It's clear that 1972 became more of a project than just an EP. My question would be how ambitious will it be? How big will be the marketing they implement? Will there be a massive tour? I know the band doesn't owe us anything but how great it would be to have green day at the top of rock music again!6 points

It is, it feels right. He’s their George Martin they need him to find their way back to something special. I would love to know the conversation that happened when that decision went down.4 points

Beautiful photos here from photographer Sean Murphy and some nice words about working with GD: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcVdzH4rvP1/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=4 points

You reminded me, our brand new events arena just opened when Covid hit so became our vaccine centre. I had two shots there so took the opportunity to snoop round dressing rooms etc in case GD ever make it this far north! Sounds slightly creepy now I think about it 😂😂4 points

Rob Cavallo vocals, anyone? Imagine Rob in guy liner and skinny jeans. No shirt. Tatted up. Green Day 2: Rob Cavallo - vocals, guitars Machine Gun Kelly - bass Frankito Cool - drums and vocals. Fingers crossed this is the real Max Creeps. Now that I think about it, it would be awesome if Billie, Mike and Tre's children forged ahead as Green Day of the future. Somebody has to do Green Day for Gen Alpha or whoever.3 points

Chris Dugan posted a pic of a console from Oakland, can't remember if you guys figured out they'd finished in London or not but this could mean the album is being mixes (and on a Neve console no less). Or potentially they're finalising desk mixes before sending everything off to a mix engineer. Hoping though that Chris Dugan is just assisting another mix engineer because I'm not a big fan of his mixes when it comes to Green Day, barring Stop Drop and Roll3 points

And unless the video was taken a long time ago, it seems to suggest that things really are as early as I thought they were. Again I have no problem with this at all because I've expressed that I want the boys to take as much time as they need to get this right. I can live for a little while without new material any time soon, especially now that I poured bleach into my ears to try and cleanse them of whatever the fuck that Max Creeps shit was. ...Yeah it didn't work out so well and I'm gonna need some time before I can hear anything again.2 points

Listening to the #1972 teases I gotta say...it sounds like the trilogy and FOAM mixed up together. Take that as will2 points

Hopefully not. He‘s a great engineer, but the songs that he mixes have sooo much low end and are so boomy. Maybe he mixed the Max Creeps stuff, because Melissa Reese commented the post2 points

Oakland Coffee was extra speedy this time with my coffee order. Two days, nice! I'm going to do a comparison video on the Father of All Dark Roasts and Atomic Garden. Atomic Garden smells the best, as I can smell it through the freakin' bag and and Father of All Dark Roast really doesn't have a smell, which is weird. Maybe it's broken. But yeah. Coffee. I'm happy about that, (al) bummed that Shinedown are delaying their new album by months.2 points

That's what I was thinking. Either The Dirnt or Dirnt Dirnt Dirnt. I wonder if his wife refers to him as Dirnt, or Pritchard. Like if she were talking to someone who didn't know who he was, which name would she use? And Tre....does his wife call him Tre or Frank? I've really used my lunchtime wisely. Haha1 point

I do this too! Whenever I'm near Aragon Ballroom I get this sense of pride like "Yeah, my boys Green Day played there and I went! NBD NBD."1 point

I know! That was such a wonderful surprise! I've always really enjoyed Billie's drawings too. He should post more of that as well. He definitely has his own distinctive style and it's weird and lovely just like him.1 point

Surprised no one had put these new pics in here yet Don't think we'd seen any of these before1 point

Totally agree, can never believe next track is Graffitia! Wish there was more. I love Junkies on a High, I like when go for that lazy, sleazy groove.1 point
