  1. Still boggles my mind that they never released a proper studio version of C&V

  2. Your enthusiasm knows no bounds. But I believe that if they do release the songs, they'll be on 1972 or a future album that's not C&V. The band has grown since then and they could re-work them. There are quite a number of songs that have been in the making for years, I imagine they sound a lot different than originally.

  3. I will gladly join that losers club then, because pineapple does not belong on pizza.

  4. You're goddamn right and you should say it. We cut Green Day a lot of slack, these are things they could easily incorporate. Yes, even at a stadium show. The casual audience will survive one or two deep cuts.

  5. Yeah, what happened to his free thinking, anything goes, liberal mindset 😂😂

  6. I still think that what happened is that they changed plans, because the first teasers, the ones that came with the tag #1972, seemed to indicate that something was coming soon, just on the latest that they seemed to be in studio working again. As I said before, to me what happened is that #1792 would have been the rumored EP, and now it turned into something big

  7. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the C&V sessions, so I wonder if we'll ever get to hear the recordings. Because Mike once admitted that even though the session tapes were stolen, they still have the backups. So if that's the case, we'll potentially get 2 new albums next year, 1972 and C&V!!!

  9. I think the remaining performances this year will follow almost exactly the same setlist we saw the entire tour. Have they ever debuted a brand new song at a festival/stadium show before? Any time I can think of them debuting new music, they were in smaller, more intimate shows.

  10. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRh6w86x/?k=1 #NewAlbum Album confirmed!!!! It’s not an EP!!!! Now I'm convinced it's coming really soon!!! The teasers only stopped because they were on tour, and now they're on a break before Lollapalooza

  12. It’s interesting to note that the hashtag is recording studio and not 1972

  13. They also still have the masters - would be very stupid for them to minimize the release of a new big album with a legacy scrap heap release though. That’s a fill in the gaps release

  14. Cigarettes and Valentines. Not sure if it was a stadium or arena though.

  15. I don't hear it, but you never know. I like the idea of making Dreamcatcher a massive, loud/quiet ballad with some rocking guitar work.

  16. The new songs seem like they would sound very good alongside a newly revamped Dreamcatcher. Us Idiot's would love it and I think the average music fan would too. Dreamcatcher as the lead single, let's go!

  19. I don't think every album has filler. But you know what's been really grinding my gears in 2022? Interludes. Interludes are bastards and I hate them all. Bad Religion are the only band to properly use the interlude. Also, albums that begin with an amplifier being plugged in noise. These two things are on every album this year and has to stop. Back to what you were saying though, hopefully Green Day will have enough momentum to reach a fifth single. Is it time for another Greatest Hits yet?

  20. If someone were to ask me to sum up Tré for them, I would show them this picture. The only thing missing is a tutu and a bra.
