  1. Here is Redundant 2-9-1998 Future Disc Systems Remix Future Disc Systems is the team who mastered Nimrod. I imagine they were involved in the single release in 1998 perhaps as an early mix, or rejected mix. Sounds like something that'd be on Warning rather than Nimrod to me. Enjoy. https://mega.nz/file/D6AgTZbJ#bW91hI_rSsynCH0joI8JlE6i3WS5-oRW4uRVehyQOcI https://mega.nz/file/2mp3CYjL#rL7hhLZ-Cylj6zx1Ac7h1Rk3hge0Frk5JGN6a5_tAME

  2. Probably would have done even better if they'd put demos and unreleased tracks on it instead of just a live show

  4. No I'm just behind on the news! Been busy and following along from the outskirts. I will say I am still cautiously optimistic about the album. As a Green Day fan it's just the stance I've been taking after the last series of albums. But it does seem promising having Rob back and I don't think bands spend the money to reserve Oceanway if they're just fucking around and putting out another album. There is most likely some significance to what they're working on. They must be atleast aiming for this to be a solid GD record. Then again, it's GD and they are one of the few bands that could reserve Oceanway just because they feel like it. The snippets we heard are quite interesting but then again I could take three or four 5-second snippets from FOAMF that would make you anticipate more than it actually was right? In conclusion, I am happy to see Rob, a real producer and him in a proper environment. Green Day is such a great band but it's definitely highlighted more when they record something in the most professional manner. Don't get me wrong, I could record them in my basement and they'd sound incredible but that talent deserves the extra push that Rob can give them at Oceanway. I just hope this album is getting the treatment that our standard Green Day records got. Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, AI and 21cb had a lot of love and care in the studio and in the songwriting process and it shows.

  6. My coworker asked my what "my type" is the other day and I said "Well... just look at Billie Joe Armstrong and you'll know. That's my type. It's Billie Joe."

  7. Is there anything Green Day can say that DOESN'T lead you to think about 1972 😁

  8. I still don't think C+V (the album) ever existed. Billie had written Money Money 2020 and was on the fence about how to release it because he didn't think it was "Green Day", though some people tried to tell him to say fuck what people think and just put it out. In the end, of course, they did the side project. I just don't buy that in such a short amount of time there was Money Money 2020, an almost finished C+V album they allege was stolen, and in just one year they pumped out American Idiot. Doesn't add up to me. 🤷‍♂️

  9. The date on those 80's SSL Consoles cannot go past 1999 so they tend to just set a year on them, but the other info would be manually entered and current/correct.

  13. One of these days we will, just a question of when. I'd bet the Insomniac 25th was a trial balloon to see how well that kind of thing would sell.

  16. I wonder if we’ll get to hear these rare tracks in a special edition package!! September 21, 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of American Idiot!!!

  17. Actually, all the tracks mentioned above by @Sheenius were taken from this picture shared by John Roecker a few years ago: https://imgur.com/a/Z1xpDYz in the image we can see acording to him, a raw version of the idiot sessions, and a cd with all the b-sides from that era that the fans assumed that were the C&V sessions

  20. For the most part they already have though, unless you're referring to those specific recording sessions (that is assuming of course what we have heard were re-recordings, we do know some were obviously) We've heard Too Much Too Soon, Shoplifter , Governator and Favorite Son which are most likely the originals. We have heard Horseshoes and Handgrenades - the version on 21cb and of course the Lights Out 21cb version The Pedestrian was on the FBHT along with Broadway Cigarettes and Valentines was on the live album Walk Away was on Tre We haven't heard Too Young, End of the World, Lately, Waste Away, Dropout and the 19th Nervous Breakdown cover but bits and pieces of those were reworked into other songs. I think C&V definitely would have still gotten the band out of that slump they got in with Warning but it probably would have been short-lived. One thing about AI is that many of the songs helped optimize their live show which is something they were actively working on at the time. AI also set up a specific path for the follow up in 21cb. Where would they have gone from C&V?

  21. I wondered that as well. Since it's an 80's console maybe that's the year it was made or purchased or has some meaning to someone. Maybe the date can't be changed anymore. I just don't think 1985 is an easter egg.

  22. Maybe 1972 will not be a CD but a floppy disk. I would buy this!

  24. I don't think there's neccesarily anything wrong with that - if you're being polite about it, it's ok to enjoy a bit of simping on the internet, but it's a little strange he doesn't keep that for a private account

  25. If it's recent, it's likely they've met in one of the studios where they've been recording... the question is whether or not they recoded together. I'd say him following her band on IG means nothing, because lately he's been following people/liking thirst traps a lot so it's possible he just enjoys her content

  31. The only real evidence is that B-sides disc Roecker posted a photo of a year or two back. Interestingly enough, the tracklist didn't feature the song C&V.

  32. I personally haven’t seen Green Day live for ages, so I’m just really excited to go to London for this, and I don’t really care about the set list at all. But If they decide to play Stuck with me, I’d highly appreciate it

  36. Nah, I’m not ready for the end of Green Day. They can give C&V to us when they really are ready to pack it in, in another decade or two.

  43. Tré's birthday is December 9th (which is also a Friday), the last of the 3 members birthdays so it makes sense if December is when we get the singles and album. We might get a single on December 9th and the album release on the 23rd. I still don't know what the 1985 is referring to. The band didn't form until 1987 Although I feel like December is a weird time to release, especially 2 days before Christmas. Tré! was released in December but that was early December and it was supposed to release in November before it was delayed. But the album would have to release in 2022 to meet the whole 1972 / 50 years old theme I imagine some people might be disappointed that if the release is December that it'll still be another 7 months before we hear the album, or even a single but I'm fine with it. For a project as big as this one seems to be, I'm expecting them to take their time and make sure it's an album that people remember fondly

  44. Their families later sue rock group Judas Priest for subliminal messages in song "Better By You, Better Than Me". It was a Monday. Is this info relevant? No. Am I happy to have showed it to you? Yes.

  48. I was thinking that the only difference between this pre era and revrad is the video teasers. I mean, they teased us with the revrad hashtag like... 8 months or something? And I remember they finished the record on June of that year. So be patient, easily they could drop an album by Sept or Oct.
