself in his room and screamed to his mother ''Wake me up when september ends''2 points

In Cuatro, I'm sure that Billie said 'Nimrod. Lyrical nightmare'. He mentioned taking the songs into the studio & having to write the lyrics in the studio. Anyway, personally i think the lyrics in Nimrod are his best work, by a longshot (no pun intended). We know he chops & changes his mind quite a lot too, i'm sure on another day he'll tell you how proud he is of the lyrics on that record. Guitar sounds, tones, bass & drum sounds, all sound perfect on this album. I love how clear the hats are from Tre. The songs really drive along because of this. Last Ride In is so perfect too, such a chill vibe.2 points

I have thought this for a while. This record is flawless and it’s the start of Green Day really branching out and being brave with new sounds and styles. This record is why they’ve not just ended up as another 90’s punk rock band & instead a true rock and roll juggernaut that has rightly been inducted into the RnR hall of fame. Even the ‘deeper cuts’ are easily some of their best work, Haushinka, Jinx, All The Time, Worry Rock, Uptight, The Grouch, Scattered, Prosthetic Head, Redundant, Take Back, Reject, Platypus… I could go on and on. I feel like this record goes under the radar, people will always look to American Idiot and Dookie as their best bodies of work - both are incredible in their own way but Nimrod, damn, it covers everything that we love about these guys. It’s also them being daring and showing how great they are as musicians… These guys didn’t need Warped Tour or to hang out with all the Fat Wreck bands, instead they’ve cemented themselves in rock and roll royalty and history & this record epitomises that. I don’t know what more to say other than that this record is their true Magnum Opus.1 point

Even Muse are doing 7 club shows in a month and they are a big band. 3 US shows, 3 European, 1 Canadian. GD did it for 21stCB, It can be possible! Maybe a 1972 promotion club tour. If we get their attention is cool. Let’s try, at least it’s funny ahah :) If you wanna take part you’re welcome!1 point

This could be totally unrelated to Green Day but my local Alternative station, ALT 92.3 New York just posted in their Instagram story that a huge, huge announcement is coming up at 5 today. So I sent them a DM, asking if it was regarding new music and they replied, "Sort of.....;)!"1 point

Maybe they can do a few smaller shows beside Arena Shows or like they did with 21st Century Breakdown Promo Tour where they played a few Club shows in Europe1 point

I don’t think Tre is all that funny anymore. Back in the day when he was just a young punk, I think his wild behavior and dirty jokes and weird faces were funny because it fit that character. He’s now an old man, a DAD, and it seems like his jokes are much more forced now. i could go without ever seeing him make a goofy side eye look again during an interview after making some sexual joke.1 point

It's Mike's interview from the Turn it Around: East Bay Punk doc they put out back in 2017.1 point

Hope he's right but be aware that Billie's mom attended a lot of shows in those early years (and still does). You can hear her yelling out at the Cybelle's Pizza gig in 1991 (apparently Tre worked there) that's on You Tube for example. It could still easily be any other early show. But if it's something not already out there that would be great.1 point
-
Behind the scenes.... Of how Billie, Mike and Tre have grown tired of Rock N Roll and will be trading properties with the K Pop group to try and reinvigorate each brand?1 point
-
It’s also one of my favorite tours to watch. Full of variety and songs we don’t hear anymore, Billie’s starting to become a performer and engage the audience more and it’s the last time they tour as just a trio.1 point

My theory/speculation is that 1972 is the title of a documentary AND of the lead single for a new album. Doc and single in late 2022, record in early 2023.1 point

It's so easy, download music to PC then on to moby (cell) and save to cloud. All your music at your fingertips wherever you may be. But, for some reason I decided to buy the CD version of BBC sessions. What would I have missed if I'd downloaded? One awesome insert by Steve Lamacq detailing each session, and some very surprising and hilarious antics that took place. Now a very important historical record of the band., as part of my treasured possessions.1 point

I am incapable of rating stuff but I adore Nimrod, listen to it as a whole album on a regular basis, it’s a brilliant album.1 point

I made a playlist of every song connected to Green Day or side project in any way. Billie Joe has the best taste in music of all time, and I have compiled it for all to enjoy1 point

@The Grohl Agree with you completely. The band even said during promo that they're always progressing, but sometimes they have to progress sideways lol. Here's the exciting thing about FOAM - even if the record doesn't work for you, it proves that they have creative gas left in the tank. They are still doing experimenting creatively and trying new things that excite them! If we got Rev Rad part two that would have been a creative death rattle. And they could do that so damn easily. So this is a good sign, because if they're still growing and changing, eventually they'll put out an awesome album that you love.1 point

The bolded part reminded me the times when WARNING was released... so many people hated that record. However, I enjoyed it almost the whole record. Time went by, and now tracks I considered bad/meh like "Misery" or "Hold On" are underrated GD gems. Maybe, and I just say maybe, this could happen to FOAM. Nowadays it has happened to the Trilogy, too.1 point
-
I know that most people think FOAM is mostly trash that can be thrown away but I'm very comfortable saying I think it is a genuinely good record. I enjoyed it when it was released and I still do. Is it my favorite? Probably not. I do however think it is overhated and I'm not afraid to say I like things that I find genuine joy in. Hyped for the new album & i hope that it hits me on an emotional level. Green Day are at their best when their music and lyrics hit home. I will say that something like RR definitely hit harder on an emotional level than FOAM did and I hope they can keep up that sort of magic we all know they are capable of capturing. i still get chills listening to Forever Now.1 point

Agreed. Regardless of any of the band member's ages, if they're going to call the album 1972 and it's going to be released when they want it to be released, then it's going to be called 1972 and it'll release when they want it released. I don't see what or why them apparently needing to be 50 at the time of release has to do with anything. If they want it to be a celebration of being 50, then they can simply say that the majority of the album was written and recorded while they were 50 and it's still a celebration of it.1 point

The real unpopular opinion is to love Christian's Inferno. I'm not sure why people like to pretend their popular opinions are unpopular.1 point
