Thank you to ALL of you for your advice and words of encouragement! I'm feeling a bit less nervous now since reading all of your words of support. Sometimes I have a hard time deciphering between my feelings of excitement and anxiety...they sometimes feel one in the same and I am walking a fine line there. I often wonder how Billie does it but I suppose his love of what he does forces him to overcome or deal with his anxiety most of the time. I am actually in awe of how sensitive he is and how deeply he feels that he can actually put himself out there like he does. Anyway, thanks again and I hope to report in on what an awesome time I had and what a great show they put on in NY! π₯°10 points

Why do we somehow come back to discussing what kind of bread Billie would be? π€£6 points

i see a common problem people get vaccinated and then think "its over", but you should look behind your personal wall, it is over when we get close to sth like heard immunity, and even then there are places like africa with only 1-2% fully vaccinated i got my second shot yesterday, and for me personally: i am done with covid, now chances are very low for me to get seriously sick but i still need to protect other people i live with, thats why i still stay vigilant, wear a mask where its needed etc6 points

I revisited the glorious days of Green Day Bread on Tumblr earlier today and what can I say? It is still funny and fangirl-worthy af and I'm a little sad this blog isn't updated anymore. (Yes, this is what college students do in their spare time. )5 points

Oh wow you and your friends in your particular area in your particular country are ok so that means everyone in the world is ok! Better tell all the people still getting covid, suffering in hospital with it or dying from it that there's nothing to worry about. Btw does this have anything to do with covid rules at Green Day shows? All I'm seeing is people pointlessly coming to the thread trying to provoke a reaction.5 points

That is way too cute! He seems to have such a childlike sense of wonder for those kinds of things. Probably disappointed there are no bottle rockets, though.4 points

Unfortunately (or should I say fortunately?), no cure for fangirling has been found to this date. I don't think there will ever be any sort of cure anyway. Have some Billie instead:4 points

You guys. I think I've caught the fangirling again. Send help.4 points

Just because you want it to be over doesn't mean it is. I don't know if you're just trolling/trying to get a reaction or what. Can we try to get back to covid/vaccine rules at Green Day shows please? Or alternatively if there isn't anything to discuss about that just don't post. Posting that vaccines or masks don't work or that the pandemic is over wouldn't work in the General Chat covid thread and it won't work here either. People aren't going to agree with you so it's just a waste of time.3 points

I do not suffer from any of the things you are struggling with so canβt really offer help. However, it sounds like your boys will take good care of you and believe me, it will be worth it! Well done you even getting this far, keep breathing and keep your head and heart up. Good luck and do let us know how you get on if you feel like sharing.3 points

Some counties here in California just announced today reinstate indoor mask mandate inside all indoor settings. I know that Dodger stadium has already mandated masks in concession area and concourses, but so far it is still an option in your seats.2 points

It didn't magically become 100% safe just because it's a new year. People are starting to do more, restrictions are easing, more and more people are getting vaccinated, things are getting better! But there's still a need for some caution - people are still dying, there's new strains, not everyone is vaccinated yet, in some places it's still a lot worse than where you are. We can be optimistic without pretending it's totally gone away when it hasn't yet. It's nothing to do with loving to wear a mask or irrational fear, it's just being sensible and listening to what doctors and scientists who are the experts say.2 points

How can you say it's over when people are still unvaccinated, vaccinated people are still capable of spreading the virus to unvaccinated people and many unvaccinated people are still refusing to get a vaccine or wear a fucking mask Look at worldwide vaccine numbers. Only 15% of the world is fully vaccinated. It's far from fucking over2 points

Whats worse is shes still posting the antivaxx shit while he's away on tour........meanwhile Sara and Adrienne are out there supporting the boys!2 points

@Vintage Disciple My best advice is try to have a good time! As someone who suffers from anxiety and claustrophobia shows can be a challenge. What often helps me is going with people I trust and maybe popping some CBD before hand. And usually once the band hits the stage all my fears have melted away. Hope you have an amazing time!2 points

You do have an advantage, if you get it it's likely to be much milder. How is it over when people are still dying from it and many aren't vaxxed yet? Just because it would be nice for it to be over doesn't mean it is. We're getting closer to it that's all.2 points

I do have a lot of anxiety, but I've not got the panic disorder on top of that. I'm sure that must have been a really hard decision to make to go to this concert and you're so brave to be doing it! I get super anxious every time I think about my show coming up. Because of a long lasting back injury, I'm not sure if I will be able to endure mine and I'm considering selling my pit ticket for looking for a good seat instead (that would cut out the 'when do I line up?', 'how will I get to the front?', how much pain will I be in standing that long?' etc. anxiety as well). I wish you the best of luck! It really is worth it and seeing Green Day live is the best thing in the world. I liked the striped shirt and the vest. Just look at him! Plus, RevRad also gave us what is essentially AI Billie again.2 points

Take breaks and walk around. Once Bohemian Rhapsody starts the euphoria will carry you through. I wear a mask at work for 9 hours straight -- it helps to try and breathe normally even though you want to take deeper breaths. SmartWater + Tranquility with ashwagandha is good for taking the edge off -- driving in cities I'm not familiar with stresses me out and that actually helped. You will be so happy and proud of yourself that you finally saw your favorite band.2 points

Yeah! I love that they're never too concerned about having a cool image to be silly and have fun. You never get that "too cool for the room" vibe from them as a band/performers, they're just natural and genuine and I really think that's what makes them the best. Billie is ho as hell on this tour......I can't believe I have to wait another year to see them π1 point

You are quite right, but we do tend to try and show our best sides to people and not pick our noses etc in public, yes it's culture and society but some things I am thankful of in the main! I certainly just find it interesting that if my husband or son did the things Billie does I would ask them to please stop, with Billie however, I laugh and think how cute/amusing/funny he is (tick box as appropriate) but none of it, nor the discussion here, is that serious.1 point
