I don't usually like to get involved in topics like this, but I just want to chime in real quick and say that the idea that Billie will eventually and inevitably be cancelled (I've always disliked that term anyway) somehow is baffling to me. Green Day has been in the public eye for over 30 years and the band members have proven themselves over and over and over again to be genuinely sweet, goodhearted people - and that's one of the things I really fangirl about. Literally everyone is going to fuck up at some point. We've all said something or done something wrong; even the best of people have. If there is a situation where someone legitimately deserves to be cancelled, that means they've crossed the line big time and are potentially just a shitty person to begin with. A contender for cancellation is a whole other category of person and I would not lump any of the GD boys into that. That's just my viewpoint on this and I wanted to share my thoughts since it's been mentioned. I'm sorry, Hermione. 😓 Now I'll share this pic of lovely, crooked tooth Billie because that's what we're here for.

Okay, someone agrees. Time to push this further.... Green Day should ONLY play Father of Songs For the rest of their career.

We need some secret, small club shows for the songs in the Never Played Live Club. I'll give it to Green Day - they've played more of their material than most rock bands do. But gosh darn it, we need an encore featuring "No One Knows" and we need it 20 years ago. Song of the century is a good, mellow one as well. Also, Panicsong and Westbound Sign would get the crowd perfectly whipped into moshpit madness. Gotta have those. And in the last 10 years, oh boy. Trilogy has 4 completely overlooked tracks that NEED rocking. Nightlife followed by Rock N Roll All Nite, anyone? And the three Rev Rad tracks we didn't get? Rude, I tell you. But Father of All? They just need to rock the entire album in some dirty, blown out basement somewhere in the state of South Carolina. Heck, Mick Jagger was hanging out at a bar nearby and nobody noticed. WTH.

Now that I'm working in a dentist's, all I can think of when I see his old teeth is that he needs some GIC and then be brought back for an AGP and composite filling 😂 Would look so much better than his veneers tbh

I’ve only seen this on YouTube. I used to watch it regularly by accident not by accident when I’d check for Green Day news. This was the days before the excellent livestreams haha. His livestreams were so dramatic even when they weren’t. Omg I miss the livestreams… but this isn’t about that… I FORGOT ABOUT THIS LITTLE ACTING SCENE: the ponies will get ya… I am going to watch right now thanks for reminding us of this excellent Billie acting! Omg so cute! And good! So glad to be reminded this exists!

This is my FAVORITE BJA acting moment. His appearance on the show is so random! My friend and I used to watch this clip on repeat and then at random intervals throughout the day say "the ponies will get ya"

So in the Lost TV fandom there was a message board forum much like this one called The Fuselage. It was the official message board of the show. The cast, writers and show runners all had their own accounts and they each got a thread just for them in a special cast and crew section. There you could post a question or chat and they’d respond. Some were never on there, some posted occasionally and others were on quite frequently it was really up to them. They might have lurked on other parts of the forum if they chose but generally they stayed out of the show discussion threads and didn’t interact anywhere else. The cast forum was their safe space. If Idiot Nation ever were to return in any official capacity, I would envision and hope for something like this to take the place of all other social media interaction for them. Use official Green Day Instagram account to sell merch and promote tours, but the fan forum would be where you tease secrets shows and projects, chat with your biggest fans, answer questions, post photos, no stress, no trolls because it would be heavily moderated. I would very much like to see something like that for Green Day, with threads for them as well as Jason/Jason/Kevin, Bill, Chris, Greg, etc. (PS, it will never happen 🥺)

Maybe they'll stock up again when the European Tour starts?

I stumbled upon an article with pictures of Billie with "Blue" over the years and thought I'd share a some here Site was called the_area51.com https://www.the-area51.com/2011/12/billie-joes-guitar-blue-photos.html

As someone who saw Billie perform it in person, I can attest to the fact that he was outstanding in that role. He embodied the character so well and absolutely dominated the stage for every scene he was in, outshining everyone else there. Not very surprising seeing as St. Jimmy is a part of him. I would loooove to see a full, professionally recorded performance with Billie. I think that's what we all want. It would be so amazing to relive that.

We're fans of Billie so we'd enjoy watching his performance in full. Especially as it seems like probably his best acting performance, and as a stage musical (based on an album and character he created no less) it's unique for him. What's wrong with wanting to see it?
