You'd be able to be on tour with him if you'd just get vaccinated. 🙄 Honestly, for someone who's battled cancer, being antivax is bafflingly hypocritical. She's alive thanks to modern medicine, which includes life-saving vaccines. It's her decision, though. You can't force anyone and if she's content with waiting for Mike to get home from tour again then so be it. It's just really confusing to me and I don't understand it.

Hi fangirls, Long time lurker and time for a fangirl confession… My show is Wednesday at Citi Field…this is my FIRST Green Day concert EVER even though I have been a fan since they released Dookie. (See my user name?) My anxiety and panic disorder have prevented me from seeing them in concert until now. My son is a casual GD fan and he encouraged me to book tickets when they announced the HM tour. My husband is also coming and I feel comfortable going with both of them. Then Covid and the postponement…now the Delta variant…We are all fully vaccinated but my anxiety and panic are starting to kick back in as we get closer to the 4th. Any words of encouragement would be welcome as I am starting to panic. My boys are rocks and I know I’ll be okay with them but the thought of masking for all those hours and being around all of those people after basically avoiding crowds for 18+ months is so daunting. I'm afraid if I don't see them now, I might never see them live ever. 😔

I do have a lot of anxiety, but I've not got the panic disorder on top of that. I'm sure that must have been a really hard decision to make to go to this concert and you're so brave to be doing it! I get super anxious every time I think about my show coming up. Because of a long lasting back injury, I'm not sure if I will be able to endure mine and I'm considering selling my pit ticket for looking for a good seat instead (that would cut out the 'when do I line up?', 'how will I get to the front?', how much pain will I be in standing that long?' etc. anxiety as well). I wish you the best of luck! It really is worth it and seeing Green Day live is the best thing in the world. I liked the striped shirt and the vest. Just look at him! Plus, RevRad also gave us what is essentially AI Billie again.

I see Billie fist bumped the guy the other night. If I got pulled on stage and didn’t get to hug Billie I don’t think I’d ever get over it 😭 I am very glad he is protecting himself though. I think you are right. I saw a post showing Tre and him watching the fireworks and clearly loving them. The person was commenting on how excited he was by them but I think Billie was right when he said the fountain of youth is about never losing your sense of awe or becoming jaded, not taking stuff for granted and not leaning on your laurels. It was at the end of the Time 10 questions for Billie Joe Armstrong, which is awesome by the way if you haven’t seen it. Just annoying you don’t get all the questions on YouTube.

One of my rare visits here just to say Billie looks hella mega hot on this tour! I'm super happy to watch him on pictures and videos looking so great and healthy on stage. Also, I love the fact that the band didn't keep the total glam rock look the guys had when promoting the album. I guess they had read the comments about how ugly it was. Now they have just a little touch of glam rock fashion, but with a part of past tours fashion. It is perfect like that.

This is the kind of content we’ve been missing with the band not posting (Tre’s shower shots notwithstanding 😄) Must have more of this!

You do have an advantage, if you get it it's likely to be much milder. How is it over when people are still dying from it and many aren't vaxxed yet? Just because it would be nice for it to be over doesn't mean it is. We're getting closer to it that's all.

It’s not that hard to wear a mask regardless if you think it helps or not… even if it only helps 0.005% so what? I am vaccinated and I wear a mask because I want this to be over. I do not feel it is not an infringement on my freedom but I think ignoring guidelines and possibly getting someone else sick is a massive infringement on freedom.

I like his style in both this era and the Rev Rad era. But most importantly, he looks healthy, and is still siphoning water from the Fountain of Youth.

It didn't magically become 100% safe just because it's a new year. People are starting to do more, restrictions are easing, more and more people are getting vaccinated, things are getting better! But there's still a need for some caution - people are still dying, there's new strains, not everyone is vaccinated yet, in some places it's still a lot worse than where you are. We can be optimistic without pretending it's totally gone away when it hasn't yet. It's nothing to do with loving to wear a mask or irrational fear, it's just being sensible and listening to what doctors and scientists who are the experts say.

Just because you want it to be over doesn't mean it is. I don't know if you're just trolling/trying to get a reaction or what. Can we try to get back to covid/vaccine rules at Green Day shows please? Or alternatively if there isn't anything to discuss about that just don't post. Posting that vaccines or masks don't work or that the pandemic is over wouldn't work in the General Chat covid thread and it won't work here either. People aren't going to agree with you so it's just a waste of time.

How can you say it's over when people are still unvaccinated, vaccinated people are still capable of spreading the virus to unvaccinated people and many unvaccinated people are still refusing to get a vaccine or wear a fucking mask Look at worldwide vaccine numbers.
