It's gonna be a comp, I think the boys are keen on reinventing themselves and not treading old ground, and these 6 songs will be used for an upcoming studio album, but I predict 1972 specifically will be another compilation, but a significantly more interesting one than gfb or bbc sessions. please note this is unfounded conjecture lol

Warning is such an overlooked album. So many great songs, which fit together very well. Bbc sessions just coloured it more.

I think you are bang on. This is a band who have said repeatedly there will never be a Dookie part 2, or anything else, it’s not what they are about. I think the song writing could be reflective and wide ranging but I don’t expect Kerplunk part 2.

I hope Billie finds inspiration to put the word 'salad' into a new lyric. That would just really pound my cake, ya know? Maybe record in a haunted cabin in the woods and focus the lyrics on love for music. Matt Skiba would sound excellent with Billie Joe. He should do Nightlife 5. Do we have anyone here on GDA that was around in 1972?

I thought he had told the fan that they recorded six new songs. Did he say that or just six songs? I expect they’ll be new, they might remix old stuff at times but they never re-record old songs why would they do that. Billie said recently he likes writing from the perspective of his younger self so for his birthday I think this release is called 1972 because he’s going to be looking back lyrically and the music will be typical Green Day sound.

Internet trolls are so annoying. I wish they’d go away. They’ve existed as long as the internet has. I hope Billie Joe ignores them. They are not worth a second of his time. I’m so glad he’s back on Instagram. Posting the pic of Tré was probably just an oops. I didn’t think anything of it until someone mentioned it here. It was just a little hiccup and he deleted it.

Why does he delete things. I think it’s funny that he posts something and discussion happens and then he deleted something and even more discussion happens. We seem to be really into this band. Alright then Billie: You keep your secrets 😆
