Comments like these don't help your case. I came here to post another clip today, but then I read this. Listen, I am not beholden to you. Please be respectful and patient. We're all fans here. I got hit by a flood in my basement recently and my DAW (with most of my recording equipment was put into storage). I planned on getting that stuff out over the holiday weekend to work on this. In the meantime, I felt like taking phone clips would be appropriate for the fans to hear, as I also didn't want to release a crappy phone clip of the entire song on the internet, but rather rip it properly. Plus, the vinyl skips like crazy. It's not a clean playback. I was hoping I could potentially do some editing to clean it up a bit. Therefore there's only certain portions of the song that I can take clips of that are clean and listenable, and that's what I planned on doing in the meantime. I posted Redundant as soon as I could. And I will do the same with Alison. If you don't like that then I suggest you forget this thread and move on with your life. I agree, but I admire that Billie has his opinion about the Pistols and their influence and sticks with it, it would have been very easy for him to change to a “well fuck you then” attitude which Rotten inspires in many. Rotten was always angry and bitter, he just sounds out of touch, angry and bitter now.

There is a newer interview of Johnny that shows his better side, but yes. He's got issues that go beyond 'being punk'. We still need a Green Day movie. American Idiot may never happen but I'd love to see the story of Green Day in a well done film.

Yeah on wiki it says "The album was recorded while Green Day were writing their eighth studio album 21st Century Breakdown; they ended up recording this album as they "love to play music and be spontaneous, and after a few late night jams and a few too many bottles of wine, we were inspired to record some rockin' eight-track recordings"" so I think it was something they were having fun on for a little while.

If they’re working this hard on the album, (they haven’t worked in studios and with producers of this caliber in quiiiiite some time), it’s probably likely that they want to do a proper album rollout - which means that there’s probably not going to be a sudden release sandwiched between a lot of shows. Just a guess, but it really seems like they’re doing this right

Posted about that in the Instagram thread. It refers to a t-shirt design that’s all. So I think they’re done now with this record. Billie went to London and now the tour starts in a week and the TikToks have stopped. My guess is they’ll announce this album when the tour ends in July

I remember Billie Joe said that he‘s writing a lot (especially during lockdown) and recording demos at their small studio. Would make sense and bring these demos to recording studio with Rob and change a little bit here and there and working on them. But I can‘t see writing full songs during the whole recording sessions. It used to be expensive back then so I dont wanna know what they really pay these days for doing a record 🤷‍♂️
