  1. Makes sense that it's April 9th (409). I also was so confused why people thought a volunteer training meant Green Day until I saw someone circle GD's part on IG (what, I had just woken up, my brain wasn't fully functioning yet).

  2. I'm so hyped about the songs. Also very happy that RC is in the production again. And yes, i loved the Trilogy xD

  3. Could this actually be legit? Straight from Gillmans Instagram?!

  4. Billie will be the oldest one there. He's a dinosaur.

  5. When you see this on a neighborhood facebook page and do a double take. Person was asking for suggestions for their 50th birthday party.

  6. I'm waiting for a new thread tomorrow morning named "Green Day new single" with a link sending us to Rick roll

  7. Surprised they’d be back from London so soon. With April Fools day coming I don’t trust anything but who knows

  9. It'd be really funny if they were like "haha this is just a joke, there's no Green Day secret show happening at all!!" and then, what do ya know, it's a Green Day secret show. The ultimate bamboozle.

  10. I could honestly see GD using this as their album cover

  12. OK but can they please play a secret show in London while they're here (not so secret I don't hear about it of course) I think at a tiny show like Gilman, fresh off of the back of recording some new material it's safe to say they'd be excited enough about it to play at least one new song.

  13. I hope that means at least a single is coming very soon!!!

  14. Maybe they play new songs like they did before the Trilogy 😍

  15. I can hardly believe they would write that on the board but it looks pretty clear 😂😂 I know they love to break rules but that could cause such chaos!

  16. I often wonder what it must have been like for Larry Livermore in his forties there hanging out with all teenagers

  17. That's true. I might consider still going. Isn't the Gilman for a more younger crowd though? I'm 32 and might be the oldest one there lol, but if it turns out to be green day I won't care

  18. Or it turns out to be that completely unrelated band the Foxboro Hottubs

  19. Not a thing apparently, from Gilman IG stories:

  20. You also didn’t see them not playing new music at either of the previous two shows 😂

  21. Given the timing seems most likely. Tomorrow there could be a link for more info and tickets and it could say Gotcha!

  22. Yes!! I don’t see them playing a secret show just to play their greatest hits!!! Who knows, it could be 1972 from start to finish!!! I think an announcement could come any day now!!!

  23. Secret shows are for deep cuts. No Dookie or Idiot, please. Foam in full and a bunch of trilogy. Stand alone singles are okay. I guess. Oh, and new songs.

  29. I really, really hope so! We'll see. I wouldn't bet on it, though.

  30. Since they’re still in the studio now, I could see a single coming out anytime between June and August, and the album in September or October

  31. Maybe the track list goes like: 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978 but 1972 is the only year that‘s missing 🤔 oh and 1971 is the ballad, because track 7 is always the ballad

  32. I still think it is. They used the hashtag #RevRad on the first post in the studio early 2016. It was an abbreviation but still the title

  33. I have no idea, I honestly only just got really into Green Day after my friend dragged me to Hella Mega in September. Even so, they're already super important to me and have influenced my writings so much already, I'd just love to go to a venue like that and see them, especially so close to my birthday!

  35. What if Green Day cancel, and The Network fill in for them, playing 1972 in full? Whoa.

  45. I've been a Green Day fan over 20 years. My dad bought me my first cassette tape of Dookie when I was 13. That's when I fell in love with Green Day. I played it over and over until the audio quality degraded lol! Their music got me through my teenage years of depression and bad breakups. The first real punk band that got me started on playing guitar and writing my own songs. Their music took me through my 20's when I was still finding myself and who I wanted to be. Then I found the one and got married. Sadly, 3 years ago I lost my dad and 4 months later my mother. It was horrible. My husband has been my rock through it all. (My dad had copd and heart failure and my mom's breast cancer came back. ) Now at 38 years old I am reaching back to my youth, listening to all my old. Green Day albums again. Green Day seems to be the only music that can take me back to a time when everyone was healthy and the only worries I had weren't such a big deal. It is my therapy. No matter what happens in life, I know I will always have their music to listen to to get me through the good times and the bad. So I wanted to say a big thank you to the band that will always have my heart! Thank You Green Day!!! I would love to hear other peoples stories as well on how Green Day made an impact on their lives.
