  1. If I had the chance to be putted on stage during the 21CB era I would have eat his entire mouth

  3. What is it with Billie and biting/licking things? Don't get me wrong, I am definitely NOT complaining. He just seems like a very mouthy person. I know Billie took to licking peoples' phones during the Longshot tour when they got too close with them as well. Pretty sure there is footage of someone getting their phone's lens licked at a show, but I don't know where to find it anymore. Here are some actual carnations (I think), but he's just posing sweetly with them.

  5. That one time you ask the crowd to say “Hey, hey!”, but they say “Hey, oh!” instead

  6. Revisiting Holy Toledo and I like it much better than the previous singles. When I first heard it I was bouncing around my desk at work. I just love the vibe of it! It's upbeat and fun! Pollyanna is good too but doesn't hit like Holy Toledo. And the less said about HCTS the better.

  8. Holy Toledo is great. It’s a wonderful surprise right now. I’m so happy about it. NGL I have been very disappointed and disengaged as a fan over the past year since the hype over the Network fizzled out. Pollyanna and HCTS were not very exciting for me. I thought they were lacklustre songs compared to FOAM and now Holy Toledo. Maybe Pollyanna was great live but how would most of us know? This is the least engaging Green Day fan era I have ever encountered. It’s made worse by the pandemic. I did connect with GD fans IRL back before at shows etc but now obviously
 Not so much
The No Fun Mondays and the Network felt different. That felt like an innovative way of getting excited and involved and having something to look forward to no matter what part of the world you were in or how isolated you were. No interviews, no engaging social media, a feeling of apprehension about attending live events
It’s been tough on a lot of people and a lot of us have felt left behind. Thank goodness Holy Toledo doesn’t suck. It’s like a well needed silver lining. I have probably listened to that song more in the last couple of days than Pollyanna and HCTS combined. I think I checked those other singles out and then that was it. I didn’t feel a need to listen to those songs more than a couple of times. And I don’t really have much of an interest in rereleased records. I appreciate the history it’s important but it’s not as exciting as a new really great song. Holy Toledo rules. P.S. The Longshot still rules too. I hope the ‘Shot comes back with an amazing new record. I feel FBHT, Trilogy and Devil’s Kind/Longshot vibes through Holy Toledo. It’s a really good feeling.

  10. I remember reading the Adrienne comment too, but only once years ago and I never saw it again. Don't remember if it was from an official source, or just a fan comment somewhere though. There were still a handful of times after he got sober during the trilogy tour. RevRad, the few times it happened, it was the fan kissing him. I figured part of the reason why he pulled back was because some people have gotten more sensitive about that kind of thing the past few years so he just lets the fan drive it.

  12. I'd say this song is so catchy. Reminds me of the trilogy era especially Stray Heart and even all the way back to Mother Mary (fbht). Totally enjoyed jamming to this song so I did a cover as a one man band.

  13. I like it. I've listened to it again unlike Here Comes the Shart and Pollyanna which I don't remember or care enough to go back to. It'll probably grow on me some more yet.

  14. Thank you for sharing what so many of us are feeling. You articulate perfectly my feelings for Billie and what he has contributed to my life as well. It is also notable how GDC is different than any other fandom.

  15. I think the kissing started as him being provocative by grabbing guys and kissing them but from about American Idiot onwards (by which time GD's audience interaction became much more friendly and non confrontational) it just became a thing where fans were happy to come up and give him a kiss or get a kiss from him. Although he seems to initiate it less (and he's never been the one to initiate it with girls at GD shows) IIRC a couple of times fans have done it at more recent shows and he's obliged. It's just harmless and friendly, although obviously unlikely to be happening under present circumstances! I've never heard of Billie or Adrienne saying anything about it.

  16. Billie appeared to stop kissing people once he got sober on the 99 Revolutions Tour and I kind of assumed it was that. Only my observation/opinion. I noticed that after the girl got on stage at Hella Mega for KYE (Florida I think) and went in for a hug/kiss no one got invited on stage for KYE again afterwards!

  17. Source on the Adrienne part? Only thing I heard on that subject was according to Billie she once googled "Billie Joe Armstrong bisexual" and there were lots of photos of him kissing guys lol. Many years before that they said they stopped spitting on/being spat on by fans because they kept getting sick, maybe thinking of that? When I saw Foxboro Hot Tubs in 2009 my sister and I caught swine flu (still the most ill I've ever been in my life) from a bunch of other people who had it, and the band was apparently ill after it too. Unsurprising with constant beer being passed from the stage to multiple people and crowdsurfing and kissing and beer spitting going on from Billie. It was a superspreader event. I'm still jealous that he and my sister kissed (she doesn't even fancy him lol)

  18. All I remember about HCTS is that "shock" sounded like "shart," so you can always say it's open to interpretation!

  24. It could have been in relation to the spitting thing the getting sick part but the Adrienne thing I remember in relation to his kissing so many girls that tour but I can’t never find where I read things. He was so flirty that tour I can see her saying okay enough like he crossed a line.

  25. I’m so glad this man never caught some crazy illness. Or did he? To this day does anyone actually know why the early Rev Rad shows in late 2016 were canceled? Aren’t phones super dirty? This man is so dirty! Miss him so much
 He’s such a nasty little gremlin ❀

  29. I've heard this a few times now and honestly every time I listen to it the first other similar Green Day song that comes into my head is "Meet me on the Roof". Second would probably be Graffitia. Don't know that I'm mad about the lyrics but I accept it was written for a movie that they're relevant to. The tune is a bop

  30. Not so sure, this track sounds nothing like a FOAM track. It has no synths or clapping. It sounds like Green Day getting back to straight up rock!!! But on the other hand, if it is a FOAM outtake, this is probably the reason why it was cut, sounding out of place on the record.

  32. I would LOVE to see them perform on TV again. That would give them exposure for the new song and give us an opportunity to see some new pro-shot footage. It's a win-win.

  34. I really like Holy Toledo a lot. I hope it gets some traction. I understand Pollyanna even though it was just a single was likely on every set list for Hella Mega because of the pandemic environment and the message of the song. I hope Holy Toledo gets a video and some extra promotion. I love it and would love to see a video for it.

  35. I agree. Here Comes the Shark with shark lyrics would be awesome. A whole HCTS album of songs. And another version maybe Here Comes the Shart. They could write lyrics about feelings regarding eating a deep dish pizza before a huge stadium show and more. Lots of sharty experience they could integrate into life experience based lyrics. Holy Toledo is amazing and I hope this is a sign of music to come.

  38. It's a tough choice between Pollyanna and Holy Toledo. But Pollyanna just hits me in a different way. I honestly also like Here Comes The Shock for what it is, a dumb fun standalone single. It would be a really fun song live that I'm positive we will never see.

  39. Valid opinion. No one is hating on you. I'm still processing and need to have a few more listens before I form a definitive view on it. First impression is I think it's neat and I personally like the Foxies vibes.
