  1. I made it and it was awesome! I'm tired as hell and have no voice left but I loved every minute of it. Once Green Day took the stage, all of my anxiety melted away. I didn't think it was possible, but I love them even more now! 🥰

  6. They removed Knowledge from their regular setlist and only played it very rarely between 2005 and 2017, only bringing it back to the regular set recently. It's just a fun tradition. Also why are people still pretending that Green Day making a setlist of popular songs and sticking to it is a new thing every time there's a new tour and it happens again? Go back to Dookie and check the setlists of any of their tours, it's always been that way. And with this being a 3 band tour with a shorter set in huge stadiums of course they're going to stick to that more than ever - they want everyone to know the songs and knock it out the park every night. That said, damn this tour sucks. Bad decision not to postpone it longer.......I hope things are looking better by the UK leg next summer. I'm sure there's some small print somewhere that says as long as one of the bands plays no refunds are owed or whatever but that really sucks, absolutely should be a refund option if one of the three headliners cancels.

  11. I don't know what makes y'all think next year is going to be any better... we said "next year" last year too. We have more vaccines than we know what to do with in the U.S. but people like Mike's wife don't "believe" in them and that's not going to change. This surge isn't because of breakthrough cases. This surge is because of unvaccinated people and the data supports that. https://www.vox.com/22602039/breakthrough-cases-covid-19-delta-variant-masks-vaccines As crass as it sounds, we will eventually have to just give up and stop caring. The only exception right now is kids — I feel terrible for children who have no say in the matter because of their crazy parents or aren't yet eligible for vaccines. And the few people who can't get them legitimately for health reasons. But I have no sympathy for anti-vaxxers and it's not my job to protect them. I'm so fucking tired of this shit.

  14. Fair enough, but they've still mostly stuck to the same setlist of popular songs on their tours through their career - it's normal for them and not new or a sign of decline. Even when they only had one popular album plus the two independent ones they still never played half the songs and stuck to "hits" for the most part. Glad to know! Btw I don't mean the shows suck, looks like they're great on stage. Just the timing and everything else about it.

  18. I'm glad they postponed the European shows until 2022. As for now, I would not be comfortable with standing for hours in a huge crowd. It doesn't seem like we'll get rid of covid anytime soon, it might still be an issue when they eventually come to Europe. I find it odd that they don't have any precautions for this tour. I don't feel like we necesarilly have handeled the pandemic in a good way here, but the precautions that are required for attending events I support. If you want to attend an event here, you have to either show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. I hope that there will be some precations if the pandemic is still ongoing when the European tour starts.

  22. If they're committed to having the tour this year, it seems like the best thing to have done is postpone these dates and tack them onto the end of the tour in September. I guess that wasn't possible due to the stages likely having been built already (or at least in the process) and because of possible schedule conflicts with the baseball teams. On a side note, it is time for Green Day to end the shtick of bringing fans up on stage. I know crowds love it but right now it is not worth it.

  24. who would have thought that asking one person out of several thousands if they’re vaxxed might not cut it as covid precautions for the entire tour

  27. While Fall Out Boy are out, Green Day and Weezer could add a bunch of songs. I know they won't, but they could. Each could play a few Fall Out Boy songs or just more of their own. I hope they get through quarantine okay and all is well. This Covid mess is really traumatizing me and I don't even watch or read the news. I can imagine the people that sit around watching it all the time must be in a REALLY bad place. My anxiety is obscene.

  35. I just got an email from Ticketmaster that you can request a refund for Citifield since FOB is not performing

  36. Wow @Beerjeezus really is all-knowing... they've pissed off more fans than they've pleased this tour, I swear. I guess it was only a matter of time before this happened, but I'd be fucking LIVID if I paid $200 for a ticket and didn't get to see my favorite band. They really should offer refunds because that's fucking shit. What if it happens to Green Day too?

  40. They're Green Day. They can't talk to the tour managers and edit things? Guess they're too busy selling coffee...

  41. Green Day is still the main draw, but reducing the product for the same price is robbery. We shouldn't have to compensate for their problems. Also waiting an hour between sets is extremely dumb. Green Day MUST see that.
    2 points
  42. At this point it wouldn’t surprise me... and to keep my brand, I have to say that replacing FOB with sitting there for an hour in silence still isn’t a bad trade as far as I’m concerned
    2 points
  43. Whatever your opinion of any of the other two headliners, you paid for THREE headliners and you expected those headliners. You in NY and Boston are now paying more per minute of the concert for your tickets, and if you are only there for FOB, it's now just going to be an unpleasant experience because you don't want to eat your tickets, but you don't really want to see GD or Weezer that much. It sucks. If GD cancels my show, I definitely don't know what I'm going to do. It's going to be so hot and I don't really like FOB or Weezer enough to sit through their sets without GD. But with no refunds, I'll also not want to waste every single dollar of my ticket. Not offering refunds during this time of increased potential cancelations of a third (or more) or the bill is just cruel to fans, albeit unsurprising, as the industry doesn't care about fans.
