I think people will complain no matter what their setlist is. Some people say they want songs from FOAM but I bet as soon as green day would play a song from it, some people would be like ew why are they playing a FOAM song. Basically green day can't win. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions of course, and I agree change ups are nice. But I'm satisfied with any setlist they choose8 points

That should actually be the other way around dude. People at the front are there to watch and have fun that way!7 points

No offence, but you're the sort of person I hate to be near in a crowd. Trying to ruin a show for other people sounds like no end of fun! Shesh! π6 points

I have a better list of fillers songs: Father of All⦠Fire, Ready, Aim Oh Yeah! Meet Me on the Roof I Was a Teenage Teenager Stab You in the Heart Sugar Youth Junkies on a High Take the Money and Crawl Graffitia4 points

I'm sorry i don't understand maybe I've misunderstood, but personally I can't imagine Green Day using fillers. Followed Green Day since 1989 and listened to every song to come out of Billie Joe's head, all have been awesome. Not one has been out of place. It's just insane to think of Billie Joe throwing a song in to an album just to make up the numbers, fuck that.3 points

I understand and accept some jostling and pushing to an extent in crowds. What I do not accept is deliberately shoving people around into pits, and making them miss the show, just 'because it's great fun to piss people off'. This. It is all about choice, like you say. If people want to go in the mosh pit fine, if people don't, also fine. EVERYONE should be able to enjoy a show they have paid to go and see, how they want too, as long as they are not spoiling it for other people. Sorry for off topic! Back on topic-I have to admit I've got a soft spot for AI Billie! The hair and guy liner! π3 points

"Green Day should stop playing their most successful album's singles because I've bored myself with watching tour videos on YouTube all day." Hot take.3 points

I really don't understand what's so bad about FOAM. You guys thought going around the world in 37 songs was too much but then think 10 songs is too little. Too late, and now I'm coming unglued! π Trilogy and FOAM RULE! St. JIMMY!2 points

I don't think every album has filler. But you know what's been really grinding my gears in 2022? Interludes. Interludes are bastards and I hate them all. Bad Religion are the only band to properly use the interlude. Also, albums that begin with an amplifier being plugged in noise. These two things are on every album this year and has to stop. Back to what you were saying though, hopefully Green Day will have enough momentum to reach a fifth single. Is it time for another Greatest Hits yet?2 points

Not a setlist. But just bring back 21st Century breakdown as the opening song please. Or play a snippet or the 2nd part of the song. Just play this song!2 points

I would loooooove it if they brought back some Trilogy and 21CB songs and threw in some FOAM. Take the Money and Crawl and MMOTR would be awesome live!2 points

Same! I would really want to see their high quality documentary footage.2 points

Every band uses fillers. Those would be songs that were pulled from the vault or other projects to complete an album. That's not the same as songs fans don't like or consider weak. Examples of fillers would be songs like Youngblood, Drama Queen, Ordinary World or Stab You In the Heart. RevRad had quite a few fillers actually because I think Billie only had a handful of new songs. Bouncing off The Wall was another one, as @That Dude pointed out.1 point

Green Day do a pretty darn good job at chopping off access fat. One peak into the Green Day Vault and I'm sure there's at LEAST a dozen records worth of really good songs that were cut from albums. If I HAD to point out some filler-esque tunes, I could do that. Songs that are good, but a bit thin or undercooked: Troublemaker Angel Blue Bouncing off the Wall Fire Read Aim Stab You in the Heart ..........................................................1 point

Oh no it's almost impossible to come back to the gate. That's why I'm not mushing at the start I wait for like St Jimmy or Minority.1 point

This absolutely. While I have joined in mosh pits I never try and push or pull in anyone not doing it and it's always been up the back where there's more space. Right by the barrier is not the place for it. Back on topic, what's everyone's favourite Billie look from over the years? I had a big thing for the 21cb look at the time but I actually love his look now. This is coming from someone who started crushing on him back in longview/basketcase times π1 point

I want them to change it up more so I can justify going to more shows goddamnit1 point

Actually is not that simple. most of us who complain about their set only complain because GD is a band full of great albuns that go way beyond the successful singles. We don't want them to stop playing any hit live, we just want them to do more with all the good songs they put out over the years. We want more songs on the set, and not that they remove Basket Case, idiot and JOS from it. Or at least, if they keep with this stage time, that they chenge a little bit from night to night1 point

I will never give up hope for TTMAC. I hope Billie at least plays it with one of his side projects some day. And bring back Bang Bang. Was really surprised they dropped that one. Would replace KYE quite nicely.1 point

So I know from his past insta stories that Tre Cool is a fan of children's author Mo Willems (he's been compared to Dr. Seuss). My friend is a huge fan of Mo Willems too so they made us watch an hour long cartoon special he made about Naked Mole Rats where they sing a bunch of hard rock and I really hope Tre Cool and his kid watch it, I think it's something he'd really like.1 point

You can't avoid that. Albums are always going to have filler along with 4 or 5 hit singles. But filler is really only a matter of one's opinion. What may be filler to one fan, may be another fan's favorite song.1 point
