I was at the show last night—I made my way up to the stage when Porno for Pyros had about 15 minutes left of their set. So about 1 hour, 15 minutes before Green Day went on. I got a decent spot not too far from the front on Mike’s side. I was maybe 20 or so feet from the front. While standing in the crowd for that hour waiting for Green Day to start, my Apple Watch buzzed three different times in a span of 30 minutes saying I had a high heart rate. Ya think?! I was anxious as heck. Haha. When Green Day finally came out, it took me about 5 songs in to calm down and be able to enjoy myself lol but holy it was a great time! So glad I went and got to experience that. Idk why the quality is so bad when I uploaded it but this is an idea of what my view looked like:

Watched this again last night. Great show. Funny thing I noticed was Billie’s expression as soon as JOS ended and he turned away from the crowd. It was this huge wide eyed exhale of relief 😮‍💨

I'm assuming we won't get content until after Outside Lands this weekend.

Obviously even the prospect of small shows where they play deep cuts is really exciting but I would worry they could turn into "shitfests" like some of the Longshot shows did (and after what happened last week that more people will just start lining up without tickets hoping to be let in)

I like how he didn’t bother about signing the funko’s and knowing that they would flip the price on ebay a whole lot more than possibly the vinyls, good billie! I love his sarcasm

Still, there are some smaller club shows in the US every once in a while (I admit mainly in the SF/Bay Area). It'd be great to have the opportunity to travel to one of these shows without being completely broke afterwards. Even if it's only London, within Europe you could fly there within 2-3 hours compared to 8 - 12 hours to get to the US. And just in general, more shows like the one in Chicago would just be great... no matter where!

Would have loved to been at this show!

Bro, I absolutely love your enthusiasm for the band but you're really setting yourself up for disappointment if you are expecting anything more than a standard record. You should probably lower your expectations just a little just to be safe. We don't all want it to come out ASAP. In fact I personally only want it to come out when it's ready and not a moment sooner. I have had enough mixed bag records from the band and I just want them to put out something that they have taken their time on and can be proud of. The last thing we need right now is yet another "the new!" album that not even the band remembers.

I watched the first livestream until it ended after One Of My Lies and it was awesome! I did notice Billie going to the second mic next to the drum set after each song and speaking into it. I guess that was one of those microphones that can only be heard by the other band members and is used to communicate. Which makes sense now, given the seemingly random and not according to the setlist songs they played tonight - that's awesome! They could keep their signature setlist for festivals (I mean it makes sense) and literally keep tonight's setlist for every other show they play. People would go nuts. Feels so fresh, almost out of place... in a good way. Edit: I wonder if they literally just tried some of the songs... I've heard about troubles with lyrics at certain points, maybe they didn't really rehearse these songs and just went for it. I'm pretty sure the fanbase wouldn't mind if this would become a regular thing with certain deep cuts lol.
