My dad, who has zero interest in music, loves 21 Guns. It's a song that's helped him get through his cancer treatments. I'll never forget driving him home after a particularly bad day of chemo and he was basically passed out in the backseat of my car. 21 Guns came up on my shuffle and he hoarsely asked me to, "Turn it up." Fast forward to last year and we got to enjoy this song together at Hella Mega in Detroit. ❤️

Hitchin A Ride. Good. This means I have a seven minute window to get the laundry while the crowd tries to meet Billie’s enthusiastic expectations.

As much as I wish they'd change up the setlist, every time I watch them that immediately fades away, even over a livestream. I could hear them play the same songs live over and over and it will never not be exciting and a fun time. They really are the greatest live band out there.

I missed talking with y'all about an event in real time, I hope they have a promo cycle for 1972 and we can do this again!

As expected, what a wonderful show. Absolutely love this band.

If anybody want to know the setlist

No matter how many times I watch them perform the same schtick over and over again, it just doesn't get old. We are all so lucky to exist at the same time as this band.

I’ve really enjoyed watching this tonight. Even with the same setlist. Thought they sounded great. Love this band so much!

I have it on good authority that they have to re-record tambourines, so we may not see it until 2024 at the very earliest. Tre' used the wrong color tambourine apparently and Billie is pissed.

Bro, I absolutely love your enthusiasm for the band but you're really setting yourself up for disappointment if you are expecting anything more than a standard record. You should probably lower your expectations just a little just to be safe. We don't all want it to come out ASAP. In fact I personally only want it to come out when it's ready and not a moment sooner. I have had enough mixed bag records from the band and I just want them to put out something that they have taken their time on and can be proud of. The last thing we need right now is yet another "the new!" album that not even the band remembers.

I skipped out on hella mega, but I really enjoyed watching this tonight and the live streams from Friday. It seems like they're in a really good spot right now and I'm glad they're recording an album in this state, I'm even more excited for 1972 now!

Gotta fangirl for a second because Billie took off the shirt onstage and you saw his tank!! 😍 I vote for that next show.

I know we like to complain about the set being "the hits", but just scrolling through Twitter and so many people are raving about the set.

Im glad they played the Metro show and Lolla, after reading reviews from the Metro show, and some posts on twitter (all very positive) I’m sure they will have more eyes on them for their next move (1972).

Yesss! And that's part of why Green Day shows are amazing. They're actually having a good time and you can see that on their faces. This isn't just another day of work for them. This is what they live for.

We also end up praising the songs as is (most of them at least) But then you realize that not everyone follows their shows as extensively as this forum does , and I like seeing everyone else enjoy it too.
