  1. My source tells me they are halfway done recording tambourines. So we can expect the album sometime late 2024.

  2. He did mention it! And during the last song, Time of you life, he included verses from 80, he suddenly swithched it to "I do not mind if this goes on, cause now it seems I'm too far gone, I must admit that I enjoy myself, 80 please keep taking me away", and it was beautiful! Them he said "this is the last show of the tour, <...>, we saved the best for last, <...> I don't know what else to tell you, umm, I love you?" And this is picture of me and a friend I gave spare ticket. https://ibb.co/LdCpCWr

  3. Now seen this in a couple of places. It says a fan asked Rob Cavallo about 1972 and he said it just needs mastered!

  9. The man wore a (faux) fur lined coat on a tour of sweaty clubs in the deep south in summer, it's Billie logic!

  10. I hope this works because I am a bit useless at adding pictures!lol! Here is a few of my best ones from London. I couldn't remember who wanted pictures of the Union Jack flag, but here you go! I do love the one of Billie smiling during Good Riddance (even if it is from the screen!) 😍

  12. To be fair, Mikes instagram bio is still 1972

  13. I'm 100% positive that the project was at one point in time called 1972. I wouldn't be too surprised if over the course of making the project the name went through some changes. If I'm not mistaken it's been a little while since we saw a 1972 hashtag.

  14. But I mean the first few teasers had it in big bold numbers, and written on a white board too!!! Just look at the first teaser RAK STUDIOS LONDON, ENGLAND GREEN DAY 1972

  18. That's exactly what happened with RevRad!!! They announced Bang Bang on August 1st and it was released on Thursday, August 11th, and the album was released on Friday, October 7th, and by the way, those dates fall on those same weekdays this year!!!!

  21. UPDATE: My friend, who is also a Green Day fan, and whom I gave one spare ticket to France show, convinced me to not give up. She even gave me 200 euro for flight ticket search, my mother also gave the same amount. So I started searching for flights, but unsuccesfully, and suddenly I found one random direct flight from Oslo to Paris. It was not cheap (I wrote the requests for a refund as you all suggested), but thanks to good people I could afford to buy it, and... I'm in Paris now!!! This means that I could see Green Day... and yesterday I was feeling completely hopeless. I still cannot believe this. I am very exhausted of this rollercoaster of emotions, but... fuck, it seems I really made it.

  23. Ok, I have a question. If this is true and isn't a rumor, may I ask how long the process for mastering takes? I've never really followed a musical artist this closely before, so I'm still learning about all the technical stuff.

  24. Officially since Pop Disaster was a double headliner, it had to when they opened for Bad Religion just before Dookie came out late 93 or early 94. They’ve been a headlining act ever since

  28. First thing comes to mind is when they toured with Blink but I think that was a split headliner. I know people at the time say Green Day outshone Blink by a lot

  31. Anything on it as long as it has “christie road” but this time, played entirely and not just half or acoustic

  32. Definitely still months away from an announcement or single. I expect to be teased at least until August or September.

  34. Showed Mum (professional) pictures from the Huddersfield gig and she was shocked by how many tattoos Billie has and was asking if any are new. I told her that they aren't new it's just that he hasn't worn short sleeves on stage for years. And I thought it was cute during the Minority introductions when he said "and my name's Billie".

  35. Now that today is the last day of the tour, I still think we will get some sort of 1972 announcement any day now. I'm hoping at least for a single before Lollapalooza!!!

  36. Plus, why would you be pissed off about an October release?

  37. I wish I understood why he wears what he wears. I heard people say it was cold in Dublin so he wore long sleeves and a t, Glasgow wasn’t warm but shirt sleeves and a t, surely it was warmer last night and he’s back in long sleeves and a waistcoat!

  38. Well Billie said he expects the album to be released in 2023 so I wouldn't get my hopes very high,,,,

  39. Are you talking new album? I know that’s the thread but just checking with the last few comments being about a movie. Can that be right, do we have any idea when Billie said probably 2023? Would seem quite soon, especially with them being away touring.

  43. So happy to be able to watch this moment again and again. It reminded me that when he introduced Mike, Billie said they’d been friends since they were 10 years old and they looked at each other and laughed, 36,000 people went “aw” it was so sweet ❤️

  44. I wouldn’t want VR instead of live but I can see an argument for it, they could reach places they wouldn’t or couldn’t visit and folk living more remotely could see more shows easier. I went to see 21st Century Breakdown in the cinema and it was great, not in a cinema would be better where you could dance and jump about easier. It wasn’t the same as seeing them live but I think it was quite successful. Quite of lot of plays and more traditional theatre productions are live streamed or shown in cinemas and I’m not sure why more music isn’t.
