“The Hella Mega Tour averaged 33,000 tickets each night across its 20 shows -- more than double the pace of Green Day’s previous peak” That must be what they meant by more effective touring, make more money with half the amount of shows. They never tell you this part but after all the parties involved get their cuts, I wonder how much each band walks away with per person per show. Also I assume this number includes merch sales not just tickets sold?2 points

HLAHG has some great moments, but since it's a DVD, the SD quality is a bit disappointing 😓 I wish they would release it on Blu-ray disc.2 points

Possibly not traditional rock as the likes of AC/DC say, but they do lean that way to me anyway. Green Day aren’t really traditional rock either - at severe risk of starting a genre discussion!1 point

I wouldn't say any of those (including Olivia Rodrigo and Willow Smith) are truly rock. They're mainly pop and some have shades of hip hop. There's a concerted effort by ClearStream to remove traditional rock from the airwaves. Nowadays, you have to have some extra flare or spice to your music. I don't see traditional rock music making a comeback until the next generation of kids is older.1 point

Agreed. People keep telling us rock music is dead and yes, we struggle (certainly in Uk) to hear it on mainstream radio and tv, but clearly there is still a good appetite for rock. Hopefully with the interest around Machine Gun Kelly, Yungblud, Nova Twins and the like it will increase.1 point

The Basketcase live video has black Trilogy X's that pop up at seemingly random frames. TRIGITAL BLACK, the new Trilogy from Green Day....Just as epic as the first, but this time....Billie is around to make you buy it!1 point

I don’t know, I can imagine the nightmare it was to organise, even before COVID, and can just hear all those in the background going “never again” 😂😂1 point

I got this photo from greendaysminority on Instagram. She posted it in a story a few months back, so I requested the full image from her and she finally saw the DM and sent it to me. She also reposted my new Billie drawing. @The Grohl I LOVE his eyes in it. Just absolutely stunning. Very mesmerizing as you mentioned. This one's just super cute. I love it when he gets wide-eyed like this.1 point

I just listened to them and they both sound so good (especially hearing an old track like OOML done so tight and dookified) that it’s a shame they were left off. But I wonder if it was for the simple reason that they didn’t have clean live tracks of those two because here you can see these are the only two tracks that have the DJ talking over them either at the beginning or the end.1 point

No doubt I'll end up buying it for "completion of collection" purposes but I need more Green Day stuff like I need a hole in the head (I don't know if you have that expression in the US?)1 point

I got “what is mike dirnt’s bass” that’s a pretty cool question. Better than “is Billie Joe Armstrong alive” 😳1 point
-
If you type in "what is Green Day's..." it actually comes up with "what is Green Day"! For Billie "what is Billie Joe Armstrong doing now" Tre "what is Tre Cool's real name" And Mike - looks like people don't ask because nothing comes up! Year's ago when Tre was single the most asked question was "what is Tre Cool's net worth" which is kind of sad1 point

From setlist.fm seems they did play it. This is the average setlist from 12 of 13 shows https://www.setlist.fm/stats/average-setlist/foxboro-hot-tubs-bd6198a.html?tour=23d7083f From a quick search couldn't find a video but maybe someone else knows of one?1 point
