Hi guys, I decided to start a new thread for this topic to speculate a bit, if it's not ok please close it So, some days ago we saw Tré posting a story on IG where he was on a plane. Thanks to Sara's stories we realized they are in London now, together with some of the Green Day Crew, like Chris Dugan (who posted a pic of a #wurlitzer on Instagram) and some others, maybe also Greg. Then @steviered80 posted a photo on Twitter saying he meets Billie in Camden so he's in there too of course: On the latest update Steve wrote that he was there with his wife "and some other people", I'd say Greg, if you look closely on the photo in the reflection (?) ahah So what do you think they are up to? Promoting BBC Live Session? Recording something (HOW I WISH) but if it's true, where is Mike? Just for fun/personal things (but then why the crew is there?) I'd love a secret show but I'm fantasize maybe ahah By the way I'm glad it's time to speculate again AND, I'm glad they're on my side of the world ❤️

I havent been on this forum for years! But came back especially to speculate haha. It was my birthday on Saturday, did a pub crawl in Soho, and now see Billie Joe was around the same area at the same time! Can't believe it, if I'd bumped into him with my friends, while drunk on my birthday it would have been carnage! Anyway, seems likely its related to the BBC sessions, but surprising so many of the crew are here, which gives me hope for some type of gig... I'm tempted to go and hang around Maida Vale Studios, as wouldn't surprise me if they're there as that's where the original recordings are from... anyway fingers crossed for something, its been too long!

All I know is they better not do something right now while I 100% can't have any days off work (currently doing double the normal amount of work with no days off since one person quit and the other is off sick and I'm the only one left) . I feel like a secret show isn't that likely with the covid situation anyway so probably just something to do with the live sessions/promotion.

Finally the kinds of sightings we should have had on tour. This feels so normal ❤️

Actually the live recordings usually do have multitracks and are mixed like a normal song - in the first song released you can hear how everything is panned and balanced around, and there’s even separate guitars in the left and right ear, which means they either did two passes of the original or there are overdubs going on

I haven’t seen those yet. Most recent ones are for breast cancer awareness and before that were the ones of her and Mike together at a bar That might explain why Chris Dugan is there. Doing the mixing or mastering maybe (live performances wouldn’t have tracks to mix so whatever the engineer would need to do to get these ready for release sounding good)

Now would be the perfect time to start dropping hints 🙂

Yes, to enter the country you must be vaccinated and must doing the test, if not you need to do 10 days of quarantine if I remember well. Maybe he comes alone (?)

Not new album but this is still exciting! I was so bummed when the original releases were exclusive to Oakland Coffee subs. I love coffee but don't love that price! I just hate it's coming for the holidays because I'm not supposed to buy stuff to let my friends and family get gifts for me....but I still wanna pre order CD AND vinyl 😆 (Probably still pre order at least the vinyl for myself 👀)

I also wondered about Abbey Road 🤣 BBC session wise I was thinking promo. But it can't only be a small thing for them to have come over in person, and I don't imagine Mickey would be brought if only for a one or two day trip....what is up their sleeves?

Hopefully something! I’m so excited! I’m jumping to conclusions! But a lot of us are feeling like something is up and it’s been like that for a couple of weeks… Hopefully this is something! Isn’t it a pain to travel from the US to the UK right now? Seems too much of a coincidence.

I just hate it because I don't see how emos posing around, being abusive to their parents for no reason, vandalising stores and cutting their wrists to be cool reflects anything about Billie's youth/the Bay Area punk scene that seemed to actually have worthwhile values which the song refers to. Like, youth rebellion can be shown without being super cringe. I think it was the first Green Day video I waited for and I was very disappointed by it lol. Director's fault though not the actors.

To me JOS is just cringe edgy emo teens acting like posers and spoiled brats. With bonus "self harm is so cool!!!11". I was a teenager myself when it came out and cringed then as well. The message of the WMUWSE one is good but again with the cringe emo melodrama at the beginning . Not my cup of tea. Yeah I remember the way they described the concept of it (them playing rockstar characters doing the "sex drugs and rock n roll" thing) was better than the finished result. I think the main problem was the band members were awkward , and the director just didn't really manage to make it look like they and the models were having a fun time. The uncensored Playboy version (which isn't just uncensored but an entirely differently cut video with different footage from the shoot) was a bit better because they looked like they were enjoying themselves a bit more.

I hope it’s something new 😍 But yeah what else could it be but the BBC Sessions. They can record here. Travelling is a pain. Sure they were in a bunch of cities working on stuff for the Trilogy… This maybe is either maybe rehashing previous stuff or something they have never done before. Being a Green Day fan is the best. Mysteries and excitement! I hope so!!!!!!!!! I’m getting too excited about basically nothing 😆 We will find out soon hopefully!

I got this photo from greendaysminority on Instagram. She posted it in a story a few months back, so I requested the full image from her and she finally saw the DM and sent it to me. She also reposted my new Billie drawing. @The Grohl I LOVE his eyes in it. Just absolutely stunning. Very mesmerizing as you mentioned. This one's just super cute. I love it when he gets wide-eyed like this.

I loved both Troubled Times videos, the lyric one, and the "where did it come from" one (which I remember someone here was putting out the theory that someone must have hacked Billie's phone ).

I remember when that photo was released and most people thought it was a carnation. I even looked up if carnations are edible or not. Turns out they are. Funny how we don't bat an eye even when we assume Billie is eating a fucking flower. We're just like "Huh. Okay, that seems about right."
