According to the Balinese saka calendar we are in 1943 (or 44? The math is a bit confusing), and I think this confirms the record will be released in about 29 years. Question is, when in 29 years? I would say summer, according to the insiders that’s a fancy season for record releases. But when is summer? Being a tropical country, Indonesia and Bali (where the Balinese saka calendar is in use) do not have spring, summer, autumn, or winter. So this record will never be released. Deal with it suckers.

You may need to manage those expectations to avoid disappointment when it’s only an EP of good standard Green Day songs. I honestly don’t think they are attempting any kind of “comeback”

There's no button to state "Agree" but I agree with this 100%. I think that they're just sharing moments, or bits of the process of this new project they're obviously working on. Not everything it's a fucking signal we should decode and make a big deal of something that ISN'T.

I don't think anyone's under the impression that Green Day will be making music until the end of time. But idk why people are saying that they're gonna break up after this album when there's no reason to be thinking that

I think Green Day is planning something special for the next album. FOAM was obviously a short experiment or a way of showing they don't care and was not meant to be taken too seriously. So they probably had many great song ideas to work on since Revrad + ideas from outtakes related to previous albums sessions. I would like to think that they are preparing a comeback with a really strong album (that is in the works since Revrad) which will probably be special among their fans. 1972 may be an EP which will take place as a fresh material before this year's Hella Mega Tour and may contain at least 1 song that will appear on the new album too. My guess for the new album release date is late 2022 but it all depends on how the pandemic will continue of course, as the band wouldn't wanna lose this strong new album through the pandemic conditions. Let's wait and see

Is Billie's British accent coming back thicker than ever since the album was recorded in London?

I'm hoping that was just because there was A LOT of mystery last album cycle. We had the Magnum Opus dilemma for months, we had the songs for assholes instagram account, etc. There was a lot of unknown and it made it a fun interactive time. Even the latest Network release had a lot of mystery beforehand with yet another fakeout from another band. Hopefully the forum picks up when something is announced!

I don't do Simple, but the simplest answer is the new album is called 1972. It's coming at some point in 2022. It will contain songs performed and written by Green Day for the most part. Songs will have titles as well as guitar, bass and drums and will be produced by someone. Some people will love it, others will not. @Little Boy Named Booze will love it so much, he changes his user name, proclaiming the song's third song to be the best song since Little Boy Named Train.

Had a dream that my sister texted me that Adrienne was at our parents' house with her kids (who were still small). When I got there, they had left, but left behind an Armstrong family history book that was several hundred pages, full of pictures, articles, etc. Woke up before I had a chance to go through it though.

I think we were having a discussion on the next album in the Holy Toledo thread, so just for fun, I started this thread and I honestly didn’t think anything would be happening this fast!!! On the last speculation thread before FOAM, we were about 100 pages in before anything happened!!! Before that, all we had was Butch Walker’s studio video in which someone on here recognized Tré’s drums!!!

So,Tre and Mike think they are about to release a new album, but on the day....Billie cancels the release and says he done with singing and is becoming a potato chip model.

He really is ageless here. I sometimes have to do a double take when I see a video or picture of him now before realizing it's current and not something old that's been reposted. That trickster!

Had a dream that Kevin and Tre were on an episode of L&O SVU. I was debating whether or not to watch, since I haven't watched in years, but how could I not with them on it? I had finally decided to watch, but there were numerous tvs on in the room, all tuned to different channels. Then the dream switched to being a party at Kevin's (now the second dream I've had that was a party at his place), and I was ignoring all the guests because I was desperately trying to find a bowl so I could eat cereal (cause that's what you do at a party). It ended with Kevin and his wife getting into a fight and escorting everyone out. Never did get my cereal.
