Seems to me like they all had different purposes. HTCS was probably a FOAM leftover and they put it out to coincide with the NHL promo. Pollyanna came out to help promote the rescheduled Hella Mega. They’re probably just throwing them out as needed to aid promotion and give us something to chew on until the next record. I doubt they decide the musical direction. Green Day always do what they want for better or worse.

I wonder why they're doing these single track releases since HCTS. Maybe they're trying to change their sound but also trying to see which sounds the fans are more favourable towards. Like, people seemed to prefer Pollyanna to HCTS so maybe this song is a continuation of that sound more than FOAMF or HCTS? I'm not sure cause I don't think they really care all that much about what anyone else thinks of their music, as long as they like it and are enjoying what they're doing

Hopefully this is just the first domino, and we'll be getting a spring tour or at least a short run of festival appearances. I do believe I'll go to this if they don't announce anything closer to me and my wallet can handle the travel costs.

I hope they do a run of club shows again. That was seriously my favourite way to see them. But I understand these big headliners pull in more money. we’ll see!
