  1. I just want 2004-2010 all over again đŸ€Ș

  2. I honestly worry if they put it out too early, they will burn themselves out. The tour has to have been exhausting, and they still have a ton of dates in Sept/Oct. To go from that straight into promotion for a new album and then another tour seems like a recipe for burnout.

  3. But they had a whole month of Asia dates scheduled for March that never happened as well as Aus/NZ for the Fall. The tour should have been much bigger. But Billie looked wiped after this month I agree another tour should probably happen after a bit of a break. But I always enjoy the TV/magazine promotion time that comes with a new album.

  4. I suppose they would want to release it next spring before another summer tour. At this point I don’t care about new music from them that much. It’s mainly about the touring now. Unless they go back to playing new songs, it doesn’t really matter when the new album is coming out, but I do want to see them again.

  5. It's too bad their Hockey deal didn't bring us more masterclass songs like Fire Ready Aim. It has come and gone.

  6. It's been "imminent" since January, then February, then march, etc etc. Who knows when that interview was conducted but he said it's not coming until 2023, they are actually being tangible with us for what feels like once in forever. We ought to believe it.

  7. Except for two sporting event F1 dates the bulk of the shows will be done by the end of September. If they announced the album in October, released a single and began selling preorders for the 2023 vinyl release they could take advantage of holiday sales maybe and hype singles through the end of the year

  8. I don't think we can compare this release cycle to others, mainly because they are still kinda touring. With performances sprinkled throughout the next few months, it doesn't really make sense for them to release anything new right now. I really don't see any new music coming from them until next year. Not even a single

  12. Same. I think they need a break between the tour and promotion of the next album. They’ve burned themselves out before and I wouldn’t want that to happen again
If they couldn’t handle it before, it’s probably not a good idea to try constant touring now when they’re getting older.

  13. Technically he's higher up the chain than I am but I may make him some unicorn cupcakes (yes I have fell into the trap of buying random unicorn themed stuff) 😂

  14. Brah he already confirmed it's coming 2023 I don't think we are getting any other than maybe a single around august. Maybe

  16. I think Billie’s gonna go quiet for 2-3 weeks now to recover from the tour as he often does. They have Lollapalooza at the end of July and then a show in San Fran August 6. Maybe after that and before the many September dates we might hear something. I’m thinking an official announcement or release won’t happen until October though.

  17. The same as their regular shows - around 90 minutes

  18. If they did another legacy tour they’d play one new song at the maximum like they did with Polyanna.

  19. maybe they release it in spring and do a proper tour in mid/late 2023 ? they should use peoples interest in them with hellamega to release sth now OR they should release sth new in 2023 to push ticketsales for another tour in 2023/24

  20. A master is usually the original WAV file of a recording.. it’s a much bigger and better sounding file (higher resolution) than if a mix was just exported as an MP3. Generally what you’d hear on a new CD would be master WAV files, and it would be rare for someone to have a the original master WAV of a song other than the artists themselves.

  21. But do we know when that interview was conducted? For all we know, maybe the release date plans weren't finalized at the time, and seeing how enthusiastic they have been in all the teasers, the teasers kinda imply the release is imminent

  22. At this point, I'm thinking maybe an August single and September/October for the album. Or if we're lucky, maybe a single this month? Because if you remember 10 years ago, Oh Love was announced on July 10th and released on July 16th!!!

  23. When you drop into conversation with the IT guy (who is also dj'ing at the work summer party) that you were at hella mega last week and at the party he plays pork and beans, this ain't a scene and then basketcase, holiday and the entirety of Jesus of suburbia just because you also mentioned that you were only actually going to the gigs for green day. There were some confused faces (i work at a law firm) đŸ€Ł

  25. Proud Green Day fan moment A few weeks ago my 13 year old was asking me over and over for a pair of Converse sneakers, so I passed down my high tops that went to sooooo many Green Day concerts with me. She proceeded to scrub off all the Sharpie'd on Green Day lyrics and shit that got written on them in the lines outside of various venues, but I get it.... beat up Converse ain't the aesthetic these days. Still brought a tear to my eye to watch her rock out of the house in them. Anyway, this weekend we were driving somewhere and she was browsing through my phone for music, put on Dookie, and then started analyzing the difference between "old Green Day" and "new Green Day" and idk it just brought me back to the good old days!!! She's very musically talented and so smart and it was really fun to listen to her analysis. Ever since she's been asking to go to a show and I told her if they tour anywhere near us at any point in the future I'll grab us some lawn seats and we'll rock out. Low key hoping this happens soon but I've totally lost track of the band and have no clue if a tour is anywhere near happening, ever

  26. That’s a classic hangover look but really very similar to these new ones we got 😄

  27. It’s the classic genre of pictures where there’s a fan looking all excited and Billie seemingly unsure who that person is and what exactly they want but he figures he should focus really hard on keeping his eyes open

  28. Nobody gets close to GD for me and you are are right about Billie! It’s the hooks too, and crunchy guitars.

  29. Yes! It's super cute! Especially with a little bit of hair sticking out of it over his forehead. 😍 He could just be really tired. They don't have the energy they used to to play crazy shows every night AND have some to spare. It's also the end of the tour and I'm sure they are all exhausted. I wouldn't worry about it too much. He seems to be doing well and I'm sure he'll take care of himself.

  30. Mastering is real quick. MIXING is very time consuming. A lot of people probably wouldn't even notice any difference in a song that's mixed vs a song that's both mixed and mastered.

  31. Genuinely -- please never stop with this optimism and good vibes all around, you're an absolute legend bringing so much spirit to this place I've been listening to some of the 21st Century Breakdown B Sides today, the Bob Dylan and Who covers, and wow I really need them to release a >5 minute song soon. Give me more Somewhere/Forever Now! 'Anywhere Now' 'Wherever Then'

  36. He did mention it! And during the last song, Time of you life, he included verses from 80, he suddenly swithched it to "I do not mind if this goes on, cause now it seems I'm too far gone, I must admit that I enjoy myself, 80 please keep taking me away", and it was beautiful! Them he said "this is the last show of the tour, <...>, we saved the best for last, <...> I don't know what else to tell you, umm, I love you?" And this is picture of me and a friend I gave spare ticket. https://ibb.co/LdCpCWr
