UPDATE: My friend, who is also a Green Day fan, and whom I gave one spare ticket to France show, convinced me to not give up. She even gave me 200 euro for flight ticket search, my mother also gave the same amount. So I started searching for flights, but unsuccesfully, and suddenly I found one random direct flight from Oslo to Paris. It was not cheap (I wrote the requests for a refund as you all suggested), but thanks to good people I could afford to buy it, and... I'm in Paris now!!! This means that I could see Green Day... and yesterday I was feeling completely hopeless. I still cannot believe this. I am very exhausted of this rollercoaster of emotions, but... fuck, it seems I really made it.

So it seems... Or were they all at a party together? The guys a make up artist but could also be a fan who somehow met them somewhere. Post isn't exactly clear

Oh yes, some of the reporting is awful, saw a review where Rin (his name was Erin) a “superfan” played guitar with and didn’t know they gave away a guitar! And lots about some guy named Billy 😂

Showed Mum (professional) pictures from the Huddersfield gig and she was shocked by how many tattoos Billie has and was asking if any are new. I told her that they aren't new it's just that he hasn't worn short sleeves on stage for years. And I thought it was cute during the Minority introductions when he said "and my name's Billie".

I wish I understood why he wears what he wears. I heard people say it was cold in Dublin so he wore long sleeves and a t, Glasgow wasn’t warm but shirt sleeves and a t, surely it was warmer last night and he’s back in long sleeves and a waistcoat!

It was just as they were heading to King Tut's in Glasgow. Saw Tre first and he came over to say hi and get a photo. Then I saw Billie so I said hi, and asked if I could have a photo with him. They were both really nice and Billie was just 😍🔥🔥. I still can't quite believe it happened. I think I've managed to add the photo I got with him. Edit: Forgot to mention his driver joked with me about me getting in the back of his car to surprise him 🤣

Definitely still months away from an announcement or single. I expect to be teased at least until August or September.

I think it is very similar but we never get very warm. I just need to gush about how bloody fantastic this band is, Billie Joe is the most amazing frontman and his humour and enjoyment shine like a beacon. He took a little kid, 12 ish, up last night to play Knowledge and the kid was pretty good so BJ asked if he knew Basket Case and got him to stay and play that too, then gave him the guitar. You can imagine the crowd. The band is so tight and had such fun, what a blast. Cannot wait to see them again, it’s like a fix. Oh and he looked gorgeous, red polka dot shirt sleeved shirt, a little open (we saw sneaks of car tattoo on chest) new necklace, studded wrist bands and black nails. I’m swooning. so kid turned out to be 17, says more about me than him 😂😂

The way mainstream PR approved biopics are done is so formulaic that they don’t even have to make individual movies, you can watch the ones that already exist and imagine whatever band you want it to be about… I feel like I know exactly how the GD one would look: 1st act: - Estabilishing the main character, BJA. Childhood scene, his talent is discovered. - The topic of BJA’s father’s illness is introduced. BJA meets Mike, they start playing together, we want the audience to see that they vibe. - BJA’s father dies, the boy finds solace in playing music. Eventually, he gets Blue. Fade to black, 10 years later… 2nd act - We cut directly to Billie playing Blue in a club. We learn that they’re a fairly successful DIY band now, they say no to a record deal. A love interest is introduced, he meets Adrienne after the show. - They keep touring (a quick montage of other club shows, it ends with them playing 2000 LYA so the audience is reminded that there is a love interest). It’s estabilished that GD is now freakishly popular for a DIY band, but we see they still live in a dingy flat/eat from a dumpster. BJA realizes the band has much larger potential and grows restless with the scene. He advances the plot by signing with Warner. He marries Adrienne because this movie has a romantic storyline. We see the other guys have girlfriends too but this is a Hollywood production that wants to be easy to follow. - Dookie is out, another montage (this time they’re playing arenas, sometimes naked) we see them doing lines backstage, Woodstock 94 - we see that there’s backlash against them. BJA receives criticism from his mother. The audience sees that deep down he feels hurt and misunderstood, but there’s more touring, more partying, a baby, more touring, more partying, inevitably a fight with the wife. 3rd act - Fight with the wife, dissatisfaction, acoustic guitar, we are in the 00s. The band isn’t doing as well as it used to be. BJA gets dramatic about not wanting to do Warped tour and then agrees to doing it under the weight of arguments about his own lack of success. The audience sees he’s dying inside. - A studio scene, Cigarettes and Valentines sessions. It’s not going well, the band tells BJA his songs suck, he walks out, gives up, spirals… this era is dated through historical events BJA sees happening & is upset with - first 9/11, later the start of the Iraq war… we see he picks up the guitar again when he comes back home from a shitty night out. The sun is coming out and he’s playing a song the audience recognizes. (It should be Are We The Waiting except this is a wide appeal Hollywood production so the script gets changed by the studio to something more instantly recognizable but less narratively fitting… the AI riff will do). - The band makes up, they decide to give it one more try and do their best. Another montage, we see them recording and getting a general makeover. There’s a sense of hope about it all. Finally, the album is done, touching moment, we see they’ve adopted a one for all all for one mentality. - The big finale, everyone knows AI was a success. We watch the band set off on tour in a reasonably sized venue but there they are with their epic, larger than life show… they’re like this was ok, then it turns out it was more than ok - the final scene is heavily copying BIAB, they’re playing Jesus Of Suburbia in front of a huge audience. Fade to black… subtitles tell us Green Day became one of the biggest bands in the world and went on to play music for decades after this. Also they all lived happily ever after. Since there was a romantic storyline it has to be mentioned that BJA is still with Adrienne and by the time the movie comes out they have a bunch of grandkids.

It's struck on EVERY Green Day or Green Day related release in my opinion. I'm talking specifically that thing about Idiot. The events leading up to Mike being alone with his coffee (perhaps inspiring Oakland Coffee as well).....the thing that made Billie cry at the end of the recording process. Idiot had a higher power guiding it or something.
