All this fits pretty well into the rumours about six new songs from their recent session in London. I think it’s safe to expect at least an EP sometime soon

Every time I hear Green Day on the radio while I'm driving I feel compelled to report it because it's such a rare occurence in this country I've heard American Idiot and Basket Case a few times now but it was Holiday yesterday.

I love how for whatever reason I woke up at 4 in the morning just now and somehow got lucky enough to see this lmao, I’m not dreaming right? 1972 tho.. oh, billie, mike and tre, maybe that could be a song or maybe the album title?

If it’s like last year on Fox I will laugh so hard. That was terrible. And I don’t know if the person running Fox’s Twitter was drunk or what but they were so rude and ignorant it was HILARIOUS and then the tweets were mysteriously deleted 😆 Please don’t let this be something prerecorded from before 2020 😆 I stayed up so late to watch that and it was TERRIBLE not only prerecorded but previously aired old footage from before lockdown 😆 I’m going to guess that because Billie Joe is sharing it on his Instagram that even if it’s prerecorded at least is will be something we haven’t seen before.

I would assume so being NYE.

Two of their albums have 18 songs: Nimrod & 21st Century Breakdown. And both of those albums are considered to be top 5 Green Day albums

Just when I got out, they pull me back in. You know how Pollyanna had the hot dog cover? The Bratwurst single will have an overly optimistic person on the cover. Other songs will include: Pretty Pink Turtle Best of Times King Done Died Out of Gas Impaled You Green Day is Sandy They Can hear you scream in space, they just don't care (hemisphere volume one) Alien Breed Tarzan Mummies From The Reprise Zac Deaf You Were Saying In The Summer Heat Paper Lighthouse The Song Marie 0 Stupid Good Stupid Epic and finally, Hella Mega. Their focus on their biggest hits will heavily influence this album, with just enough new blood to apease us weirdos. They Can Hear You Scream will be 7:77 on the album, but will be released as a single that is 30 minutes long. It will also go into detail about what Christian and the protagonist of Haha You're dead are up to.... They formed a band who have a song called Viva LA Network and... that's it.

Alone again. At least this time they didn’t have to say Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. He’s been doing this so much he’s finally getting independent name recognition. I’m sure he’s on because they’re doing the Superbowl show together with Miley so this is all required promotion, but still, perform as a band guys?

Might be wrong, but I think for a band that is not really the hip thing on the market atm, that is pretty good time window to get some media and public attention.

Exciting! I think they would not build such a teaser for only one song, unless it’s gonna drop in the next few days. My bet is on at least an EP.

Wow... Well, it certainly took a while, but goddamnit, I'm actually really excited again! In fact, last time I was this excited must have been during the whole traumatic MOOTIK experience. Whatever it is (and their trailers are unfortunately known to be hideously unrepresentative), it sounds good! Kinda reminds me a little bit of that sax part in Homecoming actually (and that's only a good thing). I think, if this indeed to be an EP/Album or even just a stand alone release, there are two more or less realistic options: 1) Their sound sticks somewhat to the FOAM formula 2) They keep the classic rock throwback vibe, but it's an improvement over FOAM, with some Longshot and FBHT vibes once again, but some new sounds also, perhaps even with a hint of 2000-2004 Green Day in there, who knows...

Out of Gas / Baja Blast Taco Bell but I'm in heaven multiple my soul and heart by the number 7 Oh ! The cover! It will be a painting of Pukey the Unicorn chugging a Mountain Dew! my guess when i saw the "1972" with the rumours about them recording 6 new songs in london i expect them to release an EP on billies bday in 2022, it would also support the hella mega shows in europe next summer (if they can take place) new music is always nice, and its good to see them releasing new stuff this frequently since foam (all the standalone songs, now possibly a new EP), but i would prefer a solid new LP instead of 1 song here, 2 songs there

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere but I just saw a commercial for Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson's New Years thing and it listed Billie as a performer.

One that I’ve heard is pretty forgettable. Fun, but forgettable.

Now that we know something’s coming, whether it be a full length album or the rumored EP, anyone think they’ll shadow drop a single on Christmas Eve like they did in 2015 with Xmas Time of the Year?

I prefer music more frequently as long as it’s good. If it takes longer to release something of better quality that’s ok too.

I’m excited for this whole thing! I don’t even know what it is yet! Typical hopeful and excitable Green Day fan. I wouldn’t want to be any other way.

I‘m including streams as well. I just mean that I really wish that Green Day gets more relevant and more air play again. So one more great selling album would help a lot.
