Oh the things I would do if this were true... Dreamcatcher to me is the best unreleased Green Day song, and number 10 all time (yes, I am that in love with this song, and I am proud of this, song of the year 2015). I suppose it was written during or right after 21CB era? Gosh, even if similar song would be released, it would seem like a caught dream, pun intended.

Is it even televised? Not that I'll be able to watch, I've got plans that night. Edit: after some digging, this is NOT a broadcasted/televised event.

The real question is do we get to watch the entire set or will one song be broadcasted?

Okay here’s what I think, we have this interesting pattern of releasing things on dates corresponding to 1972, 2/?? We have a SuperBowl weekend show on Saturday February 12. We saw in the teaser they were rehearsing something with Kevin (a touring member) so probably practicing to play something live (since the songs should already be recorded by now) So I think we’ll get the next tease February 1, and another final one February 7 announcing a new single and EP/LP release. The single will arrive Friday February 11 and the full release on February 17. They’ll play the single at the concert on the 12th (hopefully an attendee will capture it on video)

Also new live show just over two weeks!

Hopefully something will be released soon. I don’t know how much longer I can take this. Last tease was last Saturday? Hopefully something will happen soon. I’m ok with the teases while we wait as long as they keep coming. The waiting is the hardest part! Nothing concrete so far these guys are great at creating suspense. I am so ready for another clue!

I predicted they will in the album spec thread. I think that’s why Kevin was there rehearsing in the teaser. Single Feb 11, play live Feb 12 (in place of Pollyanna or the Kiss song)

i'm totally agree! I always loved that live version they played during a soundcheck in 2010. Since then i always hoped them to release a studio version.

And the acoustic guitar in the second teaser sounds like it could be an intro to the same song!!! The reverb in the guitar gives it a dreamlike feel to it!!!

Dreamcatcher recorded at Otis would be amazing. I can’t believe how many of us have been asking for that for so long and we’re still holding out hope and waiting. I am so happy although Devil’s Kind didn’t make the Longshot album at least it was a single. The Longshot was such a real treat. All amazing songs. People were glad Devil’s Kind got released even if it wasn’t on the record. I hope Dreamcatcher gets a random special single release like Fell for You and Devil’s Kind did. Dreamcatcher is amazing. It deserves to be released and enjoyed. That song has all the feels and sounds good too! I didn’t notice! I’m going to go check it out. Thanks for mentioning it!

I don't care to see any of their meat and potatoes, thank you very much. Let alone when I'm least expecting it. I'm spoilering it even though it's just a link and doesn't show up as an actual image on here. You can thank Getty Images for that. I was looking at cool GD pics and then suddenly there was a picture of Tré with his banana and berries out.

You know what? Call me crazy but the song in the first teaser actually sounds like it could be a faster version of Dreamcatcher. It has a similar chord progression!

How many bad words do you guys expect from 1972? Uno levels of obscenity, Warning levels of restraint or something in between? Personally, I feel like it's going to have 6 F bombs, 2 D bombs, and 1 S bomb. No piss this time around. Like Stephen King in his last few novels, Billie has finally learned to walk without his piss crutch. I hope. Songs for A holes may make a lyrical appearance, but not a title. Lyrical themes will be more personal, band related and maybe coffee will be mentioned again. The word dude should be used this time around.

I dreamt that hubby and I were in Vegas. We had a car and had gone to lunch and to shop for bacon. We needed to send the bacon to friends in Australia so they could render the fat (!). But because the bus and trains were running late we decided to walk (no idea what happened to our car!). The MGM was just a couple of blocks beyond a highway. We go in and run into Billie Joe! We chat and then Adrienne joins the conversation. I remember thinking, in my dream, that they are really tiny people! We must have mentioned looking for bacon because Billie told us that there was bacon beer if that would help! I always have weird dreams and have no idea what this one was really about! So, yeah, only in my dreams do I get to meet the Armstong’s!!

21CB Billie will always be my favorite, but AI is very close. He honestly just kept getting hotter. Sometimes it's so hard to choose! It's kind of a mood by mood basis of which era Billie I find the most attractive. If we're talking pre-AI Billie, I do really like Insomniac and Nimrod.

This is a really interesting picture of Billie. I love the double earrings! He's pretty in a different way than he became during AI onward.

This is around Billie's birthday - I wonder if any 1972 stuff will have made an appearance by then. A high profile show is a good time to make an announcement.
