I like albums with more than 10 songs. I would like to have an album with 12 to 14 songs. Would be perfect!7 points

If Billie Joe Armstrong, Reverend Strychnine Twitch, and Fink were pitted against each other in a fight to the death, who would win and how? This thought just came to me and I don't know why. I feel like Fink would fight dirty.7 points

You're talking to someone who liked FOAM, so I disagree. Besides 6 more songs wouldn't changed people's minds about that album with the direction they went in on that.5 points

Fink would definitely win. The Rev would be too drunk and Billie would be too busy pretending... sorry, I mean trying to prove he's not Fink.4 points

Thinking about it I was gonna agree but I bet the Rev could get nasty if he'd had a few too many4 points

I think it was random and no indication things are moving faster than whatever the time frame was. The only thing we can guess now that the big birthday has come and gone is whether they’ll want to release something before or after Hella Mega Europe (if it happens). If it doesn’t maybe they would push the date up. Here’s a thought — an announcement in March, a single before their festival dates and tour so they can add a new song to the setlist and a new release in September (followed by a bigger GD tour?)4 points

My money's on The Rev. He could blind his opponents with beer or break bottles and use them as weapons. Or throw beer cans at them. Although Fink does have that pointy tail...3 points

You'd have to ask our Australian / New Zealish folks who live in the future. I wouldn't put it past 'em to already HAVE Green Day 14 and they're just holding out on the rest of the world.3 points

Oh boy, I got you guys going! the new album SPANK! Scrumptious Spanking Spankwurst (the worst spanking time of your life) Extraordinary Squirrel (lyrics: in an ordinary tree / and she can't seem to get the nuts) Basketspank Why Do You Spank Him? Sweet Spanking Spanked for a day Spankhead Church on Spanking Spank Time Too Dumb to Spank Spank Spank Everyone seems to be enjoying the snippets, even if most of ya'll are giving them a backhanded compliment about it being better than FOAM. I like the sounds we're getting as well, but I want some foamy goodness, too. Maybe turn up the emotion in the vocals a bit. I want some SAD, EMO stuff, ya know? really twisted, dark and mental stuff. That on top of the shining, glorious and fun guitars we're hearing and I think we've got a hit, people. And again.....some of those feel good hits of the year, like Still Breathing. Even a straight up sequel "Still Breathing II".3 points

I think we’ve just been using this thread as a catch all for all future tour dates since the Hella Mega and nonHM dates are mixed together. There was discussion whether they will play Russia now but I don’t think Billie’s comment addresses this specifically. He’s saying they will for sure be back at some point, he obviously can’t say whether the scheduled show is happening if nothing official has been announced.2 points

I don’t understand. Is the OP a Russian defending the invasion? Who are you referencing when you say is this the message you want to put out there, the OP or Billie? Billie’s was a private conversation so I don’t even think the person should have shared that. So is it the OP’s post and views you take issue with? I respect Billie for wanting to be open minded and educate himself (and loving a country and their fans/its people is not the same as supporting their leaders)2 points

That would be cool and the right thing to do. I’m usually sceptical about boycotts, but it seems a local subsidiary of a Russian bank might go bankrupt very soon, just because so many clients have decided to close their accounts this morning. It can actually make a difference while there’s enough outrage.2 points

Green Day should announce they’re not playing in Moscow. Make a statement of it that they won’t support the Russian economy that finances their military. Why do I suspect instead that they’ll just quietly take the show off their schedule without a word?2 points

You think just Fink would fight dirty?! I think it would be terrible, cake everywhere 😂😂2 points

Okay, I think we need these right now. They may have been posted before (probably by me since I made them ), but that hasn't happened for a good long while. EDIT: Forgot one.1 point

While I'm still slightly afraid that the production of the 3rd teaser is just that of a demo version (they're filmed in a studio playing together, which would indicate this; I don't think they've ever recorded an album without separately recording drums/guitar/bass), there's also the possibility that it is a fond nod to their discography. Essentially an album or EP that openly admits to being a bit nostalgic and retrospective. The first teaser sounded a little more processed and polished to my ears, more along the lines of post-Warning or "modern" Green Day, whereas this last teaser, at least production-wise, is very simple and stripped down and could almost be taken straight off Insomniac or Nimrod. The record would then kinda be a mix of those two styles, perhaps as a sort of "greatest hits" collection, but with the twist that they're all brand-new songs with a retrospective element.1 point
