Please calm down everybody, Billie said that the album is„probably going to come out“ in 2023. So could be 2024 oder 2025 as well (or late 2022) 😄10 points

Someone should try to catch a soundcheck for any new songs. Remember when we heard Stay the Night for the first time in 2010, 2 years before they recorded it? They also played Geek Stink Breath at a soundcheck before it was recorded for Insomniac. This video was also featured on Green Day Rock Band6 points

But what about the first teaser? RAK STUDIOS LONDON, ENGLAND GREEN DAY 1972 And in other teasers, it's written on a white board, a random motel sign, written on a piece of tape,6 points

I don't think the band has ever confirmed an album title this early so it's very possible that 1972 isn't the album title, especially since the album is likely gonna release in 2023 now. Like, we got the RevRad hashtags ages before the album but we sort of had to come up with "Revolution Radio" on our own. And granted, I think we pretty quickly came to the conclusion that RevRad most likely equals Revolution Radio because well, what else could it be but the band never said "Our new album is called Revolution Radio" until at least after Bang Bang was released I'm pretty sure4 points

I wasn't really expecting the new album to come this year so I'm not surprised there. Billie needs a talking to, though. Don't you dare just run off to England and abandon your country like that just because you can. Stay here and fight like the rest of us! Yeah, it's fucking shitty here and I'm disgusted and horrified every day by what goes on and how the people in power do nothing about it, but this is your home so suck it up and support the things that are good!4 points

He’ll be removed from it as far as being a daily stressor in his life because even though the issues mostly don’t affect him directly, we know he’s still very much affected by it in how down and stressed out it gets him because he cares so much. It’s what makes it so hard to live here for everyone.3 points

Green Day want to do more frequent albums, right? Maybe that has changed or they feel like they are onto something great, but 2025 would be the longest wait between albums ever. With the majestic FOAM being born in 2020, I'd say a late 2023 release would be the typical gap between albums. And just to make us all feel old, Idiot turns 20 in 24.3 points

That’s true but that doesn’t mean, thank good, that it doesn’t bother him! Not usually one to quite the bible but “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” is again, very relevant in our times.3 points

“Other countries have their problems too but I don’t know about them” is such a US stereotype3 points

Sorry these photos aren't great but I can read them (will try to get a better photo of page 6 where the light is shining on the text) Here is the link to my Tumblr post. Don't worry ya'll, he can still repost a strongly worded message on instagram after the next tragedy from wherever he lives.2 points

I'm going to Berlin, Rock Im Park, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Rock For People, Groningen, Glasgow and Paris I still can't believe it's happening!2 points

Green Day should do Weezer's set. Weezer does FOB and FOB does Green Day. Like the shirts!2 points

Yeah like they did with „fuck time“. They started to play it in 2009 as Foxboro and in 2010 as Green Day2 points

I think Green Day should release in October no matter when they finish an album. October 17th from now on.2 points

I doubt they’re worried about Grammy consideration but I’m wondering how the timing is for that if this album comes out in early 2023 versus late 20222 points

That's my point though. Because they haven't said an album title as early in the album making process as 1972, it might not even be the title of the album2 points

Billie's not being effected by the shit things going on in the US. He's rich & famous. The people getting fucked over are women, the working class, poc, lgtbq and Billie being in the US isn't doing anything to help these people2 points

I don't think I ever thought it was going to be coming out this year, so I'm not shocked. Just something to look forward to next year, I guess.2 points

I think the plans changed since the first teaser, and I wouldn't be surprised if even some somgs teased don't male the final cut. My guess is hat everything changed after Cavallo jumped onboard. Even the 1972 title seems not to be a thing right now, maybe they choose to change it after the Black Crowes new album which has the same name2 points
-
Why indeed. I suppose because they’re very excited by it and want to let us know they’re hard at work at something great so not to worry if we don’t get new music for a while. Without the teasing they would just be silent for months and that would suck. This way we have something to anticipate. Unfortunately that doesn’t mean it’s around the corner. I do hope we at least get more detail or even a single by the fall.2 points

I had one on RevRad and they handed you the package when you entered the arena but you could also pick it up at the VIP table after the show1 point

Just leave it to the OP, I'm sure if they have any questions or ideas I'm sure they'll ask1 point

Do you think they changed it to avoid getting sued? I wonder if they’ll call it Sweet Children. Remember that album cover Billie shared in his Instagram story?1 point

I rarely listen to the radio, but do remember them playing Oh Yeah when it came out. Can't remember if I ever heard Pollyanna. My station plays a lot of GD, but generally AI and older. Looking at the past 24 hours, they've played WICA, Good Riddance, BOBD, and She.1 point

He likes it so much that he never played any of it live on the dedicated tour.1 point

I don’t either. It’s natural to feel the problems that are the closest to you the strongest - no one has the capacity to care about everything to the same extent, plus honestly, you guys objectively have it a lot worse than we do in a lot of aspects. I was just poking fun at him, but in reality, this is a sentiment I see a lot among US immigrants - they have their own little community that’s kind of distant from locals and they’re happy to live in a place where they’re not bothered by stuff like welfare insecurity and gun violence.1 point
-
It’s fine that he loves it, I just want more detail. What about it does he think makes it an important album? Is it just the fact that it subverts expectations and sounds nothing like the rest of their catalog? Is that what he thinks any band worth their salt should do? I wish he’d elaborate.1 point

Billie's true feelings about FOAM finally REVEALED! Green Day fans are going to HATE this!1 point

Maybe because we’re willfully ignorant but also maybe because our own are so all consuming. It’s why he wants to peace out. I don’t blame him.1 point

Well pack all your predictions in, Billie says in the new Kerrang interview that the new album probably won’t be out until 2023 😭😭😭1 point
