There's a customer who comes in to my work from time to time named Claire Armstrong, and every time I have the biggest urge to ask "Any relation to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong?" even though it's a super common name and there's no way. But what if? What if she was like "Oh, yeah I'm his first cousin once removed" or some shit like that? I guess I'll never know!

I heard Good Riddance on what was the "oldies" station tonight. I think their programming format has broadened in recent years, but it was still jarring to hear my favorite band on the station my dad would listen to when I was a kid and annoy me 😂

Can't remember the details rn but at one of the RevRad shows he talked about eating McDonald's for the first time in five years and that it felt like having sex with someone you don't feel attracted to as well as that it was making him fart iirc. Then a few days/hours after that he started following a calorie counting account on instagram which left us wondering if he felt so guilty about that McDonald's meal that he thought it was time to count his calories. There used to be a video of Billie's McDonald's rant at the time but I can't find it now. Maybe someone who saved it or still knows where it is can help out.

Really? I think that's a particularly distinct feature of his (or maybe I've just studied his face for way too long ). So much so that I included it in my drawing *cough* shameless plug *cough*. He's got one under his right eye as well that they airbrushed out (not in the drawing because of lighting). I guess you get a limit of one single freckle on magazine photoshops.

Yeah it's weird because it's not like they're like over-the-top dreams or anything. It's just like "oh cool, I had a conversation with Billie" or "wow, they played some crazy rare songs at this 100-person venue in Columbus" or something and then I wake up and I'm like "well fuck." I guess another variable is that I rarely have/remember dreams so when it happens it's extra strange for me.

Ugh I hate those dreams! I've had so many dreams where I meet or hang out with bands, maybe get an autograph and I wake up like WHERE'S THAT AUTOGRAPH?! Then realize it was a dream 😩

I haven’t been sleeping well the past couple of weeks but last night I slept like a baby and had a Green Day concert dream. I have those every now and then and it feels so realistic — usually them playing a very small venue — and it’s such a disappointment when I wake up and it’s not real.

Me too! It sounded more funky on the scraps we heard from the secret shows but the end product was so flat

I really don't think setlists are something we need to start associating with Billie's issues. They were more varied back then because Green Day were still very relevant, which meant more people were interested in hearing deep cuts (especially at a small show like Shepherd's Bush). Even on the 99 Revolutions Tour there were some pretty exciting setlists because that was before the trilogy's lack of success was clear. It's not that deep.

1 had me dying. That's one of my favorites from Revolution Radio but it always bothered me how there's no s. And for Wow that's Loud, I always let the intro guitar part play, then skip the song. That one little guitar part is the only part I really like about that song
